I take creativity over Eric Moore chops any day. A lot of people can drum like Moore, but nobody can drum like Nic. His detail is unmatched.

Everything on his set sounds amazing. Nic is just amazing. He's pretty much my favorite. I just wasn't as blown away by his stuff on the new album as I was from their previous music. I wonder if it's because they decided to record the drums last...hmmm

Charlie's Drum Corner From what I can tell, he's just using heel-toe on the hi-hat pedal. 5 minutes on your kit and you should have it down!

This drum mix is a lot better than the drum mix on the actual song
I was about to comment the exact same thing. Drums on the track sound so flat and quiet, kick is inconsistent and the cymbals are inaudible over the bass and vocals.

nice playing, dude. I don't play music for a living, but a quick tip in ergonomics... I'd lower those crashes a bit so your hand isn't above your heart. I did that myself and it relieved a lot of pain and unnecessary stress behind the kit.

I like these videos much more than with vocals. I do not enjoy the new singer and he is awful live, i miss the voice and feel of the original. The music itself though did not diminish whatsoever. I looked at a lot of Northlane vocal covers and auditions bu there was hardly anything to choose from, so I understand why they went with who they did, but he just doesn't do it for me. No negativity towards him but if the album was instrumental I would love it so much more. Texas in July broke up right when they got a new singer...maybe you should hit him up he's good as fuck.
