kind sir: there is a life lesson here: We can't fight every battle. Some things we have to let go for the bigger long term functioning of our life. It is about stratifying our priorities, focusing on the things that will have a larger pay off, instead of being tunnel visioned blindly putting in more effort into somethign that will just continue to drain your soul.

      A very nice philosophical conclusion!

I sometimes have the feeling that I don't fight enough and that I currently have the opposite issue : I accept too easily the sacrifice to jump on an other plan :( I fail too many times to see the difference between stones that can't be saved, and stones worth fighting for.
I love this game, but each action seems to cost so much

Practise makes perfect! Watch our courses, solve puzzles and, most importantly, play! That way you'll improve :)

Don’t let my wife watch this video haha
Seriously though what ranking is this for ?
I’m a ddk around 15-10 or so and my biggest problem is consistency and forgetting to defend groups that were once strong , relatively.
Mostly though I just enjoy playing over a whiskey and a bit of reefer on the weekends. I like to win but I don’t get my Knickers in a twist, usually haha

This is the first lesson from this course
      gomagic.org/courses/typical-mistakes-2/
It's meant for players who are well familiar with all simple typical mistakes. I'd say at least 10k.

how to know how many points can one stone worth it

    • @GoMagic
      @GoMagic  Рік тому +2

      Errr....count? =))
But that's the beauty of this...in many situations when you see that the stone is important, you don't need to count how much exactly, you just know it's valuable enough to save.

@@GoMagic High quality instruction, but I agree the nutcracker stuff feels a bit silly. Been a fan of 10+ other videos from Go Magic & easily recommend them to beginner friends. I'd like to share this one as well, but feel like this episode needs to be shard with a disclaimer of trying to not get too off put by the nut cracker. I understand some % of users might enjoy that kind of humor, but for go audiences above 8-10 years old the nutcracker might feel hokey. No need to adjust this video & it's fine as is, but as constructive feedback from a fan who appreciates much of your superbly high quality content, future videos likely see better reception with fewer nutcrackers.

It may appear silly to you watching these easy to understand videos, but i doubt you can defeat Vadim in an actual game. He's a really good player and instructor making videos for the beginners. And that nut cracker visually adds to this 15 minutes long video making it easier to remember in a fun way.
If you're really a good player, you shouldn't be watching this in the first place. You better duel some professional only to get your ego drained a bit and be humbled. Imagine going to a primary school and telling the teacher that what's she's teaching is common sense and her teaching style is silly and not for us self-proclaimed professionals. Enjoy. 👍

so the question will be: is that extra dopamine of taking a stone worth the game? well... yes ofc i will lose anyways
