@@bradstrong5362 good question. A water miser system could be installed. Rockwoods and Flagstaffs come with it installed. It recirculates the water back to the holding tank until it is hot. That would be ideal for any camping. We don’t have a water miser but we do appreciate that full time RVing with 2 adults and a dog, we cook and shower daily and we go through about 20 pounds of propane per month while enjoying long showers. Good luck friend.
Great video, so my wife and I are new to RV life. My question is can your water filter reduce to water flow enough to cause your tankless water heater not to work?
Great question. Yes if it is clogged or under sized. I used this filter a.co/d/b3E9vne with this cartridge a.co/d/07Y08Tj . This flows more water than I could ever use. The cartridge is a combination woven cartridge for sediment and it has a miniature water softener in the middle. The resin in the softener reduces hardness (calcium) as well as iron. Removing these contaminants is highly beneficial for preventing scale in your water heater. I replace the woven part of the cartridge every 6 months and I regenerate the softener portion with table salt every 2-4 weeks. I cut notches in a Lowes bucket and place the filter inside by the water supply. The bucket doubles as hose storage and keeps it neat. And that is a preview to a future video that I plan to make. Merry Christmas and thank you for watching!
I’ve been selling residential models for many years. I’m no smarter than anyone, just have a little experience. They work great if you use them right. Thank you for watching.

I have a similar problem as well for the comments earlier. I set it on 103 or 4° and as it flows it continues to rise up to 120 which is too hot shower. I’m not running any cold water I’ve tried to open a second warm water faucet to increase the flow, but then it shuts off don’t like the tankless heater. Going to attempt to descale hope that works.
I have had this in Florida because the incoming water was already warm. If that isn’t your case, i believe there is also a throttling valve behind the water heater. If it isn’t fully opened, it could be your problem.
@@MitchellOutfitters the valve appears to be open. I’m in Texas so it’s hot water. I’m gonna tip descale it with some vinegar. Hopefully that work and valve won’t turn . Works very when it below 60 outside
what if my shower and bath sink works fine but my kitchen sink wont get an output over 95 (set to 115-20) all icons light up, kitchen sink faucet is all the way on hot
Great question! I can suggest some things to check. First, it seems that your kitchen faucet might be restricting water. Is there a flow restrictor in the aerator? If so, try removing it. Second, there might be screens in the water supply tube to the faucet. They might have debris partly blocking them. Another thing is that some newer kitchen faucets, especially those with flexible necks, restrict flow. There could be a clogged screen at any of the hose connections. The faucet might have to be replaced with one that delivers more water. Last, there could be a kink in the hot water piping to the kitchen faucet. I hope that helps. Based on the fact that you have hot water in the shower and bath sink, it seems that your water heater is working well. Let us know what you find so others can benefit.
@ well it’s a normal hard neck faucet. Kitchen sink got hot normally the first time the trailer was used, now (second time ever) no consistent hot water… this sink has only ever had a total of 30-40 min of use so far. Trailer came off the lot in Nov
@ i just read a comment today on a Surveyor Owners group of someone who, on there second trip out had water flow issues. They found pex tubing shavings inside the aerator. It is common for debris to get into the lines during construction and it will wash down to the first screen or aerator. I hope you find the restriction.
I have the same unit. I dont like very hot showers. I set the set temp to 95 and only open the hot water. Temp will not stay below 108 on the display. I hate it
Ive read that there is a valve in the heater that can be adjusted. In winter when incoming water is very cold, it can be closed slightly to give more contact time. Im not sure but in summer, it mights be possible to open it to provide cooler water. In July,?we were in Florida and the water coming into the camper was near 80 degrees and while we have adjusted our set point down to 111, the temperature was close to 120 at times. Overall, we are still very happy with ours snd now that we are further north, the heater always provides 111 degree water.
@@MitchellOutfitters we are in florida and i am aware of the valve you are talking about. Due to its location i havent had time to get to it to check to confirm it is fully open. I am hoping that will correct the issue as i have to take cold showers as its too hot for me. I have tried to introduce cold water but as you showed it slows the flow down too much and shuts the heater off. My camper was purchased new earlier the year from camping world so i may have to take it in for warranty

Hi. Sorry to hear of the problem you had with your heat exchanger. While I’ve seen this in residential models, its typically on a unit that has been in service for many years or which isn’t well maintained, especially if used with hard water. Im surprised they don’t just replace the whole thing as it would probably be easier than replacing just the heat exchanger. Good luck with it and let us know how it goes.
