Video idea maybe? I would be so interested in a Q&A of you and Nathaniel on your marriage and what’s worked for y’all to navigate careers, parenting, and your relationship while staying connected to each other. FTM and would love some help ❤ 😅
My daughter dropped her nap right at 2 years old and I was so not expecting that to happen, she almost 4 now. It’s awesome that he’s still napping. I would like to offer you encouragement that whenever it happens, the transition will be easier than you think. Sending love & light.
I don’t know any other children who have napped older than 3! You’re lucky! I do quiet time with my eldest and it’s lovely while my youngest naps. My eldest is tired by then and happy to relax so hopefully rocky will be too!xx
I usually do our walks first thing in the morning and then when we get home I’ll do my workout. This is the only thing that has stuck for me. It’s so hard to find a good routine, but once you find what works it’ll be so much easier!
My older daughter stopped napping at 2.5 overnight, so we transitioned her to quiet time in her room instead. Usually I occupy her with the Tony’s box, a snack, & some puzzles. About the walk, I actually take my toddlers out everyday before quiet/nap time at noon. They get fresh air & sunshine before napping/resting & actually go down easier. Has worked well for us
Thanks so much for sharing all the 75 hard and health stuff as a mom! My kids are very close in age and about the same ages as yours. I’m doing 75 hard for the first time now and I love it! My hope is that I can do some of the outdoor walks while my kids play at a park and I can just walk around them. So far they’ve done fine in the stroller.
30k is a HUGE deal! Congratulations on that milestone! For Rocky & his naps (former childcare / Preschool teacher here!) if he's still napping, keep it! Especially if he still struggles at nighttime with his mood when he doesn't get the naps. Every child is so different and if he still does fairly well with his daytime sleep don't stress about the age part of it! Currently the 4.5 year old I nanny for still takes hour and a half naps. Now, inevitably nap time will be dropped whether that happens in two years or in two months. What has worked really well in the past is using a hatch. Basically you tell him that until the sound changes, he's going to rest his body (20-30 minutes I feel like is pretty good.) That he doesn't have to sleep but that if he does, his body probably really needed it. Now if he doesn't fall asleep, after that 30 minute mark you manually change the sound & light to the whatever quiet time settings you want to use! Then he knows that he can play in his room for a while until it turns green and he can come out. Hatch colors that could work are- Red for stop & lay down, Yellow for slow & quiet play, & green for go. This works really well for kiddos that are still at those stages that are pretty needy thus you needing nap time for a break, but old enough to understand concepts like this. You can also totally skip the sleeping part but if he's sometimes napping this worked really well for me! Feel free to message me on instagram if you have any questions!!
Love your content so much! It feels genuine and also brings motivation! I watch the vlogs while making dinner or while folding clothes, definitely makes it more enjoyable 💗🌷✨
My oldest is going to be 5 in July and we still do quiet time every day she has to go in her room and be quiet and relax for a while. She has a hatch and I turn it green after an hour and a half to 2 hours depending on how she’s doing in there. Depending on what we do in the morning she will usually end up falling asleep after 30 ish minutes and take an hour nap around 4 days a week!
I normally do our walk around 10am. That way I’m back for lunch and nap. I currently have 4 under 4 and this works best for us. Evening walks seem to be a mood killer for my kids.
I have started watching you a little over 2 years ago because of your gestation diabetes videos. And I have been loving watching you since then ❤ I just wanted to say that you’re incredibly lucky to have babies who nap so well. My son is about 1 month younger than Ekko. At 4 months he started napping for only 30 minutes at a time, I hopped it was just a 4th month sleep regression but unfortunately it stayed like this and for the rest of his first year he would only have two 30 minutes long naps. If you wonder how I managed to do stuff, let me tell you, I just didn’t and I had to accept it. His naps are usually my only free time during the day so I would just relax, take a coffee in peace and when I finished and he was still asleep I was doing things around the house for as long as he was sleeping. At 12 months he dropped the second nap and at around 14 months he started napping for a longer periods of time. Since then he has been napping anytime from 30 minutes up to 3 hours (3 hours maybe twice a month and usually it’s around 1 hour). So even now it’s hard to do much during that time if you don’t know how much time you will actually get. He is now in childcare and I’m working full time so the only time I can do stuff is after he goes to bed or during the weekends when my husband takes him out for a few hours. So please appreciate how lucky you are and have in mind that your future babies might not be such good sleepers so it might be a good idea to try to stop relying so much on their nap time to do work and housework.
For the 1-0 nap transition I would just continue putting Rocky down as normal (overlap it with Ekko’s nap) but get him up after an hour passes if he’s not asleep, then aim for a little earlier bedtime. Eventually when you notice he’s rarely going to sleep, just continue the same thing but allow quiet activities like books/Tonie box. An hour isn’t a lot of time but it’s enough to get something done - prioritize things you can’t do when the kids are awake. You’ll realize there will be more and more that you can get done when they are awake especially as they get older.
My daughter napped up until like 8 months ago when she started kindergarten (they don’t nap at her kindergarten) so when she’s home during my son’s nap, she has the option to either play in her room, play outside or watch a movie quietly! Aka she’s doing something where she’s not at my feet while I do tasks, rest too, etc
And before people anyone judges, she doesn’t play outside without my supervision 😂 she can play out in our fenced-in backyard without me out there, but I am still monitoring her
Only here to randomly share because my dutch oven pot looked exactly like yours before I learned: Hit it with some Scrub Daddy Power Paste and it will look practically brand new! And it's all natural plus won't scratch it! 10/10!
Hi Kilean, congrats on 30k, well deserved 😀 have you tried press on nails they have come along way, I enjoy the glamnetic nails they have some cute designs, their brush on nail glue is so good the nails last at least two weeks
My daughter loves to hear stories about when her Dad and I were little. But it usually hypes her up way too much haha. Also stopped naps before 3 over here 😢
From transitioning to no naps I would do quiet time the same time they used to nap for as long as they will let you.😂 even if it’s a movie, laying on the couch or playing in their room

I look forward to your videos each week Kilean. They are very inspiring and motivating. Thanks for sharing ❤

Not sure with the heat in Arizona but we love to do a walk around 10am and stop at the park for a bit. Home in perfect time for lunch and nap!
This is so smart why didn’t I think of it 🤣
Congratulations on 30k! 🤍 I’ve been here since Rocky was a newborn! I enjoy watching your videos ☺️
Lately I’ve been using micellar water on make up eraser cloths I got at Costco and it’s super gentle on my eyes!

🤣🤣🤣 that thing needs a good cleaning lol ON IT
Hi Kilean, congrats on 30k, well deserved 😀 have you tried press on nails they have come along way, I enjoy the glamnetic nails they have some cute designs, their brush on nail glue is so good the nails last at least two weeks
I would like to see more meal ideas, snacks, dinner, and lunch. I am struggling with that.
Yes we love dreamland!
You got lucky that rocky napped for this long!
Your videos make my day 🫶🏽✨
You just made MY day!!
I checked your LTK but couldn't find it so I thought i'd ask, where is your dark wood tiered shelf in your kitchen from? tysm
My mom 🤣 wish I could link!
@@KileanRodriguez I just went back to your video from 2 years ago and you said it was from your Mom, I was like nooo haha. Beautiful piece!! :)
I just use a makeup eraser towel on my eyes and no face wash! My eyes are so sensitive too.
My first born napped up until 5. And my 2yr old now is already refusing naps it’s a challenge to get her tired so she can nap.
My daughter loves to hear stories about when her Dad and I were little. But it usually hypes her up way too much haha. Also stopped naps before 3 over here 😢
I have sensitive eyes too so I put Vaseline on my eyes and wipe with a wet cotton round to take off my eye makeup then I wash my face as usual.
Okay going to try this!!
From transitioning to no naps I would do quiet time the same time they used to nap for as long as they will let you.😂 even if it’s a movie, laying on the couch or playing in their room
Where is your dress from? It is so cute ❤
Called to surf 🤎
Try walking after dinner as a family. 💕
First!
