One thing I learned in a correspondence game some time ago, where my opponent tried to invade my Moyo was that you don't have to surround to capture your opponent immediately, but preventing them from making 2 eyes is enough to kill a group. Taking all the liberties can be done later.
Just started been watching as many video’s and playing as many games as possible can honestly say the videos made me stronger for knowledge im loving the game more and it’s fun whether I win or lose
What helped me to become better at this was survival go; A variant where black essentially starts out with complete board dominance and all white has to do is invade and survive. Now I just have to learn to finish my shapes in regular games 😅 Edit: Ah, I see you recommend it at the end. A more difficult variant of it is where black has all starting stones at the sides of the board (except for 1,1 and 1,19 etc.)
You can usually find or organize a study group at your local Go club. Do you have one? Also, you might be interested in our mentoring service: gomagic.org/shop/mentor/
Please, you can't expect to start using a new concept for the first time and immediately succeed. You said you'd been playing for a while, which means that in your case it should take MORE time. You need to get rid of some of the bad habits first before learning the right things.
I absolutely love these videos. Thanks for putting them up for us scrubs to watch and learn!
Thank you so much! :)
Man, amazingly eye opening suggestion at the end with survival go. Thank you!

10 kyu vs 12 kyu
Wish i had a go study group who can help explain to me why some moves are bad
