I know I said my next video would be on my process of building community lots, and that is still coming, just might break it into parts-- I am still deciding how I want to go about it! Another tip for naming sims, if you look at a lot of townies from the sims franchise (specially the most lore heavy ones like the sims 2) you'll notice that a lot of their names/last names have a meaning that coincides with their stories. For example, Angela and Lilith being names that mean both angel and demon/ghost, Don Lothario which are both different ways to call someone a womanizer, Olivia Specter (which comes from spector) is in charge of a large graveyard on her backyard and she's rumoured to be a serial killer. There's lots of more examples, but I think you get the gist, try to look up names that have some sort of meaning that matches your sim's personality or story

Wow, thank you for this. This has inspired me to create. I had never thought of approaching the game as if I were creating a world like I do when writing novels, and how much deeper the story goes when the world is filled with not just random NPCs beyond the main characters, but actual world characters with a story and a life outside of the main characters. I hope you find the time to keep creating these videos. You are inspirational.

I want to make a save file just for San Mayshuno, with only Adult / Young Adult sims. This feels more fitting for city life imo. BUT, then I start to wonder about the sims required for the other worlds… I’d stick mainly to San Myshuno, but for “travel” worlds, I’d need sims there as well😅 man. This is overwhelming.
Wow! I have to admit, I really struggle with create a sim 😅 I find it really difficult! Creating sims is definitely the dreaded part of making a new safe for me, so thank you so much!
Also, don't worry about being extra :D I was planning on writing down the number of townies in all the households RIGHT BEFORE you mentioned your save file! You're a life saver! Thank you so much lol. Also, I use baby name sites too ;) teehee. It feels more personal 🥰

Did he finally give us an updated NPCC version for public? Otherwise the mod won't work anymore if you download it from this website and you have to get it over patreon. But I don't know if he keeps it updated there, because I heared he wasn't around for a while???
Last time he posted on patreon was in august
Zero has a free mod “Assign Npcs Roles.’ It has very basic functionality, but it’s updated and not locked behind a paywall (it’s on patreon , but a public post). They’re usually pretty good about keeping their mods updated.
He hasn't been around in a minute, so the mod is a little outdated, but so far I haven't noticed any problems besides it not being updated with the latest careers and roles from the newer expansions and packs! I'll go over it more in my next video!

I just came across the NPC Control Mod myself and would love a review video on it.
This video series is super helpful. I really appreciate your "right to the point" approach. Other videos can take too long to explain things IMO.

Do you know how many sims there are for each of the roles and careers ?
I don't know actually! I just assume the game will need like, a handful of each. So I try making like 3-5 sims the game can pick and choose to show up for a role/career!
