  • I have wanted to learn metal jewelry work, and this was the perfect intro project! We created a diadem / circlet inspired by those found in ancient Egyptian tombs - in one day!

One thing i love about crafts is the opportunity to fail badly and learn new things. Congratulations on acquiring a new skill.

Gorgeous!!! Thank you SO much for showing the process!!!
How thin and delicate was the brass you used for the flowers, that you were able to cut it with scissors?
This is a similar process to the Egyptian diadem I made (except I cheated and used a laser cutter and laser marker for my floral designs). I also used soldering to put it all together.

Absolutely stunning! I myself live in the PNW, so I was wondering if you had treated your diadem for rust and were thinking about putting in a band of felt on the inside to make wearing it more comfortable when wearing it without a wig?

Pretty! I always love learning new crafts. Good job!!! How did you secure the gems to the diadem?

Hey! Do you know what the Ancient Egyptian armlets worn over the biceps are called? Specifically the ones that arent much ornate and essentially just a brass ring. I can't find them anywhere and i figured I might not know their proper name
