As the glide ratios go up the glacier is retreating fast. I was there 10 years ago. Love the way you flew the notch at the ridge bottom. Scary scary! Great video.
Did the ridge a couple of years ago. Tnere is a jumpspot somewhere close to the summit, saw two guy jumping of the south face and gliding along mittellegi.
I have only done a couple static line parachute jumps out of an airplane… But I think, jumping out of an airplane, is much easier than jumping off a cliff!!

@@andyb.1026 without looking at the data, this particular suit is good for sustained gliding at a ratio of 2:1 but can be higher or lower depending on conditions and application. During performance competitions I’ve had 4:1 through the comp window of 1000m
It will take learning to fly your body in the sky, then flying a small wingsuit and progressing into a big wingsuit. Start by contacting your local Skydiving centre and complete the AFF training. Good luck :)
basically, do you have 30k to blow? are you in great shape? you free most of everyday and all weekends? do you get along with people? if you said no to any of these don't even worry about it, but if not, get to the local DZ and get going. what are you waiting for? a written invitation? stop watching stupid tv and do something with your life. wah wah I wanna I wanna! just fukn do it already!
It is different for everyone but it took me just under 3 years and approximately $30,000 in skydive training, base jump training, traveling and equipment before I was flying big suits in the mountains. I started the process 14 years ago. It's worth every penny if you can stay smart/lucky and survive it.

It’s definitely safer from an airplane!
Beautiful jump , thanks for sharing, 😁
Thanks meat eater. The pleasure was all mine 🤙🥦
Why are they flying so narrow to the ridge or in general so narrow to the rock, it seems to me, that it must be even more dangerous.
1:31 How did that structure get there? I have a ton of questions about that thing! Weird!
Piece by piece with a helicopter. We have plenty of huts like that in the alps
@@DUKEisALIVE No, it was built in 1924 and no helicopters were used.

Holy fuck that’s an awesome flight Toby 🚀 🏔 😎 I see John ❤️ exited before you. See you back in Europe next time. Steve (man who likes to cook a bit 🥘)
Keep on cooking Steve. See you there again 🤙
I can hardly wait to get my chance to do this! Anyone have recommendations for a BASE jump school in Europe?
There is a smattering of mentors and masters in the alps during the summer months.
WOW!
How close to the wall can we fly, or other obstructions, until eventually…..
We all die eventually my friend. No one gets out of here alive 🙈✌️❤️
Curious to know whats that house isolated on the top of mountain
I think it’s a station for helicopter search and rescue…
@@TobyRedmile OK. But I don't see where they land the chopper. Seems like the wind would be severe there at times, too.
That's where the Abominable Snowman lives. Don't you know anything. ⚡⚡
It's a hut for mountaineering purposes. For climbers to stay in so they can accomplish more on the mountain.
I presume the helicopter pilot would only accept payment in advance 🙃
Absolutely. He also asked if I could shut the door!
👏👏👏👏
I think I saw Clint Eastwood on a rock face.
How did you all know where to land?
As always have a plan ☑️
I'm just here to see the splat

I'm getting really fed up with wingsuit jumpers and beautiful places...they're becoming a form of pollution.
Misguiding nonsense!
Too bad you can't slow it down and enjoy it longer
