- Playing Forza Horizon 5 for the first time with my new Logitech G920 wheel and Driving Force Shifter on the Xbox series X. The new G923 wheel is out, so prices are dropping on the older G920 and g29. For around $300 this makes for a great deal on a driving simulator rig. Playing Forza Horizon 5 as a driving sim instead of using the controller is a bit of a challenge, but it didn't take too much to adapt.
I like this vid cause you didn’t make it seem like everything was sunshine and rainbows, you showed when you struggled as well and didn’t cut those parts out. I just got a wheel a couple days ago and it‘s very difficult but I’m determined to improve! 😃
I turned traction control and stability control on and left steering at normal and it seems to be pretty good.
Can’t be too different than driving

@@keke6894 do you remember what kind of wheel you had to use? Or recommend one? Was thinking about getting the Thrustmaster T48 since everyone's saying that the logitech “true driving” or whatever its called feels very gimmicky and doesn't provide any other connection to the road other than vibration
@@fwix771 I use Playseat Evolution Pro Sim Racing Cockpit I got it off Amazon for like 400 something it come with the whole set up but remember when you buy cheap products you get that cheap feeling if that makes since but yeah I know guys who just paid 300 in could have got the whole set that come with the seat in all for only 400 let me know if you need help finding they sale out pretty quick now
The trick is to stop accelerating when you are trying to correct especially when in the dirt. It’s all about throttle control and you can lay down back on the gas after you line yourself up

@@victordeleon8412 yah wheel is tough haha ur fight against 2 things that are pretty much muscle memory at that point which is real driving and using a controller

How did you got it to work i just bought one today and my series x doesnt recognize the wheels it only let me used on the xbox dash board but in the game doesnt i tried everything but it doesnt work

being honest,
i just bought the g923 (same stuff as g920 no big deal)
this wheel sucks for arcade games unless you turn on the assistance on traction, steering etc, much more enjoyable with those options turned on.
Now where this wheel shines and feels great is in simulation games, Asseto Corsa feels really good, Gran turismo 7 as well.
arcade games are meant to be like that arcade, not to pretend to be simulators,
i would recommend anyone who wants to purchase a wheel, at least have 1 simulator on your list to enjoy this wheel as its bests.
when you spin out in the dirt (this applies mostly to offroad vehices) try to compensate with the steering wheel, downshift, and step on the throttle
It’s not that hard on a wheel like jees the whole video is just you grunting
My shifter doesn't work on Xbox for some reason
i want a Logitech steering wheel because i just ordered an xbox x today and i don't know how to drive stick shift yet. i know it won't be the exact feeling compared to real life but at least i'd be able to practice😂

Hello friend notice that I am having a problem with the logitech g920 when I connect it to the xbox one x the sound is distorted and makes the game slow and only happens when I connect the logitech that you think it may be? Days before I played super well now I can no longer use them because of that problem

Notice the instant difference in his driving when he switched to inside view..... inside view allow you to see where your car is pointing vs the outside view
Yes. I feel its way easier to drive from the cocpit view but I think its more entertaining for the audience to watch the birds eye view

You can use the wheel with the controller on or off. I find it easier to build the cars with the controller

Did you go into the game settings and change it from automatic to manual?
Can you use the paddle shifters like the stick shifter? I did not buy the stick shifter, I cannot afford it at the moment. I was just gonna see if the paddle shifters worked good or not. Many people said that stick shifter needed some modification to feel and work properly.
The paddle shifter works well and has a satisfying click to them. The stick shifter works ok for me. It has a very light cheap feel to the shifts but its better than nothing and gets you driving true manual which is what I wanted
@@victordeleon8412 I was gonna buy it. You can upgrade the pedals and the shifter from what i was seeing. Make them both stiffer. You can use hair ties on the inside of the shifter, and this guy makes this 3d printed cover. Idk. Will I be happy with the pedals and wheel?
@@Mishakol1290 for what it is and the price its pretty good. I've used top of the line fanatec systems and they're only a little better considering how much more they cost. Have a good secured place to mount the wheel, pedals and chair are the most important

Yeah when I’m just playing for fun I always drive in cockpit view. But for these videos the audience likes to see the cars so I drive in 3rd person

Same here, my steering wheel won’t work in game but works in the Xbox home. Were you able to figure out how to fix it?
@@michaelcox6709 to be honest im not sure what the fix was , i had the shifter upside down lol but everything works fine on the xbox SX now
