    The scallion knife is for making decorative items. The reason that the spike stops the blades going further is to create a scallion with a frond like tail. It's definitely not intended for cutting the hollow green ends of the scallion.

      You are correct, there would be shards of glass that fall in. And to the person who said you’d see the shards, some yes, but there would be microscopic shards of glass that you can’t see w the naked eye. In medicine, there’s glass vials containing a drug and you snap the glass to access the drug. They also have devices that filter out shards of glass, so yes glass would be in the drink. Microscopic shards can cause micro tears in the gi system.

    For anyone else curious about the butter sticks, here’s the Food Network’s explanation!
    “To understand why East Coast and West Coast butter sticks come in different sizes, we’ll need a quick history lesson. ‘The machines used to first process and pack butter were purchased in the 1920’s and 1930’s. At that time, the East Coast dominated dairy production. While the West Coast had butter cooperatives, the industry wasn’t at the caliber it is today,’ Totah explains. ‘They began ramping up production in the 1960s and by 1975, California was the second leading dairy production in the country. By that time, the original Elgin machines used for processing and packing the longer, skinnier sticks of butter were no longer available. They instead purchased new machinery that cut the sticks into shorter, fatter sticks.’”

    • @relo999
      @relo999 6 днів тому

      @@summere.6225 It's only intended for champagne, this is due to the pressure in the bottle which is missing in normal wines (unless it happens by accident in home made/small batch wines).
      It's a bad case of "it's intended for business', not regular consumers (unless they're really fancy alcoholics)", with regular consumers you'd probably be able to rent one from some fancy drink place or even just lend one if you order a fancy bottle.

    Regarding the butter, here in Oregon, it's about 50/50 skinny or fat sticks.
    As for the cheese grater, I have one of those that I use constantly. My only thought for the review is that some of them can be set up for right or left-handed use, and if they had it set up wrong, they may have been trying to use it backwards. Cleaning is really easy, just remove the blade and put the pieces in the dishwasher or hand-wash with a bottle brush.

    10:41. We actually have similar removable handles in my home. But it's for a very specific set of pots and pans and it's more like screwing on a bolt. Works well for when we have left overs or don't want the pot to fill to much once on the dinner table. Though again the pot is specifically made for it. It's not a clip on thing.

    Okay so the handle for the pan is specifically for hot stuff like if the handle of the pan is too hot you use attachment and can move around the pan easily... For safety purposes it is written no using over high flame but after the flame is turned off you can use it without the handle being too hot to hold on to ..
    I have used this is attachment and helps me out alot. And saves me from getting burnt.
    It also sticks on the any pan which doesn't have a handle or if the handle gets too hot to hold

    This was a fun video! I wanted to add that not all the 'free product' reviews are fake. Most of the time the people do have to pay taxes for those products and they are not in contact with those manufacturers or sellers at all. Some people take it seriously as there is no penalty for leaving good or bad reviews. There are some people that are lazy and don't actually review the product. On the other hand, if a person spends money, they are more likely to give a product that has a small flaw a 1 star review because they are upset. Same with restaurants. Person could have a lot of good experiences and not post but one late item and suddenly a negative review. That being said, I value honest reviews and the people who take time to do them. Thanks for the video!

    My grandmother has the same cheese grater and I have used it a ton of times and it works well the only problem is, is that when all the cheese is grated there will be chunks of cheese in the metal grater part then you have to use either your fingers or a knife to get all that extra cheese out. We mainly use it for mozzarella so it might be different with other cheeses but that is just my experience.

    I actually have the Butter cutter, and it fits my butter perfect, I have never seen what is the "standard" butter stick size in my store. Maybe we only have the skinny sticks in PA. I have had this device for about a yr and worked out of the box and is still working. So I give it 4 stars because getting the plunger out does take a minute.

    I grew up in Portland, not far from Seattle, and we only ever had the longer, skinny sticks when I was a kid. Now I buy the Irish block of butter lol.

    I live in the northeast and I have never seen what you called “standard sized” butter. Only ever seen the regular skinny ones. (And those giant Kerry gold ones but that’s different)
