@@Asiddersfor a 23 year old shooting game like TIME CRISIS II, easily 10/10. Ren Hazuki even spent 33 hours playing this game both on 1997 Arcade original and 2001 PS2 port.😅

And after beating wild dog and stage 3-2, finally got to the final stage. Knowing that this is gonna be hard, I prepared my last 3 tokens and actually used all 3 because I struggled but I still managed to beat him. Then playing this again and beating this game all by myself... The nostalgia hits me hard.
they are not that bad actually, i couldn't even beat the game when i played it with the gamepad, you have Bern nearly forced to buy a ps2 pistol to play this game
Big Brody As inconvenient as that sounds I couldn't imagine playing these games any other way. The only light gun games Ive ever beat without accessories is Virtua Cop 1 and 2 and House of the Dead 2 but they're a lot more forgiving than Time Crisis.
They arent that bad considering theyre up against two dudes with infinite ammo and can practically see the bullets that fly towards them and be able to dodge them, also being able to wreck APCs with submachine guns

WARNING: This Comment contains spoilers (particularly for those who have not played the game yet). Keith and Robert appear in TIME CRISIS 5 as NPC (Non Playable Character) supporters. However, Robert is the main villain of the game although you will play against Keith at the end of the fourth stage. Interestingly, the game has a HOUSE OF THE DEAD flavor is you go against Zombies (or is it zombie-like)which tends to charge at the player in stage 5 of the game. Like zombies in most video games (like RESIDENT EVIL), you can quickly kill them by shooting the heads. Another feature of the game is that it has two pedals (as opposed to one in previous games) which allows the player to move to other views, which is great for dodging those red sharp shooters. I played the game recently costing a couple of credits, but I managed to get through, vanquishing the traitor at the end of the game. I recommend playing the game for more details and the get the hang of it.
Had so much fun playing this co-op with friends. I had gotten time crisis 1 with the guncon for the PS1 and it worked with this game on the PS2. So when I eventually got this game with the guncon 2 bundle I was able to play co-op and each of us have a light gun. NAMCO was just great that generation. Came out the gate swinging with Ridge Racer V right at the launch of PS2.
Such an improvement from Time Crisis 1. Two players makes it fun to play with friends. Dynamic camera angling adds to pacing, and Stage 3 does a good job of this making the camera turn in different directions constantly. Even blowing things up is fun to watch, just look at 2:06. Voice acting still cheesy, and script just as shitty, but at least they somewhat improved on the enemies. Back in TC1 there was a mixture of "HALT! THERE HE IS! FIRE!" TC2 has "GO GO GO!"--can't seem to hear anything else unfortunately, maybe sound was just too loud. Adding body armor to enemies didn't really make them harder, but it did make you conscious about the time (the later installments, however, make this a pain in the ass sometimes). The soundtrack was lovely, especially a remix from TC1's track and Wild Dog's theme.
This will always be my favorite Time Crisis game ever. From the setting, the characters, and the music. The boat chase stage is my favorite part of any Time Crisis game as seeing that as a kid made me go, "Woah! This is cool!" It's a shame what Robert became in TC5 tho. :(
This game was one the first videogames I ever played, I was about six or so when I finished it through sheer dumb luck and a lot of wasted tokens. Really this is a great nostalgia trip. But after palying Time Crisis 5...there's this *SADNESS* that goes with the nostalgia now. Despite how cheesy the dialogue is you really get to dig Keith and Robert as good friends and partners, seeing it all fall in 5 was pretty tragic.
20:22 As you can see that , Wild Dog's head got a huge scar after being shot down by Richard in Project Titan ... All I have to say , Richard is the only one who can kill Wild Dog . Because he is the one who broke Wild Dog's arm and give him a huge scar...
"Oh, I destroyed a semi truck, an APC, a gatling-gun mounted motorboat, a train, several helicopters, a nuclear powered satellite and the rocket to lift it, killed a guy swinging a cruise missile around, a guy with a gatling gun for an arm who can survive blowing himself up, and a card-carrying villain wielding a rocket launcher. Soooo...how was your day at work?" Freaking VSSE, more improbable than Nick Mason. Unless you're Crisis Zone, then you just steal Nick Mason's invincible riot shield.

Ahh Time Crisis 2, the only arcade game I've ever beaten all the way through on a single credit. All thanks to this PS2 version, as I think it was the only way to unlock mirror mode, and I reeeeally wanted mirror mode haha.
