I’m just glad it went to someone who appreciates it. There’s nothing better then when someone digs a knife. And seriously don’t worry about sending me anything. Seeing how excited you are is worth it.
That is what our badass community is all about 🤘🤘. Steve is one of the coolest guys out there. And like he mentioned above it went to the right people. Hope it serves y’all well
I didn't know this model existed until today. I knew about the frn models...but yes bro. I'm all about natural handle materials. Iron wood is awesome. 😎👊
I still have a NIB 882. Along with another 882 that I bought to replace the one I'd lost that was my daily carry for a few years. I'd never known that Buck did an Ironwood version or I'd have one of those as well. I had a couple of the 889 420c black blade models, but sold them to friends. My favorite of the Strider collabs was the 888. It's a fixed blade and a freaking chonk of ATS34. My carry 889 is currently set up for left hand. I took the blade out recently, cleaned up the washers, gave it a little of the Lucas Extreme and it's so smooth now.
Most of the Ironwood models I'm finding are stamped Buck Custon Shop on the blade. And the few 2014's I can find have a black box instead of the yellow. This may be a parts knife which is absolutely cool too. I can't find an Ironwood model that isn't serialized or in a LE box. Who knows? I live it though. That 888 is an awesome fixed blade. The 881 is a pretty cool folder too! I wish I had been paying attention to buck back then. Would've been cool to pick up a few of these variants like you did. Congrats bro. Thanks for watching
Man, that is a beautiful knife! If you put the other blade in, you should do a disassmely video. I would love to see how this is constructed. Also. want to see if you can get it without Courtney's help. 🤣
2nd hand market is really the only place to get them anymore. Ebay, knafsale, ect. They no longer collaborate together so there are no new models being made.

Meet three

that should be a little bit of a collectable no doubt
I hand polished the blade, put an edge on it and it'll likely hang out in the house.
@@apex_alchemy_knives that pretty awesome I like it like it better than that EF strider clone no doubt

I'm not gonna lie dude, I was kinda relieved that she jumped at the challenge of getting it out together before I got home.
@@apex_alchemy_knives I am always nervous about disassemling anything with hidden screws. It looks good but there is a price to pay.

Very cool! Love the wood scales. Do you know if they’re stabilized?
