- Around 9 p.m., police said a 23-year-old was robbed at gunpoint, by five men and one woman, near State Street and Van Buren Street.

Downtown Chicago wasn't this bad a few years ago

Smh I missed the old Chicago where you could walk downtown and be safe.
But the people in charge of the city would still tell all of us that the streets are still safe, you’re just paranoid of one story.
Then the others would just tell us that we deserve this because we voted for it when a majority of us did not vote for this, and can’t afford to gather up the loved ones & families along with us to leave the city.
We are just surviving and some of us are saving up to try to escape, yet there truly is no escape anywhere, every state has it’s own problems with violent criminal enterprises (Gangs), and the growing Wokey problem that’s basically grown too big and out of control to where they are everywhere now and have a blanket over everything that we try to do in life.
When was that?

Don’t get your hopes up my friend, with every armed robbery stopped in Chicago, dozens of a hell more are being committed around us here that doesn’t make the news.
The police could only do so much especially with the laws in place against them, along with the public opinion against them.
