Bhojan Vidhi with steps and lyrics | ಸಂಕ್ಷಿಪ್ತ ಭೋಜನ ವಿಧಿ | Parishichana Mantra

Food should be prepared not only for your self but also for others. So with the ultimate Brahman in mind, the “bhOjana vidhi” has been prescribed by our sages. The prAnA, life force which is essential for all the functions in the body are strengthened with mantrAs. “ bhOjanam” is therefore called “prANAgnihOtrA”.
Here we have provided the steps along with mantra for performing Bhojanvidhi. This will be very helpful to every kid after his Upanayanam.
ಚಿತ್ರಾಹುತಿ ಇಡುವುದಾದರೆ: ಭೋಜನ ಪಾತ್ರೆಯ ಬಲ ಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀರಿನ ಗೀಟು ಹಾಕಿ 5 ಮಂತ್ರದಿಂದ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಅನ್ನ ಹಾಕುತ್ತ ಬರುವುದು.
ಓಂ ಚಿತ್ರಾಯ ಸ್ವಾಹಾ | ಓಂ ಚಿತ್ರಗುಪ್ತಾಯ ಸ್ವಾಹಾ | ಓಂ ಯಮಾಯ ಸ್ವಾಹಾ | ಓಂ ಯಮಧರ್ಮಾಯ ಸ್ವಾಹಾ | ಓಂ ಸರ್ವೇ ಭೋಭೂತೇಭ್ಯಃ ಸ್ವಾಹಾ ||
ಈ ಆಹುತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕೂಡಿಸಿ ರಾಶಿ ಮಾಡಿ ಅದರ ಮೇಲೆ ನೀರು ಬಿಡುವುದು.
ನವ ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಚಾರಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಂಕ್ಷಿಪ್ತವಾಗಿ ಇಡುವ ಕಾರಣ, ಚಿತ್ರಾಹುತಿಯನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಗೃಹಸ್ಥರು ಅಭ್ಯಾಸ ಮಾಡುವುದು ಉತ್ತಮ.

You have missed giving Bali to Devatha before taking Pranahuti.
You could have told the reasons for this ritual. For example we put little ghee before we take five ahutis. This is to indicate that our bhojana krama is a Yagna. We are offering the ahutis to God through vyshwanara agni in our stomach.
After offering this to God we should start eating the food.
Significance of ghee must have been been observed by most of us when we watch homa in temples.

I think one step is missing here for day time meals. We need to place a bit of rice out side the leaf at the right hand side i 3 or 5 places. and using water join them together

I too wanted to ask same question. As I understand chitravati is kept in morning and the no of chitravati what we keep 2 or 4 depends on vedha we follow. Night chitravati will not be kept. Please correct me if my understanding is wrong. Please also tell me on श्राद्ध day do we keep chitravati I am not sure. I Confused. Please correct me
