The “knife rocker” (as we call it) is excellent for individuals with fine motor challenges, arthritis, or have other conditions that make holding the traditional knife difficult to do safely - it’s a real game changer for some people!
Ok I need to defend the popcorn thing. You didn’t add salt or flavoring to it. My Aunt has one she uses all the time. And you had WAY too big of a flame. Literally I watched Molly light it in a few spots. Get one flame add the corn and a bit of salt into the container and turn the thing FAST. It should literally take less than 2 minutes time. Between the way to many flames, and no salt added and turning it SUPER SLOW. It why it failed.
@@GhostOfTheWatcher It wasn't the fuel, but rather that the wicks were too long. Having the wicks that long means that more fuel is evaporated than can be burned, so you get a really tall flame and a lot of soot
4:53 - The way Ro just went instant "PROTECTIVE BIG SISTER" mode to make sure Mo doesn't cut herself. And even smacking the back of her hand with the spoon. 😅 Their sisterly relation is definitely marked as one of many sibling goals.
Two things: Rosanna, your outfit in this is SO cute - that yellow is beautiful on you. It is my favorite color! Also second thing: this video gave me anxiety in the entertaining way which is better than the kind that's not very entertaining, if you feel me. I welcome it! Was literally just binging some old videos of yours since yesterday. Michigan is in a heatwave that even the pool feels too hot to be in so I am stuck indoors. Sorry for the novel 🫠❤️

The cast iron waffle pan seems fine. It's basically no different from any other, except that it comes apart. As with any piece of equipment, first use is never going to be right. For the comment that said you NEED to use pot holders to use it...what did he expect? It's cast iron, it gets HOT...ALL of it! Agree though that the handles are a bit too short, but if you look, it's not much less that a regular cast iron pan or skillet...
This might be your best gadget testing video! Your reactions to everything was amazing! I've seen that popcorn machine before, it's crazy how it works!
So glad you enjoyed it! I had so much fun. This video has the longest average watch time of any video I've ever uploaded so far, it's crazy! Overall I've been having a lot more fun on the channel, so happy people are enjoying it!
Hey Ro and Mo! The second I saw ur video was posted, I came to watch! Love u and ur videos! ☺️ 5:00 the fact ro slapped Molly! 🤣🤣🤣 15:42 “look how cute she is, she makes cobbler” ro ur too funny! 🤣🤣
I have feeling that with that popcorn maker, there was an oil residue on the outer metal left over from the manufacturig process that hasn't been washed off properly. That's the only reason I can think of that would leave it THAT sooty, which of course would transfer onto the popcorn one the bag was over it....
I think they used the wrong kind of burner or fuel. If you use a candle it will leave soot from the carbon created from the burning wax. They should have used something like a butane heater or denatured alcohol.
You just made my day 100x better, I’m going on a roadtrip today and the first thing I’m going to do is watch your videos!! Thank you for always taking the to make videos for us!! My partner was a cook for years and his friend told him about those Alaskan knives. We just got back from an Alaskan cruise and of course had to get one! They are one of the coolest, useful kitchen knives I never heard of until recently. If you’re an avid cook/chef they are a great option! (Edited grammar)
I'm not sure why they are being called Alaskan knives, they are ulu's traditionally used by Inuit, Yupik ,and inũpiay in the north in Canada and in the states (Alaska). But I love that it's being seen!!!
@@stephanier1848 I have only heard them referred to as Alaskan knives since I’ve known about them. I’m going to make a conscious effort to call them by their actual name
re Mandolin - As an ER doctor, I have treated a number of people that have lost finger tips using a mandolin. Always because they didn't use the safety device included. When used properly, a mandolin is a great kitchen tool (I use one myself), but as noted, those blades ARE SHARP! Note that is you cut off the tip of a finger, ir cannot be reattached, and you have to wait for new skin to grow over the cut part....sorry.
As someone who have sliced a piece of their finger off using a mandolin... Molly, you made me so nervous. The mandolin and that veggie peeler had me on edge.
Ulus are intended to be extremely sharp. i had one for a while and it sliced through a frozen salmon like a hot knife through butter. They're not any more dangerous than a nice high-quality chef's knife, though.
I’ve got a bigger “personal fireplace” I got last year, for 2 reasons. Ambience AND to make SMores with my girls when they visited. I used 91% alcohol in it. It not only worked for those 2 things, but last winter when I lost power one night and it was about 5° F outside? It definitely raised the temperature in my bedroom so me and Dr Kitty Leela didn’t freeze! (Caution) I put it on the floor, because heat rises and I have 12ft ceilings..I didn’t sleep all night because I was afraid Leela might get too close….BUT, unlike some neighbors, we didn’t have to go to a hotel AND I was even able to set it up like a portable stove and I made tea and oatmeal the next morning! $40 on sale, well spent!
the alaskan knife actually reminded me of an italian one I remember seeing in florence! the nonna at the trattoria we went to had one just like the one y'all used that she said was her "quarto di luna" since it was so much smaller than a mezzaluna!
Our family has 2 different styles of cast iron waffle maker and they make the best waffles of any we've ever used. It took a bit to build up the seasoning and we do have to add extra oil to the batter for an easy release, but not a big deal. It seems like it gets hotter than electric ones so you get a really nice crispy exterior. But really, the best part is that we can take it camping and have waffles over a campfire. Pop some fresh berries you picked into the holes and it's really special.
Those clippy things look like the handles for a set of pots i have and they are removeable. But those lock. And have silicone around the metal parts that doesnt melt while the pot is on the stove.
My mom had a mandoline when I was a child and I remember her saying she had to drive herself to the ER after slicing the tips of her pointer finger and thumb CLEAN OFF!!!! She definitely “learned the hard way” and now swears about the safety mechanism and cut-resistant gloves. Now dating a chef, he will preach that mandolines are, indeed, the MOST DANGEROUS TOOL in the kitchen!
Just watched a couple of your old videos and was wondering if you could do a remake of a couple of them like the pizza challenge were you and Molly had to draw a number to pick your next topping. But id like to see you both choose different cheeses and sauces. What do you think Rosanna?
That meat tenderiser is very close to what you see in a lot of factories, granted they often use thin blades rather than nails. It's to make low quality meat or meat that normally shouldn't be tender in to perceived high quality meat.
