Willie McGee's two homer game in the 1982 World Series. Those were huge. How could you miss that?
Excellent point.
What they said^
And where's Tom Lawless
I was at the “97” opener where Willie won it with a walk off
I'm really glad you included Jack Clark's homer off Tom Neidenfuer in the 1985 NLCS against the Dodgers. There was no wild card in those days! I still remember how slow Clark ran the bases after that home run and also still love seeing Pedro Guerrero throw his glove down LOL. And of course, the homer that Albert hit off Brad Lidge is a classic. I never get tired of seeing David Freese's homer in Game Six of the 2011 WS. The Cardinals have a rich post season history that a lot of teams are envious of.
I miss Oscar taveras RIP
It still blows me away that people don't look at game six of the Cards series with Texas and not see that it was the greatest game in World Series history. Both teams went back and forth. I thought Texas had put the game away on more than one occasion, but twice down to their last strike the Cards came back. It was a game where neither team quit!
11 time World Series champs! Love the Cardinals!
huojin01 I was born in st.louis cardinals fan for life
2011😞
Serie mundial vs Texas 2011 6 juego
Sexto juego vs Texas 2011
Favor pasar 9y10 inning 6 juego 2011 vs texas
As a life time st Louis Cardinals Baseball fan I can't get enough of these moments as the ledgenary Jack Buck would say Go crazy, that's a winner
So Taguchi Home run SHOCKED the whole 2006 NLCS.
68weav It really did
Molinas game winning G7 HR surprising (check his 2006 hitting stats) and more epic.
So did molinas
Nice finishing with probably the greatest World Series home run of all time.
Nah the best is the pirates walk off in game 7 1960
This is 2nd .......1st is Joe Carter's walk off
I was at the Freese HR game, but you can't put it over Mazeroski in G7 of 1960 WS to win the Series vs the Yankees on a walkoff. Freese was G6. I rank Freese's over that of the much ballyhooed Fisk HR for Boston vs Cincy in G6 extra inn. Similar situations, but Boston lost G7, Cards won G7. All Fisks HR did was buy Boston 1 more day.
That decisive blast by Matt against Kershaw stunned.... The nation.
"Hey, maybe Kershaw won't choke for once this time, he's doing really w- Nope, there it is."
"We will see you...tomorrow night!"
Never gets old.
2:47 This one was my favorite...I had tix to Game 7 and was hoping I'd get to go. Thank you Jim Edmonds!
Great video. The cardinals are a historic team and you showed that in an amazing way
Should’ve included Ken Boyer’s grand slam in Game 4 of the 1964 World Series against the Yankees. The Cards won that game 4-3 and won the Series 4-3.
And McCarvers 3 run homer in game 7 against the Sox in 1967
Was hoping to see Gary Gaetti's grand slam off Maddux in 96' NLCS. I remember going nuts when he hit it
How bout his 3 run homer in game 1 against the padres that year
Those David freese moments in that World Series have got to be number 1 of all time. For it to be a hometown kid along with the circumstances... STILL can’t believe those last 2 games.
Carpenter put them on ice in game 7.
Definitely game 6 greatest ws game ever, perhaps greatest mlb game ever, perhaps greatest sports event game ever.
Pedro slamming his glove into the ground wondering why the hell Lasorda didn't put Clark on first, absolutely priceless.
That was so classic - LaSorda hated Clark and wanted to embarrass him- the best revenge for Clark!
Nice montage! Would like to have seen Jose Oquendo's home run against the Giants in the 1987 NLCS but still great nonetheless!
That's right. I almost forgot about it.
Tom Lawless’s bat flip in the 87 Series would’ve been nice to see a well. Or McGee’s homers in 82....or even a real throwback like Boyer’s slam in 64
Jose Oquendo's home run in the 1987 NLCS I would've liked to have seen too.
Yadi 2006 nlcs. Still sends shivers.
Jimmy Ballgame walk off in NLCS Game 6 was special. Loved his swing on that
Loved the video, though I was surprised you didn't have Tom Lawless's 1987 World Series home run. They lost the series, but that was the most unexpected home run of them all.
Not to mention the most unexpected slow roll and bat flip ever.
I was 8 or 9 in 2011 that was the best! I miss baseball so much 2020, let's go Cards!
Man that Dodger’s face after McGees Homerun! He looked like he was about to cry! Classic!
McGee's? You mean Ozzies?
No I don’t mean Ozzie. Looking at it again it wasn’t McGee either. I guess he was just on base. My mistake. Who is that David Green maybe? The second homerun of the video.
@@sheiladurk7299
The 2nd HR on the video is Jack Clark's game (and series) winning HR in G6 of the 85 NLCS. One of the most famous Cards HR ever. Jack is a white guy. And the reason Niedenfuerer (the P) looks that way is because he gave up Ozzie's "go crazy" walk off HR in G5 in StL as well as Clark's series ending HR in the very next game.
Hello Sheila how are you doing???
on the last one i like how he honors his dad jack buck by saying what he said years earlier
Awesome vid just missed Allen Craig game 7
Jack Clark's in LA is still my favorite. I just love the way Guerrero throws down his glove just like a little league player would have done!
I’ve watched the clip so many times I don’t need the sound. “Go crazy folks, go crazy”.
2:35 some say the ball is still up there somewhere to this day....in orbit high high above texas
I am one of those people who say that..LOL #ELHOMBRE #5 #PUJOLS
I saw many of these in person, including
Ozzie Go Crazy walk off vs LA G5 1985 NLCS
Edmonds 12th inn walk off vs Hou G6 2004 NLCS
Rolen HR vs Hou (Clemens) G7 2004 NLCS
Freese 11th inn walk off vs Tex G6 2011 WS
Last 3 Cards facing elimination. G6 2011 WS the craziest rollercoaster of a game I've ever been to. After Freese's 9th inning triple to score Pujols and Berkman to tie it 9-9, (thank you Albert for your 1 out 2B in the 9th to start that rally), I said to the guy next to me---"this is our Carlton Fisk game", Then Hamilton homers in 10th to make it 10-9. Then we tie it again with some blooper hits. Fisk remark 2 innings before the Freese walkoff.
And yes, you missed McGee's epic 2 HR game vs Mil, G3 of 1982 WS
Tom Lawless vs Twins, G4 1987 WS (epic batflip) (I was there)
and I'm assuming the orig poster of this vid was too young to remember the 60s (McCarver, Boyer etc)
Saw So Taguchi in the first couple seconds and had to instantly pause and like the video
I miss Albert Pujols
Great memories
Watching this now just to feel something in October 2024
Great video I love the cards
Awesome
Cardinals are the best 😀😁😂😀😁😁😁😀😁😀😁
Uhh, I don't think I saw this mentioned. The Cards had some guy named Pujols who hit not 1, not 2, but 3 HR vs Texas in G3 of 2011 WS. A 3 run HR, a 2 run HR, and a solo shot. 5 for 6, 6 RB1, a demolition of the Rangers in a slugfest game. Not only that all his hits and his 3 HR were in a row. Before that night, only a guy named Mr October and some guy named Ruth had hit 3 HR in a World Series game. That game was crucial, because it put Cards up 2-1 in Series, all the more important because the Cards lost the next 2. Only one of the single greatest performances in the history of the World Series!
Let's go cardinals lets go! I actually upload my own Cardinal videos!
Jack Clack, NLCS Game 6, 1985, would be one that I would add to this list. Will we see another big Pujols post season home run this year?
Terry Pendleton 1987 off if Mcdowell
Wasnt a playoff HR
Big city, Big city night!!!
They may not have the most titles but find me a more successful organization than the Cardinals with what they have. They are proof that you can win titles and not have to spend and bulk up your roster all the time. Amazing franchise and I wish all teams won like they do.
Yadi yadi yadi!!!!
I see it already included by others in the comments, but the 1964 grand slam by Ken Boyer against the Yankees must be in here as well. They were losing 3-0 at the time and won 4-3 to even the series at 2-2.
Cards as a rule haven't been a prolific HR hitting club .With our ball parks, speed, defense and pitching was the correct mixture. "'Whitey Ball'', so to speak. Ironically the times we have hit 'em, were in big games, in late innings, in pennant races and World Series. Most memorable to me are ''The Wizard's'' left handed Go Crazy , Clark's Dodger Destroyer, Freese's Tomorrow night Texas shocker. Let's not forget Lawless'es throw bat flip, like -I do this all the time blast. (think he only hit 4hr that yr)
Re Lawless, more amazing than that. He had hit only 1 HR in his career--the batflip HR was his 2nd and last of his career. And he had only 2 hits for .080 average that year. I can't believe he was on the WS roster.
How can you forget Tom Lawless!? The guy only had two career home runs!
I sometimes wonder...how many great ballplayers, from Ernie Banks to Mike Trout, who have never won a World Series ring, secretly wish that they had played for St. Louis?
Boyer’s slam in ‘64 Series vs Yankees ?
Me gustaría ver todos los cuadrangulares de David Félix
AND WE ARE GOING TO GAME 7 IN THE NATIONAL LEGAUE CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES!
And cardinals fans wonder why Molina always gets booed in nyc.
Andrew Burton that’s in Houston
@@andrewburton4748
Molinas HR WAS in G7 in 06. Pujols epic HR in Houston that sent that NLCS back to StL was G5. The poster may have been talking about Edmonds walk off in G6 of 04 NLCS. It would help if you numbnuts would be more specific and accurate.
Joe Buck’s ‘06 NLCS 2 HR calls had no life in him whatsoever.
Maybe he had some money on the Mets 😆
Saved the best for last. #12in19
What about Ken Boyer’s grand slam in game 4 of the. 1964 World Series against the Yankees?
Just for fun, I would have included the McGee home run that wasn't in the '82 playoffs.
NO Kenny Boyer grand slam in "64!!!!
My thoughts too. Probably not a lot of video on that one though.
I was just thinking that myself!
Ken Boyer grand slam in 64 is one of my all time Cardunals greatest memories!
Poor Tom Niedenfuer. 🙂
Love beating the Dodgers
SO!!!!
Praise StL
Where’s Allen Craig’s homerun from game 6 had it not been for his 8th inning hr in game 6 it wouldn’t have been 11 champions
You could say that about every run scored that game. You could say without Pujols 2B in the 9th of G6 with 1 out, with Craig striking out for the 2nd out after Pujols, if Pujols had made an out before him, Craigs K would be 3rd out, and Freese would have never come to the plate. As always, Pujols got the clutch hit when needed to start the 9th inn rally.
Who edited this? It needs work.
We will see you tomorrow night...
CHILLS
Too bad you didn’t include Ken Boyer’s grand slam in the 1964 World Series.
BERKMAN…
Dodgers gotta hate us
I'm actually a catcher
rip dodgers
SOME OF THE WORST CALLS I HAVE EVER HEARD!!!
Shove it up your ass.
Must be a Cubbies fan still butthurt over 108 years of squat.
