I also watched your review on the Harbor Freight engine support and seen that you removed your transmission in your garage on jackstands? I seriously doubt I could even get that far. I dropped it out the bottom. I used an engine support bar, removed the cradle, and then pulled all of the fasteners to get the transmission free and slid it to the right and down on a sturdy stand. All of this was using a lift. Not much help, but hope it helps. G.
Almost finished with a rebuild of a u241e in a 2010 rav4. Your video was awesome, thanks for all the details. Ps also got my parts from wit. And hard parts that we defective came from buffalo engine components. Todd
Nice video quality. Are the 2 accumulators where one would put washers to make the shifts stiffer? Also, do these trans have a dial that changes the line pressure? I've recently turbod a car with the same trans, and it's banging off the rev limiter when shifting.

So if I added the extra ball, with no hole in my plate, will that be an issue. I have the means to take it back apart to do so before I finish my assembly. I'm stuck on the darn steel plates for 1st/rev clutches...They don't wanna go into the case all the way back. Will have to play around with that.
If there wasn't one there to begin with, I would say take it out. I'm no pro, but that's what I would do. I really don't know what to say about the steels and frictions. I just know what I did for this one was what was shown. Not help, but hope it goes well for you, G.
