You just heard the two greatest gifts country music ever gave the world. Alison has the most Grammy awards of any country artist at 27 and Vince has the second most at 22.
You've now heard this covered twice and still haven't heard Vince Gill do it on his own. Promise me you'll look it up. Vince's original recording is achingly gorgeous. He wrote it after meeting his now wife, Amy Grant, based just on her smile. He then played it for her, without telling her it was about her (they were married to other people at the time) and later learned that she thought, "who is that lucky woman?"
Gorgeous song. Her voice is angelic. The song and her voice really touched me. Your analysis is perfectly accurate. My husband and I have been married 31 years and this song expresses how I felt when we met. He still has my whole heart and always will. At our wedding we danced to "At Last".❤
This song was a big part of me and my husband getting together. He told me he thought of me every time he heard this song and that melted my heart!!!!! I still tear up whenever I hear it .... I lost him 6 years ago after 22 years of marriage!! What a special song! .... and Allison Kraus was his favorite female singer!
WOW 🤩. Have never heard Allison sing this song before. Would’ve never guessed anyone could sing it better than Vince Gill himself. Then again, Allison has the voice of an angel. Thanks.
This was an awesome show. This is actually Vince's song, but he and Allison took turns singing each other's songs and it was freaking awesome. Vince's high Tenor goes so well with Allison's voice they can easily swap out songs and sing each other's parts. 2 of my all time favorite Country Musicians. ❤ You should check out Vince's songs, "Never Knew Lonely" and "When I Call Your Name" to get a full appreciation for his voice. You already know of his songwriting skills and guitar skills.
Alison Krauss is one of my absolute favorite female singers. She was also a child prodigy on the fiddle. She often performs with the group Union Station, every member being an amazing artist in their own right. Dan Tyminski sang Man of Constant Sorrow for the film Oh Brother Where Art Thou. Jerry Douglas is only the world's best dobro player, and you do yourself an injustice if you don't check him out.
Their harmony is ridiculous!! Holy cow! Angelic combination
My favorite Vince Gill song. The song is just perfection.

Alison Krause also plays the violin extremely well. You can’t deny how beautiful both of their voices are!
Simply beautiful ❤
Vince is a wonderful singer songwriter musician
Honey for the ears.

so what you're saying is there are 2 divorcees out there who definitely hate this song. 😀
Agree....needs to hear just Vince sing this song!!!
@@jwhipple5567this song and a whole album of Amy’s, lol. The longing was apparent with those two.
Allison with Robert Plant also is a great collaboration! Anything Vince Gill does is amazing also! Great reaction ❤

Great Choice. Love both of their voices. Written about his now wife Amy Grant.
Amazing🤩🙌
My fav Vince tune, good choice man, and this version is something angelic.

I do believe that Vince Gill wrote this for his wife Amy Grant
You are correct
Yes ma'am you're correct
Beyond Beautiful Sunshine Song 🔥🔥🌻🌻❤️🔥❤️🔥 I agree Mr Boyd about what the song means 😊
❤❤❤❤❤👏👏👏👏
Absolutely love this song!! Chris Stapleton can sang it too ❤
Now you have to seek Vince Gills Official Video. Allison does some great duos but Vince is the one who OWNS this song.
Great version but the orginal by Vince is better
Totally agree!!
That's Allison Krauss singing with him. I think the original is by Vince and Reba
She's married to Robert Plant! They have music together as well.
You should check out any song Alison Krause did with Robert Plant from Led Zepplin!!!!!!
Doing Vince alone, that’s a request.
I hate the stereotype about country music. Thank u for doing this
❤👍👍
Please check out Chris Melanson from Canada the song is called Room's For Rent it is the best REAL country song I have heard in a long time.
Nah .. I'm not a big crossover fan .. Vince does this song excellent by himself
Can you do a Norman Sann reaction.
TIME FOR SOME MORE REAL TUPAC SHIT FAWK THE REST THEY AINT REAL 💯
Love your vids......how are you able to monetize all of them?
Just the Vince Gill version is better
