This was a great tutorial! I was cleaning my keurig when one of the arms came out. I was able to disassemble it. There was a small part that broke (nothing major). I was still able to put everything together. Thank for posting this! What a lifesaver!
Very much appreciated!!! You saved me! I've removed the pod holder many times over the decades on this an 4 previous models. And, long story made short, parts flew. I actually broke the piece holding the spring and bottom of of the swivel cup piercing piece, just removing the holder. (I obviously pulled on the wrong part.) I was actually able to use cyanoacrylate, thin and medium, and it's better than ever. Your patient instructions were a life saver. Only suggestion, and I say this very kindly, is that if you are working with black plastic pieces, making a video, I use a 3'x3' sheet of white poster board -- cheap stuff. Also, as you manipulate the pieces, pause from time to time. I obviously made it all work by multiple stop, start, rewind, rinse and repeat. You did GREAT. Just kind observation. Best to you!!
Really helpful! Accidentally popped off a piece and couldn't quite visualize how to get it back on. It turned out to be the last piece you put back on when reassembling the cup holder. Really helped me see how to fit it back into place correctly! Thanks so much!
Same thing... that little piece was broken. After assembly all feels fragile as if some of the pieces had shrunk or changed size with heat over time. The piece with the pole seems it can slide too easy. I am still trying to figure out all the fuzz about such complexity and moving parts. You would think the purpose is to hide the bottom needle but it seems to move it away of out the hole after perforation. I drink my coffee using traditional Italian espresso, 2 cup... only coffee drinker at home. When I use the keurig I use reusable kcups with my own coffee (otherwise strength is way low). It appears someone at home used a reusable did not align the reusable kcup and resulted on pushing down the bottom puncture needle. TIL of the 2 little snaps in the middle. I had not tried disassembling the bottom part, makes it easier but doable without it. Ok, need superglue and will try and see if all holds. Thankfully this assembly (along with tray) can be purchased for some 15USD. Thanks.
Your welcome! Hope it works out for you, it is very possible like you said the heat could be playing a role, but things do just wear out over time. Thankfully as you did also mention it's fairly inexpensive, but this fix can last quite a long time.
Thanks for describing it. Mine was broken on the shoulder where the screw goes in as well, I think somebody put the pod in wrong and then Forced the top down to break that. If your glue fix holds it might be good but I'm buying a new one. Thx
Yes, it’s very inexpensive so makes sense to buy a new one! Thank you for supporting my channel, with all of your help we can get to 1k subscribers! We are so close!
Was watching your video (very good btw) and was taking it apart gently. When I removed the final piec using little force mine broke in the same spot. Must be a defect. We have replaced this piece multiple times. I going to order yet another and may be looking for another coffee maker since this keeps breaking. Thanks again.
Your welcome, glad it helped. It is frustrating when this happens, thankfully ours is still holding! I appreciate your support for my channel. We are so close to 1000 subscribers!
Great video and close up explanation! I followed your steps and re-assembled it however it seems like the spring is not actuating when you push the plastic actuator down it just stays down and doesnt return to its position. Any ideas?
For the last step to put back the small handle piece, could you please show more details? Mine dropped off when I pushed it too hard and I could not put it back in. Thanks.
How do I send you an email with the pic of my keurig pod holder? The pull down latch came off. I’ve tried to put it back in but when I go to pull down the top to brew it is in the way
If this video has helped you save money or time, I would appreciate you clicking the *_thanks_* button above!
My spring had popped out for some time, after prior disassembly, was lost as where to put spring, great tutorial to get everything working!

Hello, i have been trying to put that little plastic thingy back in the pod holder lol
The last part was hard to see, and I’m still struggling to get it to pop back in
How do I send you an email with the pic of my keurig pod holder? The pull down latch came off. I’ve tried to put it back in but when I go to pull down the top to brew it is in the way

Too many moving parts, don’t waste your time doing this, save yourself some frustration, just buy a new one, plain & simple guys.
Hey thanks for giving us detail info anyway, you seems to be the only person who has done this. Again thank you.
Agreed, but this is just there for those who can’t wait for a new part to come in. I appreciate your support for my channel, means a lot!
