I have a theory, so you going want to buckle down for this, and maybe grab a snack, a beverage, and the load of laundry that’s been simmering in your bed for weeks, because this is going to be a long one 😂 I know the reason why Eliza is a ✨KAREN✨ She met Bob in elementary school and they became close, their families thought they were a good match, giving they were both nerds and had a lot in common. Well I’m 8th grade, Nancy, Geoffrey, and Mortimer all got to the same school, (Mortimer is probably in 10th grade) and they all become friends, well in highschool, Bella moves to the town of Copperdale, (yes I know but just hear me out) and from the moment Eliza and Bella laid eyes on each other they were in ✨LOVE✨ maybe it’s because they were both the same in different ways, but not to mention that Bella is a ✨CANCER✨ (my zodiac sign it’s true) and Eliza is a ✨VIRGO✨ so if you know what that means I don’t need to explain, but basically it just means they’re compatible. I digress, they start hanging out, and Bella becomes popular, but would prefer to study about the government, and the FBI rather than gossip unlike Nancy, who lived for the tea, and would stir up the kettle. Anyways Eliza and Bella stay after school late and Bella wants to walk her home, we’ll Eliza kept telling her she should probably leave and that she would be fine, well Bella rode her bike with Eliza and they stopped at the park, and just talked there for hours, well as the time increased, so did their feelings for each other, well Eliza kissed Bella and “ quickly” apologized (25 seconds later) but here’s the thing, Bella didn’t stop her in fact, Bella kissed her again. Let’s just say, school uniform jackets taken off whist they stayed there for hours. Well they talk about things and go out on a date, well after the date they go back to Bella’s house, (no one was home) and they got down to things… If you catch my drift… Bob has a slight crush on Eliza and he confessed his feelings, and Eliza says needed sometime to think about it, well she asks her parents what they think about LGBTQIA+ and members of the community and the parents were against it, and they told her they’re glad she’s not like that, ( I’m not condoning this behavior, I’m on the asexual spectrum and as a member of the community I’m just saying I don’t condone anything homophobic whatsoever) She’s heartbroken, and tells Bella that they’re over, and starts dating Bob. Well, Bella starts talking to Mortimer, and she becomes interested in him and they start dating. We’ll it turns out that Nancy had threatened to tell Eliza’s parents everything that happened between her and Bella, unless she got married to Bob after graduation. She agreed because she never wanted to disappoint her parents or let them know another she sexuality. Fast forward to Graduation, Bella and Mortimer are moving in together, Nancy has started dating Geoffrey for his money, And Eliza and Bob are set to get married a week after the graduation. So, in a explanation of everything I’ve said, Eliza is so rude to everyone is because she’s secretly a ✨LESBIAN✨ and she doesn’t want anyone to know, so that’s why she married Bob, because it was the safer option, and she probably fell in love with Bella or Nancy (but for my theory Bella) and they both wanted to be together but because of how things were at the time, marrying the opposite gender was the best choice. And maybe Eliza promised that she’d tell everyone (especially Bob) about their romance and they would run away together, we’ll low and behold Eliza chickens out and doesn’t do it and tells Bob she’s in love with him and they get married after highschool. Bella was probably heartbroken by Eliza’s choice, but married Mortimer because she did have feelings for him too, just not as strong and passionate as Bella’s for Eliza. Well fast forward, Bella has children and is loving her life and hasn’t talked to Eliza since graduation day probably 15-20 years and, Bella is happy but still probably wishes she could be with Eliza, but has come to terms with it. Meanwhile Eliza is bitter, angry, hurt, because she’s not living the life she wants too with Bella. She’s hurt that Bella chose Mortimer. She’s hurt that everyone from her highschool friend group is living their best lives while she’s stuck in the closet. She’s hurt that Bella didn’t choose her even tho Eliza is to blame because she ditched her. She’s hurt that Bella didn’t say Screw it, I love you and and you love me, who gives a 💩 if we’re together, all that matters is we have each other. She’s hurt that she can love who she wants to love because her family thought it was wrong and she’s carried that with her. She’s hurt that she married Bob and pretended to love him when she’s loved someone else this entire time, and that’s why she’s mean to him because she feels guilty for stringing someone innocent along for years. And she’s so angry that she chose the wrong person to marry, and takes it out on everybody, (mainly Bob, only Bob) because she’s so pressed about her own decisions about her life/sexuality because she can’t admit to anyone let alone say it out loud that she’s a ✨LESBIAN✨ and prefers looking at a photo of Judith Ward and Octavia Moon than Thorne Bailey if you catch my drift. But ultimately this is just a theory, I’ve always felt bad for Eliza, even tho I can’t stand her it’s kinda sad that I came up with this theory and it possibly isn’t even true. Anyways, do y’all want to debate theories? I’m open to thoughts on this. Anyways sorry for my long comment, I got a little carried away 😅😂

i had a straight couple w triplets and the dad was like emotionally unavailable and had the evil trait and he didnt really connect with his wife but then he became best friends with travis scott and fished with him and then had an affair with him and then the wife died and they got together but then he died and travis helped the now teen triplets through the end of their teenage years so hes kind of a G in my mind
I agree with lilsimsie that the roommates household (travis, summer, and liberty) is bland but I think I know the reason for that. The roommates household are characters from a side sims game called My Sims (kingdom, agents, and the others), and what I think the Sims Team did was easter egg them into the sims 4, but they didn't do that well in my opinion. Summer is a cheerleader, a party lover, she is very peppy and bubbly, and likes cute things. Liberty likes snakes, has bucked-teeth, is a free spirit, likes the outdoors and is bit of a hippie and a geek. Travis loves to party and have fun, is a good natured spirit and is on his phone a lot. I hardly see any of these traits in the Sims 4 (liberty is the best one out of the 3 but still needs updating), they need a refresh in my opinion.
I have had personal bad experience with Liberty so put her on the bottom, but after hearing that, I am going to go give those three a makeover and make Liberty cool again!

I never played with townies, so I know them just from meeting in clubs or bars. And funny thing is that Travis Scott and Huntington III are most familiar to me, I see them everywhere, don't know how :)
Please do it with all other townies in all worlds. That’s so interesting how other people feel about the same characters. For me Jeb Harris is the best male sim ever. He has so strong genes although. Our kids always look so much like him.
@@Dainielleful she and my sim (Aabria) were enemies just to spice things up. But Aabria was a werewolf so when they fought each other, Summer got turned. Later I went back to fight Summer again for fun, and she randomly flirted with Aabria and became her fated mate. I tried to cheat it away, but it wouldn’t work. And then every time Aabria tried to flirt with her wife she felt guilty because her wife wasn’t her fated mate. My whole plan was to make Aabria’s wife her fated mate. I had spent hours of real time helping my werewolf build enough skills and relationships and then summer ruined it all.
Oh she's my neighbor and my sim is a single Dad...considering that she's attractive, is in the culinary career and is social, I think she would make a good wife.
I had Don Lothario lose the trait of being a roamer, and married him to Travis Scott. Don became a top tier bodybuilder and Travis became a very successful programmer, and they moved to a little house in Sulani ( The one next to the volcano - I've expanded it a fair bit, but it's still small and most of the extra space is used for guests) and adopted a Shiba Inu dog. They sometimes take in homeless townies, who they keep until they've got a career and leveled up, then gift them a bunch of money (because Don and Travis are very rich and don't need it because they live in a little house) and move them out to their own house somewhere.
Originally Bob was my preferred Pancake, but then I played Dream Home Decorator and he was always rude and critical of my designs while Eliza was much nicer, so now my opinions of them have swapped :P
This is funny to me for the sole reason that I had literally the exact opposite happen to me lol Dream home decorator is what made me go from being neutral on eliza and immediately preferring bob because of how they reacted to my designs 😂😅
I have a weird attachment to the BFF household. When I first downloaded seasons I created a sim and moved her into their neighbour. They were the welcome wagon and I lived out my Friends fantasy with the four of them becoming best friends and doing all the fun seasonal activities together. I then had my sim marry Travis and they started a family and now I have a weird attachment to them! 🤣 But I agree fully with Summer being in the stay away from me category!
@@Manu-ir1pg they are currently working on pronouns for every language as each language is diverse. They are consulting with people from each country (last I heard) to come with proper pronouns. It's a slow rolling out feature.
Johnny Zest is iconic to me personally because yeah hes a disowned landgraab, but also he lives in an old ditsy converted caravan and has dreams of becoming a star and proving his family wrong. I also played with him and gave him a very dramatic relationship with the sad clown. They had their ups and downs but eventually married and had sad clown children in their rundown pink caravan, and that was one of my earliest playthroughs of the sims so hes iconic to me
Travis and Sumner are some out my favorite sims !! lol actually liberty is one of my f-tiers bc her formal vs casual hairs being different lengths has always irked me Bob is so Iconic!!!!
Johnny Zest is my legacy sim, and he was an amazing father. Loved his many many kids. I'm on Gen 7 and his bloodline is damn near perfect. 🥰🥰 Although these other townies make me curious about starting new saves and seeing where it goes with them. 😶

Same. First person met in first game. First wife. I pretty much adore Summer. Though really, it's just Travis that is forgettable part of the BFF household. Liberty and Summer are usually package deal when you get involved with one or the other. If I marry Summer, then Liberty is our new lifelong roomate, and vice versa. They really are a cute couple, whether romantic or not. Travis just gets deleted to make room for better sims. Sorry, not sorry, Travis!
I always play with Travis Scott. All of my save files, except one, contain his genes. He really can be a good guy if you give him a chance. He is an excellent father/grandfather. I am currently playing a file that has his son in it (about to be an elder). If you want to get the Rocket Scientist Achievement, he is your man. He makes it easy (as long as he LIKES FITNESS). And the Space Ranger uniform looks pretty damned nice on him 👍
the Spencer-Kim-Lewis, the family that made me download a polyamorous mod so I could be the main couple's partner in a multiple exclusive relationship, because I was indecisive between both of them. good times
For me, J Huntington is the best base game male townie, my sims alwaaays date him and he's the patriarch of a really long legacy challenge that i've been playing. I love him very much.
Summer holiday has always been a part of my sims lives all the time, I see her everywhere and my sims always meet her I think she’s a cool townie but she is rude when it comes to relationships
Don Lothario is a lot of things, and he always inevitably ends up in my sims' lives in some way, shape or form, but I've never played a save where he hasn't at least tried to be a good father, actually 😂 If I end up moving him into the household/marrying him to torture me and my sim (and him, too, because we all deserve it), he cares for the kid more than any other sim around (even the mom). Everytime I use him for the baby challenge, he visits very often. It's not what I expected from him at all 😂
Summer Holiday is actually my favorite townie and I’ve redesigned her several times over the years. She’s always been the easiest townie to flirt with and she always looks so happy. I love her. Editing to add: Recent-ish, I remade her again and also made her parents. She has two moms, one is NB, and they are so cute interacting with each other. I actually don’t really care much about Travis or Liberty, but they’re important to Summer so I intend to make their families too.
I'd put put Liberty Lee in stay away because she was OBSESSED with one of my sims. We spoke to her once and Liberty kept blowing up the phone day in and out inviting us to everything, showing up at the house, trying to chat etc until I deleted her so now I pretend that we got a restraining order against her lmao.
Bff is my favorite household. Summer transitions into Sam. A trans man himbo. So then it's like OHHH Sam wanted to BE travis not date travis. Then liberty chooses between two men. Much more intriguing story.
Definitely does sound much more intriguing. I've not ever gone to such extreme lengths, and Im not sure I could endure seeing Summer in such a way (first sim love affair and all that emotional jazz), but it has an engaging plot line quality I wouldnt mind become present in my games. I'd watch that TV show.
I would almost knock Eliza down a notch, simply because in every Sims 4 playthrough I do, no matter where I go, she's always there. No matter what lot, what world, she's there. I just cannot escape this woman. 😆
I have played with the Goths so much especially in the sims 4. I have created my own lore heavily based on the Alexander timetraveler theory. The Goths are chaotic neutral and cursed, and Alex and sometimes Cassie cant help but mess with the timeline to try and fix it or better the family. Sometimes making things really really bad. Because of this I am very attached to Alexander and Morty.
I played with Johnny today and helped him become a famous comedian, so for me he's up in the icons list. Mortimer is the very, very first Sim I ever tried not date, not knowing he was married. So he also goes in the icons list, regrettably.
Bob Pancake is my favourite townie because no matter what kind of people I put together in CAS, it's always Bob Pancakes who manages to befriend them first. It's also weird that not all of them pop up around my lots as often as the others. (Regardless of where the lot is). Like the Goths, Nancy Landgraab, Bob and Eliza, Don Lothario, Travis I meet them all the time. On the other hand I only had like one or two conversations with Zoe Patel, Gavin or J Huntington.
I made the roomies more interesting by having everyone but Zoe work and they bank rolled her first trip abroad to Salvadorada, where she still lives. They work and I just keep extending her stay.
My first playthrough was a rags-to-riches in Oasis Springs. Johnny Zest was the only one who would come around and hang out with my sim, ask for her advice, and cheer her up when she was down (which was a lot, because she had no house, real bed or toilet). He never hit on her or anything, he was just there to be her friend during the hard times I put her through. It was really sweet. Meanwhile, Katrina was rude to my rescue dog and for that she can never be forgiven, so every time I saw her I'd try to beat her up.
Honestly I feel like all of the Kim-Lewis' are one of them families that I always question why they're in the game. They just like mean nothing to me😅😂

JJ Huntington and Paolo Rocca are at the top of almost every save files family tree bc every female sim I make to start a family marries one of them and occasionally Don LOL I don't know why but they make cute sim kids so why not.
Not going to lie, I would rank Summer, Travis, and Liberty all pretty high, because I was very into MySimsKingdom where the girls both had a crush on him. It was always my pleasure to have Travis choose Liberty.

Don has so much "Stay Away from me" energy that MCCC tends to have Katrina move out from her starting home and she ends up with remarrying with Marcus Flex from the Partihaus household. Like, in 2 long term saves that happened! Granted, even the Sims 2 doesn't put Don in a positive light (and he's scripted to pull a Tomato on Cassandra Goth if you play the Goth family and you accept the marriage prompt that initially pops up). Also granted, Travis is also the most "Who?" sim from MySims.
Justice for Geoffrey Landgraab! He's a genuinely nice person. He literally has the "good" trait. I only don't rescue him from his sham of a marriage and have all my sims marry him because he looks a bit too much like my dad and it would get uncomfortable. I do often kill off (or simply delete) Malcolm and Nancy and give Geoffrey someone nice to marry so that the landgraab family continues on, just without the criminal parts of the family tree. (cas.fulleditmode , merge a 1 sim household with Geoffrey's, select "wife" or "husband" from the relationship dropdown menu, "play with genetics" to give them some kids, put the household back into unplayed...never witness Geoffrey in the act of woohoo.)

The only iconic original sims from this game are the Pancakes and Vladdy Daddy, the rest are pretty much 🤷🏻♀️ and the reason is because of the visual story telling that the Pancakes house give us, all the other families that aren’t from older games are your tipical happy boring family. And Vlad is Vlad.
One of the best, funniest story lines I ever did in the Sims was with Johnny Zest. I made him a famous comedian (he died in tier three of the celebrity aspiration, but still was a good run) got him in inumerous fights with Malcom bc at some points they were neighbors and brothers. So yeah, the only thing I would change in tour list would be place Johnny zest in iconic!
Ever since highschool years, Casandra Goth always hits on my female teen Sims. Always. She’s constantly calling them and she always has crushes on them. (Ok that might be slight hyperbole but it’s way too frequent).
I accidentally stumbled upon the Caliente family when Dina became my founder’s wife. I’m now trying to merge that family with another one (where Nina had a thing with that other founder) and… wow, I love the makeovers I’ve given them. Nina’s especially. Also Zoe just vanished in said merged save and I have NO idea why, I’ve barely done any gameplay.

It's so funny how random personal experience affects the lists: for me, Malcolm being evil has meant he is a good match for some of my sims with difficult traits or wayward ambitions because when they are upset or making things a mess, he has happy moodlets for being around misery and can take the lead and clean things up. He is iconic in my own personal Sim lore, so it's totally funny for me to realize he would definitely be just an annoyance to most other players 😁
For me Katrina is the literal definition of the "who" category but that's just because of my personal beef with the Sims 4 canon vs the rest of the Sims canon with the Caliente family 😂
The problem with the Sims 4 is all the characters I think should be iconic (The Goth, the Calientes, the Landgraabs) are so bland in this iteration of the game and see to have no character or life to them. I can can't rank townies in this game for that reason.
Like many people, I find the BFF and Roomies' households quite bland, and I feel like they are nice enough sims because my sims interact positively with them. But I place Zoe and Liberty higher than the others because my first sim Cynthia dated both of them, and each had a kid with Cynthia after I changed their gender settings to be able to make Cynthia pregnant.
I would've done the categories based on your likings for examples: My hero - favorite sim(s) be my friend who? Stay away from me Get in the pond - Most hated sim(s) like Nancy
I dunno why, but every game Moyer ends up being REALLY hated by nearly the entire community of sims. It makes me wonder how deep in the code some hidden traits are. I doubt its that deep and is just dumb luck, but poor Moyer is a social pariah in these parts all the time.
J Huntington has a very special place in my heart, he was married to my sim Dora, they had a cute love story and two daughters. He's old now and living on a separate lot, but I really miss playing with him, even when he set the kitchen on fire every time he tried to make mac and cheese or spaghetti lol
I have found I can easily group townies into two distinct groups, which are either "PLAYED" or "DELETE". After numerous saves, I rarely allow those households I have deleted in the past to become played in a new save. They just take on characteristics that you just cant abide by, even though the townies are pretty two dimensional in game play traits. Sometimes you just hate their face, so to speak. Like you and Summer Holiday. I abhor the Calientes simply because they seem so very low effort on Maxis' part. They look like random generated townies, and I just cant abide that. There are so many good townies from Maxis in the gallery (June Kay and L'amour are also in base game in the gallery without any internet or outsides expansions/updates, BTW) so I like to sort through the gallery of official townies from Maxis, rather than rely on, what I consider to be, largely garbage assortment of townies. The only base townies in my "PLAYED" category are: Liberty Lee, Summer Holiday, Eliza Pancakes, June Kay. (It's a tough call, but the best sim is either Liberty or June, fight me XD) All the male townies stink, with the exception of maybeeee Lewis. The only time Bob Pancakes sticks around in my game is early on in a save before a bad day hits me, and I subsequently torture him to death, in some creative manner or other. That is literally his only value. A punching bag. He deserves Eliza not because she is a sadist, but because his behavior welcomes abuse. What a dum-dum. What I haven't seen yet, is any Simmers going through the Maxis official gallery and rate the all the townies available there. There are so many good options, like the younger Bella Bachelor and Eliza during class of '00. Or the Goths in that format rather than stock base game. There are more official vamps than just the Vitores and Vladdy, with Inna Cents and co. Or how about Sue D. Nym! Now there is a great townie too! Not to mention actual official celebrity sims like Kiernan Shipka, for example. It took me a bit of pouring through, but I have a stable group of townies from just the Maxis ea account to begin each save with. No more having to tolerate the Landgraabs, or Calientes, or Roomies, or Lewis-Spencer-Kim-Marmalade-BlahBlahBlah. Why are those townie options never mentioned in Sim Content Creator videos? I don't get it. FakeGamerGirl came the closest, but she still missed the stuff from the Maxis gallery by only covering the townies from base and expansions. Now that would be a unique video, not yet covered by other Simmers.

Nancy has started dating Geoffrey for his money,
And Eliza and Bob are set to get married a week after the graduation.
So, in a explanation of everything I’ve said,
Eliza is so rude to everyone is because she’s secretly a ✨LESBIAN✨ and she doesn’t want anyone to know, so that’s why she married Bob, because it was the safer option, and she probably fell in love with Bella or Nancy (but for my theory Bella) and they both wanted to be together but because of how things were at the time, marrying the opposite gender was the best choice.
And maybe Eliza promised that she’d tell everyone (especially Bob) about their romance and they would run away together, we’ll low and behold Eliza chickens out and doesn’t do it and tells Bob she’s in love with him and they get married after highschool.
Bella was probably heartbroken by Eliza’s choice, but married Mortimer because she did have feelings for him too, just not as strong and passionate as Bella’s for Eliza. Well fast forward, Bella has children and is loving her life and hasn’t talked to Eliza since graduation day probably 15-20 years and, Bella is happy but still probably wishes she could be with Eliza, but has come to terms with it.
Meanwhile Eliza is bitter, angry, hurt, because she’s not living the life she wants too with Bella.
She’s hurt that Bella chose Mortimer.
She’s hurt that everyone from her highschool friend group is living their best lives while she’s stuck in the closet.
She’s hurt that Bella didn’t choose her even tho Eliza is to blame because she ditched her.
She’s hurt that Bella didn’t say Screw it, I love you and and you love me, who gives a 💩 if we’re together, all that matters is we have each other.
She’s hurt that she can love who she wants to love because her family thought it was wrong and she’s carried that with her.
She’s hurt that she married Bob and pretended to love him when she’s loved someone else this entire time, and that’s why she’s mean to him because she feels guilty for stringing someone innocent along for years.
And she’s so angry that she chose the wrong person to marry, and takes it out on everybody, (mainly Bob, only Bob) because she’s so pressed about her own decisions about her life/sexuality because she can’t admit to anyone let alone say it out loud that she’s a ✨LESBIAN✨ and prefers looking at a photo of Judith Ward and Octavia Moon than Thorne Bailey if you catch my drift.
But ultimately this is just a theory, I’ve always felt bad for Eliza, even tho I can’t stand her it’s kinda sad that I came up with this theory and it possibly isn’t even true.
Anyways, do y’all want to debate theories? I’m open to thoughts on this.

i had a straight couple w triplets and the dad was like emotionally unavailable and had the evil trait and he didnt really connect with his wife but then he became best friends with travis scott and fished with him and then had an affair with him and then the wife died and they got together but then he died and travis helped the now teen triplets through the end of their teenage years so hes kind of a G in my mind

I agree with lilsimsie that the roommates household (travis, summer, and liberty) is bland but I think I know the reason for that.
The roommates household are characters from a side sims game called My Sims (kingdom, agents, and the others), and what I think the Sims Team did was easter egg them into the sims 4, but they didn't do that well in my opinion.
Summer is a cheerleader, a party lover, she is very peppy and bubbly, and likes cute things.
Liberty likes snakes, has bucked-teeth, is a free spirit, likes the outdoors and is bit of a hippie and a geek.
Travis loves to party and have fun, is a good natured spirit and is on his phone a lot.
I hardly see any of these traits in the Sims 4 (liberty is the best one out of the 3 but still needs updating), they need a refresh in my opinion.
I loved them in My Sims kingdom, it was such a cute story with Travis and Liberty 🥺

Later I went back to fight Summer again for fun, and she randomly flirted with Aabria and became her fated mate. I tried to cheat it away, but it wouldn’t work. And then every time Aabria tried to flirt with her wife she felt guilty because her wife wasn’t her fated mate. My whole plan was to make Aabria’s wife her fated mate.
I had spent hours of real time helping my werewolf build enough skills and relationships and then summer ruined it all.

Oh she's my neighbor and my sim is a single Dad...considering that she's attractive, is in the culinary career and is social, I think she would make a good wife.
I had Don Lothario lose the trait of being a roamer, and married him to Travis Scott. Don became a top tier bodybuilder and Travis became a very successful programmer, and they moved to a little house in Sulani ( The one next to the volcano - I've expanded it a fair bit, but it's still small and most of the extra space is used for guests) and adopted a Shiba Inu dog. They sometimes take in homeless townies, who they keep until they've got a career and leveled up, then gift them a bunch of money (because Don and Travis are very rich and don't need it because they live in a little house) and move them out to their own house somewhere.
Personally, Eliza is STAY AWAY FROM ME Once you give her any ounce of attention she won’t go away
Originally Bob was my preferred Pancake, but then I played Dream Home Decorator and he was always rude and critical of my designs while Eliza was much nicer, so now my opinions of them have swapped :P

I have a weird attachment to the BFF household. When I first downloaded seasons I created a sim and moved her into their neighbour. They were the welcome wagon and I lived out my Friends fantasy with the four of them becoming best friends and doing all the fun seasonal activities together. I then had my sim marry Travis and they started a family and now I have a weird attachment to them! 🤣 But I agree fully with Summer being in the stay away from me category!

Johnny Zest is iconic to me personally because yeah hes a disowned landgraab, but also he lives in an old ditsy converted caravan and has dreams of becoming a star and proving his family wrong. I also played with him and gave him a very dramatic relationship with the sad clown. They had their ups and downs but eventually married and had sad clown children in their rundown pink caravan, and that was one of my earliest playthroughs of the sims so hes iconic to me

I always play with Travis Scott. All of my save files, except one, contain his genes. He really can be a good guy if you give him a chance. He is an excellent father/grandfather. I am currently playing a file that has his son in it (about to be an elder).
If you want to get the Rocket Scientist Achievement, he is your man. He makes it easy (as long as he LIKES FITNESS). And the Space Ranger uniform looks pretty damned nice on him 👍

Summer holiday has always been a part of my sims lives all the time, I see her everywhere and my sims always meet her I think she’s a cool townie but she is rude when it comes to relationships
I sometimes forget that Stanley is not a townie, hence my immense but brief confusion at how you could possibly have excluded him.
Don Lothario is a lot of things, and he always inevitably ends up in my sims' lives in some way, shape or form, but I've never played a save where he hasn't at least tried to be a good father, actually 😂
If I end up moving him into the household/marrying him to torture me and my sim (and him, too, because we all deserve it), he cares for the kid more than any other sim around (even the mom). Everytime I use him for the baby challenge, he visits very often. It's not what I expected from him at all 😂
Summer Holiday is actually my favorite townie and I’ve redesigned her several times over the years. She’s always been the easiest townie to flirt with and she always looks so happy. I love her.
Editing to add: Recent-ish, I remade her again and also made her parents. She has two moms, one is NB, and they are so cute interacting with each other.
I actually don’t really care much about Travis or Liberty, but they’re important to Summer so I intend to make their families too.
I'd put put Liberty Lee in stay away because she was OBSESSED with one of my sims. We spoke to her once and Liberty kept blowing up the phone day in and out inviting us to everything, showing up at the house, trying to chat etc until I deleted her so now I pretend that we got a restraining order against her lmao.

Bff is my favorite household. Summer transitions into Sam. A trans man himbo. So then it's like OHHH Sam wanted to BE travis not date travis. Then liberty chooses between two men. Much more intriguing story.
Definitely does sound much more intriguing. I've not ever gone to such extreme lengths, and Im not sure I could endure seeing Summer in such a way (first sim love affair and all that emotional jazz), but it has an engaging plot line quality I wouldnt mind become present in my games. I'd watch that TV show.
I would almost knock Eliza down a notch, simply because in every Sims 4 playthrough I do, no matter where I go, she's always there. No matter what lot, what world, she's there. I just cannot escape this woman. 😆
I have played with the Goths so much especially in the sims 4. I have created my own lore heavily based on the Alexander timetraveler theory.
The Goths are chaotic neutral and cursed, and Alex and sometimes Cassie cant help but mess with the timeline to try and fix it or better the family. Sometimes making things really really bad. Because of this I am very attached to Alexander and Morty.
I played with Johnny today and helped him become a famous comedian, so for me he's up in the icons list. Mortimer is the very, very first Sim I ever tried not date, not knowing he was married. So he also goes in the icons list, regrettably.
Bob Pancake is my favourite townie because no matter what kind of people I put together in CAS, it's always Bob Pancakes who manages to befriend them first. It's also weird that not all of them pop up around my lots as often as the others. (Regardless of where the lot is). Like the Goths, Nancy Landgraab, Bob and Eliza, Don Lothario, Travis I meet them all the time. On the other hand I only had like one or two conversations with Zoe Patel, Gavin or J Huntington.
I made the roomies more interesting by having everyone but Zoe work and they bank rolled her first trip abroad to Salvadorada, where she still lives. They work and I just keep extending her stay.
My first playthrough was a rags-to-riches in Oasis Springs. Johnny Zest was the only one who would come around and hang out with my sim, ask for her advice, and cheer her up when she was down (which was a lot, because she had no house, real bed or toilet). He never hit on her or anything, he was just there to be her friend during the hard times I put her through. It was really sweet. Meanwhile, Katrina was rude to my rescue dog and for that she can never be forgiven, so every time I saw her I'd try to beat her up.
This reminded me about how bland Olivia Kim-Lewis actually is... and same with Alexander...
Honestly I feel like all of the Kim-Lewis' are one of them families that I always question why they're in the game. They just like mean nothing to me😅😂

JJ Huntington and Paolo Rocca are at the top of almost every save files family tree bc every female sim I make to start a family marries one of them and occasionally Don LOL I don't know why but they make cute sim kids so why not.
Not going to lie, I would rank Summer, Travis, and Liberty all pretty high, because I was very into MySimsKingdom where the girls both had a crush on him. It was always my pleasure to have Travis choose Liberty.
Liberty really is the hidden gem. Summer has obvious good looks, but Liberty is where the substance lies.

Don has so much "Stay Away from me" energy that MCCC tends to have Katrina move out from her starting home and she ends up with remarrying with Marcus Flex from the Partihaus household. Like, in 2 long term saves that happened! Granted, even the Sims 2 doesn't put Don in a positive light (and he's scripted to pull a Tomato on Cassandra Goth if you play the Goth family and you accept the marriage prompt that initially pops up). Also granted, Travis is also the most "Who?" sim from MySims.
I do have a soft spot for Summer Holiday because she was the first townie I ever romanced, but she does have some uncanny valley vibes ngl

Justice for Geoffrey Landgraab! He's a genuinely nice person. He literally has the "good" trait. I only don't rescue him from his sham of a marriage and have all my sims marry him because he looks a bit too much like my dad and it would get uncomfortable. I do often kill off (or simply delete) Malcolm and Nancy and give Geoffrey someone nice to marry so that the landgraab family continues on, just without the criminal parts of the family tree. (cas.fulleditmode , merge a 1 sim household with Geoffrey's, select "wife" or "husband" from the relationship dropdown menu, "play with genetics" to give them some kids, put the household back into unplayed...never witness Geoffrey in the act of woohoo.)
I completely agree about Summer Holiday, there's just something that's very stay away from me. Funny you said about getting with Alice Kim-Lewis, I'm always the other way around! I usually get Sims with Eric
I agree with your iconic tier. The only iconic original sims from this game are the Pancakes and Vladdy Daddy, the rest are pretty much 🤷🏻♀️ and the reason is because of the visual story telling that the Pancakes house give us, all the other families that aren’t from older games are your tipical happy boring family. And Vlad is Vlad.
One of the best, funniest story lines I ever did in the Sims was with Johnny Zest. I made him a famous comedian (he died in tier three of the celebrity aspiration, but still was a good run) got him in inumerous fights with Malcom bc at some points they were neighbors and brothers. So yeah, the only thing I would change in tour list would be place Johnny zest in iconic!

I accidentally stumbled upon the Caliente family when Dina became my founder’s wife. I’m now trying to merge that family with another one (where Nina had a thing with that other founder) and… wow, I love the makeovers I’ve given them. Nina’s especially.
Also Zoe just vanished in said merged save and I have NO idea why, I’ve barely done any gameplay.

It's so funny how random personal experience affects the lists: for me, Malcolm being evil has meant he is a good match for some of my sims with difficult traits or wayward ambitions because when they are upset or making things a mess, he has happy moodlets for being around misery and can take the lead and clean things up. He is iconic in my own personal Sim lore, so it's totally funny for me to realize he would definitely be just an annoyance to most other players 😁

The problem with the Sims 4 is all the characters I think should be iconic (The Goth, the Calientes, the Landgraabs) are so bland in this iteration of the game and see to have no character or life to them. I can can't rank townies in this game for that reason.

Like many people, I find the BFF and Roomies' households quite bland, and I feel like they are nice enough sims because my sims interact positively with them. But I place Zoe and Liberty higher than the others because my first sim Cynthia dated both of them, and each had a kid with Cynthia after I changed their gender settings to be able to make Cynthia pregnant.

The pain of my man Mortimer being in "nice enough" is too much. He was the first sim I ever played back in The Sims 1 - an absolute legend.
Once again, Alex Moyer flies under the radar...
I dunno why, but every game Moyer ends up being REALLY hated by nearly the entire community of sims. It makes me wonder how deep in the code some hidden traits are. I doubt its that deep and is just dumb luck, but poor Moyer is a social pariah in these parts all the time.

J Huntington has a very special place in my heart, he was married to my sim Dora, they had a cute love story and two daughters. He's old now and living on a separate lot, but I really miss playing with him, even when he set the kitchen on fire every time he tried to make mac and cheese or spaghetti lol

I have found I can easily group townies into two distinct groups, which are either "PLAYED" or "DELETE".
After numerous saves, I rarely allow those households I have deleted in the past to become played in a new save. They just take on characteristics that you just cant abide by, even though the townies are pretty two dimensional in game play traits. Sometimes you just hate their face, so to speak. Like you and Summer Holiday.
I abhor the Calientes simply because they seem so very low effort on Maxis' part. They look like random generated townies, and I just cant abide that. There are so many good townies from Maxis in the gallery (June Kay and L'amour are also in base game in the gallery without any internet or outsides expansions/updates, BTW) so I like to sort through the gallery of official townies from Maxis, rather than rely on, what I consider to be, largely garbage assortment of townies.
The only base townies in my "PLAYED" category are: Liberty Lee, Summer Holiday, Eliza Pancakes, June Kay. (It's a tough call, but the best sim is either Liberty or June, fight me XD) All the male townies stink, with the exception of maybeeee Lewis. The only time Bob Pancakes sticks around in my game is early on in a save before a bad day hits me, and I subsequently torture him to death, in some creative manner or other. That is literally his only value. A punching bag. He deserves Eliza not because she is a sadist, but because his behavior welcomes abuse. What a dum-dum.
What I haven't seen yet, is any Simmers going through the Maxis official gallery and rate the all the townies available there. There are so many good options, like the younger Bella Bachelor and Eliza during class of '00. Or the Goths in that format rather than stock base game. There are more official vamps than just the Vitores and Vladdy, with Inna Cents and co. Or how about Sue D. Nym! Now there is a great townie too! Not to mention actual official celebrity sims like Kiernan Shipka, for example.
It took me a bit of pouring through, but I have a stable group of townies from just the Maxis ea account to begin each save with. No more having to tolerate the Landgraabs, or Calientes, or Roomies, or Lewis-Spencer-Kim-Marmalade-BlahBlahBlah.
Why are those townie options never mentioned in Sim Content Creator videos? I don't get it. FakeGamerGirl came the closest, but she still missed the stuff from the Maxis gallery by only covering the townies from base and expansions. Now that would be a unique video, not yet covered by other Simmers.
