OMG welcome to the Gaga music video deep dives! I'd recommend watching Paparazzi then its sequel, Telephone! Im very excited on what you think about them, you are really on point. Very eloquently made analysis!
Wow to rewatch this video that I have seen hundreds of times, but through the lens of someone like you, was so refreshing! I loved your insight and your background knowledge on cinema really was thought provoking. Gaga writes all of the treatments for her videos so yes, everything actually does mean something. She is really big on storytelling and symbolism. Thats what sets her apart from the rest of her contemporaries. I hope you analyze the rest of her filmography! They get even better😍 Fun fact: The director of this mv also directed the Hunger Games movies!
That makes so much sense! That director has done a ton of cool music videos. I’m gonna have to start paying attention to directors when it comes to Gaga I think, I bet she gets some great people behind the camera
@ Yes! A lot of her best work though has actually been directed by her which is extra impressive 😊😊 It’s one of the many reasons why she’s my favorite. She is a jack of all trades. For storytelling, I’d recommend doing 911, G.U.Y, and Marry The Night next.
You really hit the nail on the head with this! A lot of her videos are fashion editorials come to life, but they usually have a story behind them. Alejandro is actually directed by one of the biggest editorial photographers. Buckle up for that one!
This choreo is super well-known and replicated. At Gaga shows there are always fans doing the Bad Romance dance in the audience, so I think you're right about the simplicity making it repeatable!
I recently learned that the first notes we hear before she starts singing are from Bach's fugue n°24 in B minor. Also, several outfits that she wears in the video are from Alexander McQueen
The video is relatively low budget compared to other of her videos, but it’s very clever. I love how they make the same white set look different in every shot mainly with lighting.
If you wanna do more Gaga videos, you might want to watch her Marry the Night music video. It's my favorite of hers, it's pretty long but it's sooo good
actually in the lyrics there is a part that references several movies, including Psycho (1960), Vertigo (1958), and Rear Window (1954) also there are some animal headpieces a bat and a mouse you should react to alejandro MV
I came for the Gaga reaction but stayed for your amazing perspective. I’m truly fascinated by your point of view. Subscribing for sure. I can’t recommend Gagas 911 or Marry the night video enough ❤
Can you please do a Kendrick Lamar music video. I love his videos from a film making perspective. I'd recommend "Alright," "Humble," "Squable Up," or "The Heart pt. 6."
@@Filmfinds1443 As someone who is huge fans of both Gaga and Kendrick, I'm 1000% down for this. Though the music they make couldn't be more different, they actually collaborated once in this past, on an unreleased alternate version of his track "Don't Kill My Vibe," but I think there were issues with labels clearing her vocals so Kendrick sung the version that is on his first official album himself instead.
She seemed to put so much more creative energy into her visuals (fashion and videos) than her songs, at least in her early career. This video is still fun. The last scene is my favorite. I like some catchy pop music as long as I don't hear it too often.
I’d like to mention the abundance of product placements her earlier videos had. It was severely annoying but it was a thing for music vids in the 2000’s.
I’m gonna be honest right now…I for sure know there is a person who does music that exists and her name is Lana Del Rey but I’m not sure I’ve ever actually heard one of her songs 😅. So if you have any specific ones I should check out let me know!
@ I think that’s even better that you haven’t encountered her before! For music video analysis I would suggest: Ride, Chemtrails Over The Country Club, National Anthem
Somebody else mentioned that too! And I had to run back and look at the lyrics thinking there was going to be some subtle reference I missed only to realized she just name checked 3 of his flicks and I fully didn’t hear it 😂
I love hearing your perspective on her videos, not enough people really look at all the details she packs into her visuals
We, the real "fans", actually really appreciate new people perspective over Gaga's art, no need to worry about anything else! :-)
Her Telephone song with featuring Beyoncé would be well worthwhile.
I’ll add it to my list!
@@Filmfinds1443 id recommend watching its prequel Paparazzi before heading to Telephoneee

@ I already had 911 and Marry the Night on my to do list, but G.U.Y is new! Thanks for the rec!
I love the fact that you analyze everything. Keep going girl I’m watching
The Applause video is a great video if you want one that looks like it is a collection of photos, very artistic

React to Alejandro - Lady Gaga
Love the reaction, can you react to Judas by Gaga too?
Sure I’ll add it to the list!
You are so insightful!! What you see in the detail - please keep going with Gaga’s catalog! ❤❤❤
“I will point out cats if they appear”
My brain “THERE IS CAT COMING IN THIS VID”
Ps check out Judas
Best surprise ever!
Your references and interpretations are en pointe! Please do more Gaga, little monsters love you!
I for sure am doing more!
The video is relatively low budget compared to other of her videos, but it’s very clever. I love how they make the same white set look different in every shot mainly with lighting.
I really love when people get creative with small budgets

you should react to alejandro MV
I read this and went to look at the lyrics thinking there was some crazy subtle reference I missed then realized the titles were just stated 😂 oops
She referenced Hitchcock in this song. “I want your psycho, your vertigo shtick”
Marry The Night, Judas, and G.U.Y. are great gaga videos
You’re the first person to mention G.U.Y. So I’ll for sure add that to my list
I came for the Gaga reaction but stayed for your amazing perspective. I’m truly fascinated by your point of view. Subscribing for sure. I can’t recommend Gagas 911 or Marry the night video enough ❤
I definitely recommend Lady Gaga's "Marry the Night" video, it's like a short film. 😊
I love how you chat on camera ❤
Can you please do a Kendrick Lamar music video. I love his videos from a film making perspective. I'd recommend "Alright," "Humble," "Squable Up," or "The Heart pt. 6."
I know Kendrick Lamar is a person but I have never heard one of his songs, so hell yeah I’m in! I’ll add him to my list
@Filmfinds1443 Awesome looking forward to vid:)

subscribed to watch your gaga reactions....ALso....that dog in multiple videos. Actually 2 dogs. I challenge you to find them.
Puppy search?? Challenge accepted
@@Filmfinds1443 Hint....start at the beginning of her videography.

As a film nerd myself, I’m disappointed that you missed the Hitchcock reference.
