Thanks for all the comments and love folks, means a lot 😊
You are an amazing person. An example to all of us ❤
Thank you for sharing your story , all the very best ❤
To see you have a proper laugh & giggle, while talking about such horrific things has really touched my heart ❤ I hope you know how amazing you are. Iv got the same sense of humour always crackin a little joke through the worst times of my life. I have so much respect for you. I wish you all the happiness in the world ❤
U really are truly an amazing kind caring person and i would say u are an incredible dad..all the best
You’re an amazing person ❤
i liked this dude the seconds he asked if it was ok to swear, considering his upbringing he managed to gain manners and respect for others, love this video, gl to both men
Agreed
James response was mint as well, even though he loses money!
There are no expletives bad enough to fully describe the nightmare they endured.
Agree
What a wonderful young man I hope he knows he's loved 🙏
“A note to anyone who needs to hear it: We don’t ‘get over’ or ‘move on’ from our trauma. We are forced to make space for it. We carry it. We learn to live with it. And, sometimes, we thrive in spite of it.” Much love. 💙💙💙💙
I agree with you. I have been very successful in my adult life; good career, good marriage, 3 amazing children and now waiting on my first grandchild - despite my traumatic childhood, I just decided that I wasn’t going to repeat the same shit and I even eventually moved to a different country and never looked back!
So true, both of these comments! I had a pretty crappy childhood, but I too have raised our 3 sons, enjoyed a career in teaching; in other words, turned the abuse around. Mother tried to be aggressive and talk about the devil to my children. Despite my fear, I refused to allow it though. The only time I was brave was when this happened, and I’m ridiculously proud of it! Well done to all those who not only survived, but turned the abuse around too. We are amazing! ❤
Yes you are truly amazing, you have my absolute respect. I wish you brave people everything good you deserve in life.
Love this comment I agreee wholeheartedly 🙏 x
well said 🙏
the fact she only served 7 years is crazy, the country is so fucked up
Should have gotten life the sentencing in this country is madness, drug offenders get more time
It bewilders me how not a single one of the attacks was charged as attempted murder. A total failure of the justice system.
A failed country which is dying slowly. Will be absolutely pitiful in 15 years
Makes me want to vomit
The justice system is a total joke. I would go as far as saying The justice system is run by people so far out of touch with reality they may as well be on the moon. I’m so proud of this guy Chris for just rising above all this evil and getting on with life. She can’t touch him now.
He Shows incredible strength.❤(I hope she gets her come uppance though.
This man massively hides his pain with laughter, you can see he is still massively taumatised. I use to follow his sister on fb, after reading her book and lucky enough to have a few message exchanges with her before she died. These kids now adults (including victoria) are amazing. I wish them the best life ever ❤
Well said.
It's literally you either laugh or cry.
What’s the book? ❤
@@osbornepetwildlifeart9776it's called tortured by Victoria Spry.
Most horrific child abuse case I read the book and it was Eunice Spry that had the devil in her not those poor kids so sad Victoria couldn’t cope anymore , glad to see Christopher doing better
Absolutely disgusting that she’s released and out in the public now. Christopher is an amazing and empathetic man I wish him all the happiness in the world.
Exactly. Why was she given such a light sentence? This is not justice. It should have been life and more.
Why doesn't he pay her a visit and return her treatment
She's probably back to fostering again knowing the child services
Christopher I'm genuinely lost for words. Considering the life you endured and the pain you have suffered you are such a warm, empathetic and solid man. I'm astounded at the maturity and dignity you speak with and really hope you feel a sense of pride at the character you've accomplished against all odds. ❤
😊
Claire - so succinctly stated - what an amazing and genuine soul is Christopher in spite of the appalling abuse he was put through............
You said exactly what I was trying to say in my comments 🎉
This is exactly what I was trying to say too! Brilliantly put! What an incredible man Christopher is!
Such a cruel women how could all that to children. I feel he is hiding his pain with laughter. Wish his all the best in life.
This is a joke if she had sold drugs from her farm she would be doing 25 years and have every asset stripped.. there’s no money in locking up an abuser 😡. Excellent interview, heartbreaking that this could happen in this lifetime, Chris should be so proud of himself what a genuine lovely guy 🥲🥰
This guy is an absolute diamond. I wish him all the best. 😊
The way he spoke about his dog was so touching. Wish him all the best in the World. His attitude is the best revenge. His strength is incredible. ❤
❤️
It does happen but i dont think it is a pre requesite for abuse ...i was abused and i am so passionate about keeping our children safe its unreal ... Good luck to you mate you deserve all the happiness xx
My grandad had a dog too untill they sold him. He came back to my grandad to be with him. He swam miles.
Dogs get kids through the abuse and horrific crap they have to put up with. My grandad hated his mum and burnes all her photos. I think she was abusive. One example was she kicked him out and made him sleep on his own at ten.
I don't know if that was the norm. But my grandad always came back to her. He visited her and brought his children to visit her. Yet once she died he went nuts and burned all his photos.
My dad says she Sexually abused him. And tried to force him into being a minister.
I remember my grandad being completely devoid of any sanity. He drank a bottle of whisky a day. But apparently he was a a very smart man. Head of education of his district. But abused, and neglectful, violent.
I don't remember my grandad being sober at all. And my parents let me be around this man. He used to scare the shit out of us with horrible stories while pissed. The angry sheep.
He is amazing.
James, you have had some extremely courageous men on your podcast and he is deffinatly one of them! That laugh is infectious and he should be so very proud of who he has become.
I believe so to he’s a great person
This evil woman should never have been let out of prison. Some seriously evil abuse being described here
😮
Yes and she is still a Jehovah’s Witness. And don’t forget they go knocking on peoples doors .
@@Ozzyjo If that bitch knocked on my door I'd want to knock her out. Hope she got loads of abuse in prison!
@@OzzyjoNEVER let them in your house - better still DON'T open your door! JW's have a serious problem with CSA!
@@allfalldown6812oh ill let her in the house.... she wont get out however....not untill the box comes out too...
I hope this lovely man doesn’t suffer another single minute of his life. Such trauma from someone so evil would destroy a person, but he is just so full of light, it’s really inspiring. This is the 2nd time I’ve heard his story but I was just as shocked and sickened as the first time. Nothing but love and respect to you Chris. Amazing podcast
For anyone who is questioning his story, I went through a very similar experience, to the point where when he was explaining things I was having flashbacks of my life. It's almost like he was talking about my life and I am very messed up now at the age of 34. He's been through a lot and has come a long way, I wish him the best, I know he is still recovering because I still am.
Much love to you.🙏🏼💗
❤❤
Well done, you're doing so well, you are strong. Do as Christopher recommends -- talk to a professional who understands and will support you. You are very brave.
Don't dwell on it, don't look back go forward I hope you find lots of happiness in your life x
Says alot about you. Clearly gone thru something and decided to be a good human when you could have been the opposite thru hate.
This man, Christopher Spry, is an absolute hero. He inspires me every day. What he endured, at the hands of that evil b!tch, is unimaginable . I’m lucky enough to have him as a friend on Facebook, and get to see his life now. All the best Chris, you’re amazing xxx
Christopher as someone born and bred in Cheltenham and also very aware of your story, I'd just like to say, you are worth a million times more than you were treated. You and your sister (who I know, the beautiful cat lady lol) deserve all the love in the World. Love and light from a fellow cheltonian. ❤
LOVELY WORDS
Im sure he has dark times, but not many people would come out the other end with such a sense of humour and strength!
God bless him and his family.
To go through what he's been through and come out of it such a lovely lad amazing
Defo can tell hes a good lad

U follow that way or u split off and do the total opp
@@eyefishinggunkchannel1011 Geezer is chatting out his ass
@@eyefishinggunkchannel1011exactly! So glad he hasn't gone down the self destructive path. What a lovely fella.
What a wonderful human being Christopher is. I would be proud to know you Christopher
That hour and a half flew by. To have gone through what he did and end up such a nice well rounded person is remarkable.
As a mum this broke my heart. It is such a privilege to have a child…. I have one son who is my everything. I just love every single inch of him and would protect him like a mother lion. Chris you are such a joy, any mother should be proud! I would adopt you myself if I could…. But you go out there and live the life you deserve. Total hats off to you xx
big respect to this geeza, he has been through more than 99% of us will ever have to go through and still maintains a positive demeanor. Big RESPECT brother
I also think people listen to these stories because if we’ve been through something, it’s comforting to hear people speak about a (somewhat) relatable childhood. I think it also helps us to reflect on how massive some of the things we’ve overcome are, it’s hard to get that contrast in day to day life. Proud of him for being brave enough to share with us x
It gives me hope to see someone who has been through all of this pain to somewhat recover and be well
The mental strength to talk this openly and honestly without breaking down is amazing
What a nice gentle giant .Well done being brave .wish you total happiness with your little boy and partner
I read Chris’ story a few years ago I messaged Chris personally on instagram and he actually replied. His courage is commendable and his bravery and strength. Really down to earth . If your reading this Chris keep telling your story you should be so proud of yourself . Lots of love xxxx
RIP Victoria ❤ No justice for her sad life. So pleased for Christopher and wishing him all the best for his family and future 🙏
What a pure gentleman after all he's been through from the 1 woman who you should get unconditional love from. God bless you Christopher 🙏💙
So sad, I'm from the Cheltenham area and knowing that was happening around here is shocking.. how could she do that to kids, saying he seen her around recently I hope she will get a kick in after this the evil c*** :(
What an inspirational man. His humour I think definitely helps him. Whatever person told him kids that where abused also abuse needs locking up! My abuse made me determined to be the best parent I could possibly be. My siblings also are fantastic parents. This young man I can tell is a brilliant dad. Bless him. When you experience love actual true love it heals your soul. His soul is healed. And now he helps others. What an inspiration x
Chatting shit for views
Loved the bit when James is flip flopping about the daughter dying in the car crash. I was going through the exact same chain of thought as him!
What an absolutely lovely guy. That's how anyone who's suffered abuse should aspire to be. Top man
14 years is unreal. Kudos to Chris in opening up.
She only served 7 and it feels like a crime that she never was made to serve her whole sentence and then some!
James is a natural at these tough interviews, and I wish the very best for this amazing survivor and is family.
❤️
The fact he is here and smiling is proof he has won and is a massive winner. ❤good on him. Strong good man. We all support you.
My mind is blown that she is out of prison! Chris is a strong man who is an amazing role model to his kids! How he is so well presented and told this so respectfully considering all he had been through!
What an incredible man. Unbelievable what he & his siblings suffered. Chris is so well composed, articulate & compassionate. You can see he has turned his life around. Wishing him all the happiness for the future ❤
james saying 'good riddance' after hearing about judith's death and then changing his mind twice was the exact rollercoaster of emotions I was going through hearing about the car crash story aswell
So many people failed these children but through it all Christopher is a shining light of success.God bless this man and his family. ❤
Where was God when these children were enduring incredible suffering, torture and starvation worse than prisoners in concentration camps??
The way he tells the story, you can tell he sees it like it was yesterday in his mind. When he talks about the bed frame and the floor boards its as if he's looking at them. Bless him can tell he's got ptsd. As some one who had a traumatic childhood, nothing as bad as his, but he reminds me of how I speak about my life events, I can literally see it as if I was just in the room yesterday.
The connection completely makes sense, when i was living abroad i took a stray street dog in as it was winter, cold and wet, i made up a snug bed for it, the dog just pined at the door wanting to go back outside. Its the same with homeless people on the street, they feel more at ease being outside or sitting on a floor. It facinates me how we as humans adapt to things. When i was living a life of luxury, if you like, in a beautiful, hot, mediterian country, and I actually missed the grind of having to get up on a cold and frosty morning and commute to work on a packed train - it's mad.
This was a masterclass in podcasting. The way in which James approached this one, by the time they wrapped, it felt like we'd been privy to two gentleman having a very deep and meaningful conversation, the way men do...with humour. There was a beauty to it, witnessing Christopher, despite the horrific experiences he had to detail in order for the audience to have a better understanding of the abuse he'd suffered, sitting so comfortable and relaxed because James was able to break through his emotional barrier's creating a safe space for him to share. This one highlights the unique skill James posses' which happens to be the key component when you're tasked with telling a sensitive story such as this. It can't be faked, it can't be forced, it certainly can't t be replicated because you simply have it or you don't. I sense a real friendship was born between these two and I can totally appreciate why. If you take his childhood out of it, all you hear is a down to earth, thoughtful, gentle yet courageous, fun, pint of beer on a Sunday afternoon and a kick about with the boy kind of father, who'd be the best kind of friend or family man to have around. If he can evolve into this wonderful young man given the emotional burdens from his past that he's still healing from today then there's hope for the rest of us. I hope Christopher and his surviving siblings' futures continue to become brighter and that the Anything Goes podcast star keeps rising. Well done both. ❤
One of the saddest things is his cover for his pain with the humour and laughs 💔 he seems like such a gentle soul and I hope he finds peace one day.
I just want to give him a massive hug what a wonderful human he is x
What a positive person you are Christopher, im genuinely impressed at how you carry yourself with all the crap you've had to deal with, im sending u lots of love from 🇮🇪
Watching this with a coffee as the sun rises , my 6 year old has just come in, and I've given her the biggest cuddle ever ❤
Christopher you have my absolute respect for coming out of this and having control of your life now , you're through hell and come out the other side ..what a genuine guy
😢❤😢❤😢❤😢❤😢❤😢❤😢❤
Kids take note, when complaining about your McDonald's been to cold or your fortnite pass has ran out, think how tough life could be and how lucky you are to have it all. I can't belive the attitude and maturity of this guy, he has character and spirit with such a degree of courage and resilience , you are truly a model citizen, I hope and prey the rest of your life is full of happiness and peace, honestly hats off to your strength
Ma5e I came from a lot of trauma 22 years of it n ppl abusing n taki advatange of my suffering until I was 30... I still have cold mcdonalds n complain having to heat it up even though I get on with it but I suffer flashbacks n ibs issues n anxiety attacks n nightmares of the abuse n depend on things like McDonald's if I was able to cook I would those days I dont order mcdonalds to have to heat my food before I can eat it cos I really don't eat all day n that is my only meal for the day. People seem to think about the last is in the past or if it isn't then it's our fault. But trauma plays in every aspect of your life forever. It's on going as is the healing struggles and hard work.
Ive just watched this, and all l can say, l just want to give him this massive hug, You keep going lad. Keep the humour, and your dog. God bless you. Love from Dublin, lreland. Much Respect. ☘️👍
What an absolute legend of a bloke as what happened to him couldn’t of happened to a nicer person who has such a good sense of humour . How can someone treat another human being like that let alone a child and she truly is the most evil mum in Britain if not the world. Massive respect to Christopher who is so brave for telling his story.
To suffer this such abuse and trauma which will never leave him and to grow up to be such a nice bloke is unreal!! Listening is like a horror movie
Such a decent sane human being. And sense of humour so bang on as well.
Christopher is a really authentic guy. His mixed emotions resonate with me from experience.
As heartbreaking as this story is he still is an amazingly strong person all the best to you Christopher you so deserve it!
I was haunted by his book years after reading it & his sisters books. Amazing they survived. Good to see he's doing well now. Shocking that Eunice Spry has been let out of prison. She should have got life. 32:50 psychopaths fake the tests easily.
This lad has Thrived considering the awful horrendous start in life, what a brave beautiful man he has become …. ASTOUNDING ❤
After all he has been through he can still smile! Bloody heartbreaking. Take care ❤️
Another amazing interview James
Thanks
What a wonderful gentleman. His story made me weep.I cannot imagine anything its dreadful. He is an amazing human being.
That lad is so genuine, looks like a lovely lad , i cried my heart broke for him , poor soul 😢 thank u for telling your story xx
What an amazingly strong kid. So glad he was able to grow up happy after this nightmare x
To go through such utter trauma and come out with the mindset he has is shows just how strong he is. May God bless you Christopher
Hats off to this man, what a legend 🙌
What an inspirational man.
Absolute respect to him
What an incredible young man, a born survivor. We will never fathom out why adults can look at little ones and see them as "evil". I don't think she was mentally ill, i believe she was just plain evil, hiding under her "religion". Just like the bas*ard priests who abuse little choirboys. Plain evil. With lots of hugs and best wishes to Christopher and his family xx
I am so filled with admiration for this amazing young man. How did he turn out to be such a beautiful person. I wish him all the luck and happiness that he deserves in the world. A powerful interview. Well done James. I have just recently found this channel and it's fantastic.
Wow that was gripping! What a guy he is nothing but utter respect. Literally lived with the devil and come out the other side inspiring others with a absolute positive mentality.
I just stumbled across this. I absolutely love Chris. I've watched something else where he spoke of his abuse.
What an absolutely beautiful human being to have in this world.
I fail to understand why foster parents and their foster children are not routinely spot-checked here in the UK.
yes so much abuse goes on in foster homes it’s unreal- there needs to be more spot checks
💯Everywhere. Apparently in the US it depends on the agency that arranges it. So many horror stories.
James man, nobody else could, but more importantly ‘would’ carry out this interview in the way you did. Incredible job mate.
Thank you ❤️
I don't watch these, I just listen to the podcasts but come on here just to say.. can't believe the heart and spirit this guy has, it's unbelievable how he even found inner strength with the things he did have to survive on and still recognised beauty when it was there. What an absolute inspiration x
As a mother to three children i find this unimaginable 😢, fair play to this young man , i read the book as well , absolutely horrendous, good luck for your future Christopher xx
What an absolutely amazing guy! Considering what he’s been through he is so polite and respectful. I wish him all the happiness he desperately deserves.

It breaks my heart when he says ‘she was our mum’ you can hear the young boy that deserved to be mothered and loved ❤
He’s answered a question for me. My dad who was severely abused couldn’t cope with me crying as a baby and I always confused about it. Now I understand him a little bit more x
This man can teach those who moan about anything and everything , hes a survivor and still a kind , funny , positive man xx ❤
I had an abusive father and never heard I love you as a kid. Now I tell my kids and grandkids I love them every time we part. We don’t all follow the same path as our abusers. Nice podcast guys!! 👌🏻❤️
❤
@justMe. I never heard that word myself
I remember this case when it first came out, it was horrifically heartbreaking then as it is now. For this guy to sit there and be able to tell his story just shows how amazing and resilient he is. He made it through a hell he should never have been in. 100% respect for this man!! 💖
This dude's ability to live his life with this level of trauma is incredible!! He laughs through it all when talking about really difficult stuff, i believe to mask the pain he feels inside. But thats one of the most amazing things about him, many people suffer less and act out badly. I'd say he's a testiment to the people who raised him.. but instead he's a testiment to hinself. Its sad because he'll never be free from the trauma he suffered but he is so awe inspiring at the same time. Because inspite of it all he seems to be thriving, has a kid of his own and is just getting on with life. ❤
Chris if you read this, just want to say you are a great man. Wish you all the best mate ❤
You're an absolute credit to the human race brother pure diamond of a man all my love and respect to you keep on keeping on brother

The way he spoke of his dog, you know through all the abuse, he still has a beautiful heart. Unbelievably strong, even if it doesn’t feel that way sometimes. Sending so much love and healing to Christopher!
