BEGINNING FILL = hh, snare x2, hh, tom1, kick, hh, tom2, snare, hh, tom 3, kick, hh and snare together. the pattern for the hands isn't "right, left" the whole way. after the first kick it starts on RIGHT again (as opposed to LEFT after the 5th hit on the tom1). then the pattern continues as normal until the last hh and snare together. Hope this helps!
Nic you are a fucken sic drummer man such precision. You guys northlane are one of the most exciting young bands refreshinf sound its different. You are freaking awesome live too
Is everyone glued to the floor or dead or something this is a banging song and no fuckers moving. JUMP YOU FOOLS AND GO NUTS TO THE POWER OF THE NODE! Dont let your limbs.......rot. (Hehe)
This is a drum cover but the sound quality here might as well be studio quality, this has always been my favorite version since seeing you guys in Jax and also coming across this video in 2016
+Michael Pieri Fitness Thanks for the love! We use Illustrator or Photoshop if we need to recreate/touch up the logos and then After Effects to animate them.
Can anyone tell me what hi-hats Nic is using? I know they're Sabian HH or HHX, but I am trying to find the exact pair. I have some Sabian APX 15" and they have this weird overtone to them that I dislike and love the dryness to Nic's hats.
use the left hand on the hihat acents and then use the right hand to distribute notes around the toms on your kit. I think its a easier aproach than what Nic does. You start with the left but its easier on the overall movement.
Oliver Burt RLRLRKRLRLK(RL together) HH,Sr,Sr,HH,HiT,K,HH,LeftFT,RightFT,HH,K,(Sr,HH) Sorry if it's wrong but i slowed it down and analysed it as best i could, its just singles all the way through.
TheArcTangente They're weak most likely because they're actually watching the band and trying to become familiar with them because they've probably never heard them before
1:56- 2:09 is exactly why you don't use melodyne to shift your voice up 3 whole steps, he can't even sing the high notes or even get remotely close to the pitches he's supposed to be hitting. Awful.
To any trained vocalist you can hear its definitely from a tired voice rather than vocal control. Kind of like when you've been to the gym for 2 hours and try and lift up something as light as a spoon. Your arms gonna shake.
It doesn't matter what a trained vocalist would know, what matters is the he's NOT a trained vocalist. He's not a little bit sharp or a little bit flat, he's no where near the pitches he's supposed to hit after playing a 30? 45 minute set? Good vocalists like Tommy Rogers, Dan Tompkins, and Spencer Sotelo will end an hour and a half long set on the highest note of their range and hit it perfectly, because they're trained vocalists and know how to not destroy their vocal chords in 20 minutes.
I know it's been 3 years, but damn dude, did we watch the same video? He sounds quite good, and he's on pitch. Yeah, he wasn't perfect but you gotta consider, for one, this was the dudes FIRST big tour, so no shit he doesn't have the stamina of the likes of Dan and Spencer. Secondly, he is hitting the right pitch or at least very fucking close, it's just a little shaky and strained at times because he's not used to singing live here. Considering he's only just joined a band of this caliber, I'd say this was a fucking great performance from him!!
I know this about the drums but can we talk about how good Marcus sounds?
***** in comparison to the older recorded one. The album version of the vocals sounds like there is way more meat to them
Whoa, I'm impressed of how good is Marcus live and I'm hating that fucking crowd.
Kevin Moya Seriously! Like, why is everyone so dead!?
Kevin Moya Marcus is a great singer, I don't understand peolpe hating on him. Perfect pitch at 2:37

These young guys really kick ass !!!! good stuff !!!1
That was a clean take man!!! Drums on this song are matched well to whats going on in the song.
Nic you are a fucken sic drummer man such precision. You guys northlane are one of the most exciting young bands refreshinf sound its different. You are freaking awesome live too

Fantastica Band Fantastico Drummer!!!!!!!!! 🤟😈👍

This is sick man!
Please upload the rest if you have anymore
We have two more. We'll be uploading Genesis today or tomorrow!
God damn! Spot fucking on!
have to switch favorites now..
How do I recreate this snare drum sound?
Caralho, simplesmente destruiu o batera!
Hey mate absolutely love the videos and quality. What do you use for the logo of the bands name at the start there?
+Michael Pieri Fitness Thanks for the love! We use Illustrator or Photoshop if we need to recreate/touch up the logos and then After Effects to animate them.

Cody McCall I believe they are the Sabian 14" HHX Fusion Hi-hats.
Does anybody know what software or apps did he use in his iPad?
im stilll trying to figure it out
Hydrogen Carbonate u guys figured it out ?
@@jimmyperron2210 allen & heath
Damn that high hat is hiiiiigh!
crazy drummer ...
Hey man! Do you know what Nic's set up is? Specifically?
If you google northlane rig rundown there's a full video on a site called rigged.com or something & nic's at the end :)
god
What kit is he using? Would love to know the dimensions!
Tama
Im guessing
Tom 10
left floor 14
right floor 16
Any way to play the opening fill without a left floor tom?
Travis Rice Put it on the right, use the toms you have available
use the left hand on the hihat acents and then use the right hand to distribute notes around the toms on your kit. I think its a easier aproach than what Nic does. You start with the left but its easier on the overall movement.
Whats the electronic thing on his drum set?
Hype It's an iPad with his in-ear mix.
What's the sticking for the opening fill?

Cheers buddy!! :)
1:18 , 1:22 🚶🚶🚶
what inch is that holy china? anyone?
I'm pretty sure it's 21"
Why'd Adrian have to leave...
alex williams get over it
That off tempo crowd clapping 😬
that weak crowd
TheArcTangente They're weak most likely because they're actually watching the band and trying to become familiar with them because they've probably never heard them before
no normal human being can play like that

The same thing happens for dan tompkins all the time coming from a massive fan
regardless. Everything about this show is perfect except for the vocals, which tends to be the case more often then not.

losing adrian was the death of this band
Vocalist needs singing lessons
GoatCentral You expecting miracles in a live show? God knows how far into the set they were anyway.
He's actually killing it consider this was their 3rd to last song.
GoatCentral He's also killing it being his first tour. He was fantastic.
GoatCentral he is 100000000002359232 times better than Adrian on lives.
