generation four was the generation I didn’t play when it came out because I didn’t have a 3DS at the time. I didn’t play generation four until generation five. The game I played was platinum, however I do remember playing a little bit of Diamond and pearl with friends.

Given that I was a stupid kid when first playing diamond, I'm looking forward to using an Empoleon that has more coverage than just 4 water type attacks.
The only exception was hypet beam, cool move
In terms of getting more evo stones, The Grand Underground will probably let you get more Dawn Stones
One will hope so, cause if Cynthia still gives you Togepi as an egg it'll be needed

Actually there's one hidden in the bog in Platinum right as you enter the route next to Pastoria City. That's how I got mine
My little sister definitely wants to start with piplup. But she also plans to keep it as a piplup and not evolve it bc she thinks empoleon is both ugly and scary looking. 😂 (she’s 8 btw, so be nice about her decision)
Hey, I'm mid-20s. I didn't evolve my Grooky, because he was so cute. Let her do her thing. It's makes a fun experience.

Accessing the pc everywhere makes these games so much more competitive,i can just send any mon to the pc whos reached my lvl cap that i have set for myself.
Over leveling makes the game easy,its so easy to actually make the gyms/pokemon league really hard now since swsh and now bdsp

Rampardos, while it’s a glass cannon, and meant for experienced people in Pokémon, I used it at my most basic knowledge of Pokémon. I thought it was just a really cool Pokémon. And BOY does it live up to that Godzilla attack stat.
Honchkrow, I have yet to use The Godfather in a Pokémon game. I look forward to using that one too. ^_^
Gallade is a fantastically diverse Pokémon!! I used one in Platinum, and I hope it’s gonna be great in the remakes too. Psycho Cut, Leaf Blade, Drain Punch, good to go!! ^_^
Luxray I surprisingly never used before, all because of how it lacks physical attacks to go with that very good attack stat. Nowadays it’s got some decent moves over the years.
Froslass, like Rampardos, is a glass cannon. Except the differences are it’s fast, and has a great special stat. I look forward to see what team you end up using. ^_^
Me and my wife will be playing through BDSP together. I'll be playing pearl and she will be playing diamond, and I will be using piplup, ill be interested to see who she chooses bc this will be her first time playing gen 4.
I already have Gallade, Empeleon, and Luxray on my Platinum team and I’m planning on getting Froslass too, I find it funny how similar my team already is to this one. I also have Rapidash and Roserade on my team for that grass and fire type.
I was thinking of using them in Brilliant Diamond too.

Piplup/empolean have always been underrated imo
Typing wise it is actually great, because water is really useful in sinnoh and with fairy type the steel types gets a bonus if you dont use poison

And comparing to some other gens all 3 are underrated
No hate but piplup is definitely not the face of sinnoh it’s definitely chimchar and turtwig close behind

Empoleon has always been my favorite mon out of any gen. Now that I know more about competitive play and newer mechanics, I'm definitely exited to bring out its full power.
Your team looks good. Sadly, I will not be choosing Piplup as my starter for Brilliant Diamond or Shining Pearl. It took me a while to decide, but I'm gonna use Turtwig for Shining Pearl and Chimchar for Brilliant Diamond. However, I did come up with what my team would consist of if I did go with Piplup, which can be seen below. I intend to give each starter an Ability Patch so that I can run them with their hidden ability, even if that means waiting until the post-game. Until then, they'll have their standard ability. For a few team members, I'm uncertain with what nickname I want to give them. Their move sets would have depended on I could teach them those moves via TMs, level-up moves, or Move Tutors. For the last team member, I intended to either try to catch it with its hidden ability in the Hideaways or give it an Ability Patch.
1) Leopold the male Empoleon(Water/Steel)
-ability=Defiant
-nature=Quiet, Sassy, Relaxed, or Brave
-Scald, Flash Cannon, Ice Beam, and Drill Peck/Earthquake/Brick Break/Shadow Claw/Rock Slide/Signal Beam/Knock Off/Throat Chop/Aqua Jet

In a playthrough of Platinum, I used a team consisting of Empoleon, Leafeon, Houndoom, Rotom(regular), Gallade, and either Staraptor or Togekiss as my Flying type.
Awesome team. I can’t wait to see how the other teams stack up, and when that happens, may the best team you made win.

To get another dawn stone I think we're gonna have the mining mechanic back like the original pokemon diamond/pearl so you will be able to get like other evo stones from it.

I love the Empoleon line, largely because diamond was my first Pokémon game and Piplup was my first Pokémon
Piplup was my fav from the start I chose him in the og and my team had two other clefairys
I’m excited for how good Pokemon Legend: Arceus would be with some of those Pokemon new form, storie and also gameplay.
With this team there’s a good diversity in types and they all have a big move pool from leveling up to TMs and seeing the move tutor which can give you some advantage in battles

Piplup, in my opinion, is the BEST starter of BDSP. I shall explain. If you evolve Piplup all the way to Empoleon, the moves: Surf, Drill Peck, Ice Beam and Flash Cannon - you can easily take out most of the Elite Four and most of Cynthia's team with just Empoleon ALONE.
If Empoleon is backed up by five other formidable Pokémon, getting through the Elite Four and Champion is a breeze.

Sooo this is possibly really weird but im just gonna tell my story.
Last i had a conversation about the three compound excersises in the gym. Benchpress, Deadlift and Squatting. And i started comparing it to the three starter pokemons. Soo benchpressing is chimchar, squating is piplup and deadifting is turtwig. Because moet love benching en also squating but most hate deadlifting. Does anyone relate to this
I need some advice currently I’m having an issue choosing my sixth Pokémon I’m between magnezone, weavile, or abomasnow, I currently have:
Empoleon, roserade, Staraptor, medicham, and hippowdon
8 year old me's pearl team - Infernape Staraptor Luxray Garchomp floatzel Roserade
23 year old me's Brilliant Diamond team - Empoleon Roserade Houndoom Electivire Gallade Gliscor
I’m using infernape, staraptor,gyarados, roserade, garchomp and either weavile or electivire .Most likely weavile though because of Cynthia having garchomp.
My team be strong Charizard and Lucario and Greninja (Battle Bond) and Infernape and Urshifu (Single Strike) and Sceptile easy my strongest team
I’ve seen videos of people beating the diamond using almost only rampardos. Of course the guy used a few other Pokémon but if you get rock polish on rampardos and can get a few rock polish off you can wipe any one. He one shotted all of cynthia’s Pokémon besides garchomp and even then garchomp went into the red
I can’t wait to get both games. I usually do Pokédex completions in one version and a nuzlocke in the other
