Ok, I've got this farm working well (java 1.19.2). Tweaked a bit to be more focused on Totems than XP or relying on looting too much. Remember to play on at least Normal mode or you won't get Evokers in the raids. Fixes below... 1) Help raider path finding. Clear out a 64 block radius centered on the villager pod and fix the landscape to be as simple as possible. Flood and seal up any caves, especially if they breach the surface. 2) Help raider villager homing. My villager is 2 blocks lower. Raiders seem to jump in the pit, no problem now. 3) Help prevent Vexes. Lowered the point the raiders land on to 25 blocks (so 24 air, then soul camp fires at 25, then hoppers at 26) and those blocks are soul campfires. Drops happen regardless. If playing on Hardcore and you are still worried, just don't attack and stay out of sight. 4) Maybe Looting? Swing away with your looting sword through any size gap you like. Evokers will not live long enough to summon anything. Maybe you hit a few before they die, maybe you don't, but you get at least one totem per Evoker no matter what. More info on raid mechanics...minecraft.fandom.com/wiki/Raid
Man I just left a comment about the soul campfires just see your comment that coukd have saved me some hassle. Makes a world of a difference. First 2 runs almost ended my hardcore world with the vexes. I opted to build mine over an ocean, and although it was awful having to collect enough blocks to give them a platform for the raid spawns, it's 100% efficient and zero risk now.
This farm is great! easy and efficient! 😁 The only thing I added is, in the area where you stay afk, leave several villagers so that with the "hero of the village" the villagers locked in there will drop things for you.
If you've got issues with Evokers but want as much XP as possible so dont want to have soulfires and loose everything - install a dispenser with a lava bucket to one side with a switch either near the kill site or 16 blocks away. If there's too many mobs hit the switch activate lava and kill them. You loose experience and (sometimes) items but better than loosing a hardcore world. (Recommend the 16 blocks as then you just need to worry about vexes and not fangs)
Fantastic easy farm that I've built a few times early game. Some advice: choose your area wisely, make sure it's clear with no holes or rivers (pillagers like to spawn on the most awkward places) You can upgrade it slightly by adding magma blocks to the bottom of the kill chamber, minecart hoppers on a powered rail underneath going back and forth and the chest below. This ensures that if vexes do spawn and kill you, the mobs are still taking damage while you respawn and get back to finish the raid. Thanks again for this great tutorial!
21-25 blocks deep into the ground.. caves nearby do appear quite frequently.. can't check without using cheats as well.. I made a similar farm and found witches/sometimes a whole raid in one cave ... Lol. Went creative then killed them all
@@smoothburrito I put the villager right behind the catch. The catch should be between the outpost and the villager. It’s still insufficient but aides with raid
HUGE PIECE OF ADVICE. Place soul campfires instead of path blocks or slabs at the bottom. Items don't get destroyed and evovkers die too fast for vexes. The downside is you won't get xp. But spamming your looting sword at the bottom will net some xp and additional items. Additionally I built this farm in the air over an ocean nearby a pillager outpost and although it completely sucks to get the hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of blocks to make a platform large enough to cover the raid spawns, I'll now never run out of totems in my hardcore world. The ocean part is not 100% necessary but the soul campfires made this so much easier. I tried out 2 raids initially and both times was almost killed by vexes until I made the change.
@@ModernDahl so those initial trials when you almost died, did you have sharp V and Sweeping edge? im fairly sure in ianxo4's version the sweeping edge was to do it "efficiently", now whether or not that means its safer from vex or its just simply so you can kill everything faster, idk, but i feel like they kinda go hand in hand right? so im just curious if you had already been kitted out and they STILL almost killed you both times that it might actually be necessary for hardcore? either lowering the killing platform to like 25 blocks or doing the soul campfires, that is.
In my opinion this farm is great if you don’t have an ocean near you or if you don’t have a lot of materials. I build this farm in my survival 1.19 java and I got some issues with my farm. Some of the issues were that the vexes did spawn and they were attacking me, another problem was that the area had a lot of mountains and sometimes the enemies got stuck in some blocks. My recommendation is to build another farm in the ocean. It is a lot more efficient and it has almost no problems. This farm is good and easy besides those problems.
Built mine about 200 from a Pillager Outpost, works great and wasnt hard to built. 1.19.4 and going strong, Villager was the hardest part. Thanks for the tutorial
Built the farm exactly like that, first invoker that fell in somehow despite farm being exact copy of this spawned like 4 vexes on me and got me killed. I tried some things on hardcore and if you wanna solution just make the hole at least 30 blocks deep, add magma blocks at the botom, then build simple collection system with hopper minecart. This will cause evokers to die from fall damage guaranteed and you still get the totem. You don`t need to kill them for them to drop the totem, they drop it no matter what causes their death.
Yeah i just my hardcore world because of vexes, it wasnt old hardcore world but it sucks, because 2 months ago i lost my old hardcore world because i was going out of nether there was creeper waiting for me
The first mob to fall into the pit of course is a creeper. I did this build on bedrock xbox one, but the path blocks do not work, not enough gap. I fixed this with carpet on the hoppers, not path blocks. A slab closes the gap instead of a full block, giving enough room to attack the mobs without being attacked. When the creeper fell in, I just made stairs up a few blocks and over to the vertical shaft, poured water until drowned. With the carpet this build worked on bedrock.
@@moonshot9056 doesn’t openly specify that it works on java only, wanna show me where it does? and someone in the comments talked about how they got it to work on bedrock..
Very easy build. Can confirm it works in survival 1.19.3. thanks so much! I used soul fire campfire above my hoppers, helps to kill them faster. I also use sweeping edge iii, sharpness v, and looting 3 on my sword. This helps me kill everything fast so vexes are never cast.
Finished the build and the only problem is the evokes can still spawn vexes and it magic claw claw thingys, this only happens when I hit them, they can’t hurt me until I hit them, I died like 3 times to the vex’s. Other then that, it’s a great build and love the channel
for vexes i built some slabs on the right and on the left and put boats on there and some on the floor too. just let the vexes in there till the raid rave is over. dont kill them with a sword while they are in the boat unless you want to break the boat and get attacked
if you have a xp farm and dont need the xp from this farm then you can extend the hole to 30 blocks as they will just fall down and die so you will get all the loot without even doing anything and without the chance of getting killed by the vexes
If you have a good armor (full diamond) i reccomend to set difficulty to hard so more captains will spawn at the outpost and there will be more raiders and you will get more loot! I hope this helps!!
I made this farm following the tutorial and evokers spawn vexes before i could kill them. My solution for this is go 28 blocks down instead of 21. If you go 28 blocks down, the enemies remain with half a heart, includes the evokers. If you kill them imediately when they fall, they won't have the time to spawn the vexes. Besides, you can get the loot and xp. I hope this helps someone.
I used a method like this and not only did I accidentally dug into an enormous cave, but two pillagers manage to fall into the kill chamber! My first raid farm was a total disaster!
Pillager What do you think about making a video about an allay item sorter. You don't need minecarts and water streams. All you need is a glass box, a dropper facing down at one corner of the box, Put a cobweb underneath, a few blocks below the cobweb, put a soulsand and soulfire. Then put trapdoors surrounding the cobweb and soulfire inside the glass box so the allay in the glass box doesn't get caught in cobweb. Now put a noteblock on the wall, put 3 hoppers one block below and one block Infront and have more hoppers to funnel those items in a chest outside the glass box. And then give the Allays items you want to have your easy allay item sorter. If you only have one unwanted item, swap the soulsand with a hopper and chest, and make the hoppers funnel into a dropper that drops items in soulfire, and give the one allay one unwanted item.
Damn I’ve come up with a similar vertical allay-cobweb sorting system, it’s amazing for the nether since it doesn’t require water or complex piston-ice systems. The minecraft community hasn’t been taking allays that seriously, people are stuck in their ways. Needing a wood and iron farm and a ton of redstone for typical item sorters is so much more effort imo

Js, try to keep in mind would be nice for survival players if you built it in the way a survival player would do it
This farm was a God send to me yikes! Thanks for the guide! Though a heads up. For the kill chamber I added campfires to add more damage (you can also use fire aspect or soul campfire). The reason is because you will need more swings against the evokers and sadly they will spawn hexes and other attacks prior before finishing them off (if your sword is not powered up that is). The witches will also use fire resistance to survive the fire chamber and a heal potion. Keep wailing on them and you're ok. Just be sure your sword has looting to get emerald drops
Dripstone? I didn't do it on mine but I'm curious if you wanted to add damage but not kill them if you raised the platform then put dripstone would it work?
@David Mckee adding dripstone can work as well as soul fire. The truth is once the evoker spawn those vexs there is no stopping them bc vexs phase through ANY BLOCK no matter what. Keep a bed in the chambers and keep trying to kill the vexs when that happens. Other than that I barely had that issue (I also redid the drop height to go much deeper so it takes just one shot). It helps to make a decent size kill chamber for you to camp in.
“Pillager!” Great tutorial, so simple and easy and well efficient, though I can’t build it in my work cuz my Minecraft on my computer is acting up and won’t install so sadly I can’t build it unless it works on bedrock!!! Anyways it’s a great vid!!! Keep it up
i built this farm on hardcore and if you're doing this early game, be aware, the evoker CAN spawn vexes even if you do what the video says, so you cant stay AFK. and the terrain NEEDS to be flat, or the mobs can go inside caves and lost themselves there. btw i did some tests and the evokers can spawn vexes anyway, so its literally uselles to put the dirt path in there, its better to put campfires and stay out of the evoker's sight.
Thank you very much i really like getting killed by vexes this farm helped me alot, i can now die whenever i want and i loose almost all of my exp i love this farm nice work!
Build was almost as easy as said. However, my first villager decided the path to his bed was around the steps😳😂 yep stepped right off into the pit. However, that is the ONLY thing that actually has gone into the pit. Two full raid & so far none of the pillagers have entered the pit. From comments it works. Wonder if this is a bedrock pc issue?
If you add redstone to the trap doors and make the redstone go off an on the pillagers will stand on the trap doors Then they will fall in when they close
@@Xwight. hmmm…ur assumption is the trapdoors r not placed correctly. And as far as I can tell it is built exactly as in the vid. But thanks for the suggestion. ‘.
I did in the ocean but its not working. I climbed to the top near the villager to start the raid. When i came down to the killing area the raid disappeared :(
i built it easily thanks to the great tutorial! one problem i have is that the pillagers don't come into the farm... they stay in the area even if i'm in the killing area. any advice? i'm on Bedrock btw i don't know if that's the problem
I double checked that I built it right, but the raiders are not dropping into the killing zone. They’re just standing around the pit. Please help! Bedrock 1.19
@@jordancollins1514 same issue. I closed up caves. Any spot they can spawn below. They spawn near the pit. I lowered the villager some so they can lock on. Spawning isn’t an issue, it’s apparently the ability to lock into the villager
This farm is terrible as hell. It literally doesn't stop vexes from spawning AT ALL, and, when they DO spawn, you have NO ROOM TO FIGHT THEM OFF. On top of all that, the evokers can STILL CAST SPELLS AT YOU. Literally don't use this unless you want to fail!
I found a few flaws while doing the raids: 1. Caves, if there underground caves near your farm, some will spawn down there. 2. Vex, if you hit a evoker, vexes will spawn and they will insta kill you since they're so OP. I checked to find a solution and it seems digging the hole 28 blocks will put the pillagers and evokers half a heart. Or you can you place lava since they burn to death and quickly remove it to not burn the loot, you may not get looting 3 affect but who cares, its a farm so you can do it infinitely.
Built your iron farm earlier! And it works pretty good. I dont really build a lot of statues or buildings, i just build farms and things that actually help me progress. I will build this farm next since i really need totems and emeralds for trading
This farm is good but if you are too close to the outpost, pillagers that spawn in the outpost join the raid and make it so you can't even get past the first wave. I've done four raids and haven't gotten past the first wave
I like your tutorials a lot! Easy to follow, all resources and steps shown, even distances and stuff. Even the music is nice. Have a sub and a like! 👍 (I almost never click like on any videos unless I really like them!)
this farm is amazing the only thing i would change is to add campfires on top of the hoppers no xp but for a starter hardcore totem farm its life saver!
If you don’t want your villager to respawn but you don’t have name tags an easy alternative is to just trade with it once this will lock the trade and keep it from despawning
woah thats amazing definetly pulling up a seed map later and building this this looks great the only problem will be boating a villiger like 3000 block will be annoying but worth it for sure
You guys don’t realize but I made this farm with my friends and guess what, the raid was so long and it wouldn’t end as the kept respawning, but after a couple of hours, when the first round ended, hundreds of ravagers and hundreds of evoquers spawned everywhere in one single raid, I had at least 5 doubles chest full of totems and loots like no joke The bad part was that I had been spawn killed by hundreds of vexes and illgers but it was quite fun
Pillager! I have a question, should I build the villager "box" and send a villager inside first, or just follow how the video built it? Because it seems like it is easier to finish the villager part first.
My recording software didn't record the sound of the game for some reason, so I'm sorry about that :)

This is one of the best videos I have ever seen. Plus the farm gives so much loot
im going to build this and thanks for the farm! i wanted to make one but thought they were to expensive! so thanks alot!
Thx for the likes btw i never get likes!
essa Farm e muito boa e Farma bastante coisa vlw msm obrigado por ter feito esse vídeo 😎👍🏻
😎👌
Tem distância certa da vila?
“Pillager!” Great tutorial, so simple and easy and well efficient, though I can’t build it in my work cuz my Minecraft on my computer is acting up and won’t install so sadly I can’t build it unless it works on bedrock!!! Anyways it’s a great vid!!! Keep it up
Don't think it will work on bedrock sadly 😔 and that's not great to hear, about the PC version
@@Voltrox yeah, i want to get a more powerful computer soon and maybe a new pc might fix it?!? we are just gonna see
Guess what?? I fixed my minecraft finally!!! And guess what im building in my world right now?!?!
It worked so well!! Thankyou very much Man!❤
Pillager! Great vids by the way.
i built this farm on hardcore and if you're doing this early game, be aware, the evoker CAN spawn vexes even if you do what the video says, so you cant stay AFK.
and the terrain NEEDS to be flat, or the mobs can go inside caves and lost themselves there.
btw i did some tests and the evokers can spawn vexes anyway, so its literally uselles to put the dirt path in there, its better to put campfires and stay out of the evoker's sight.
lost my hardcore world today cuz of these ghosts
@@masakrator452 hey me aswell pre unfortunate wish I would have saw this comment before
My issue is all the pillagers run around the area but not to the villager. So they don't fall into the pit.
Me to
did you use trapdoors?
Yes I did. It's like the pillagers were just not interested in getting to the villager
@@onibrandon28 have you found a fix to this I have the same issue
@@rags_to_richs4382 Maybe ur villager is too high
the raid starts but none of the pillagers fall into the trap
I’m having the same problem
Use trapdoors just like he is using
Are you maybe playing on bedrock edition?
@@MrBaverboso can't work in bedrock?
@@ErlanggaDS no, trapdoors don’t count as blocks in bedrock
Wow. this will really help with my hardcore world. cause im working on trying to get an efficiency V pickaxe! thanks dude!
Place the trapdoor correctly like in the video don't place it wrong or the illager can't detect it as a solid block
@@Xwight. hmmm…ur assumption is the trapdoors r not placed correctly. A different way to have phrased this is ‘have u checked the trap door placement?’ And then I could have responded w a ‘I actually took the whole damn thing apart & rebuilt it slowing down the vid to make sure some part I had not overlooked. And as far as I can tell it is built exactly as in the vid. But thanks for the suggestion. ‘.
usually such videos are for java unless specified it's for bedrock too.
@@droman655 hey man, did you find any solutions?
for this farm to efficiently work, you need to slab 5x5 chunks around and all the caves. thats why building a farm in ocean is far more easier
I did in the ocean but its not working. I climbed to the top near the villager to start the raid. When i came down to the killing area the raid disappeared :(
If there's cave near killing chamber, will it work? I'm scared of Vexes spawning in the cave
Nah i have built mine next to a cave and it works as its supposed to
Thx man i need alot of totems in my hardcore so this is PERFECTTT
Just an fyi for anyone playing with fire destruction turned on: fence gates will light on fire and burn beside lava so you have to use signs instead
use crimson/warped fence gates
i built it easily thanks to the great tutorial! one problem i have is that the pillagers don't come into the farm... they stay in the area even if i'm in the killing area. any advice? i'm on Bedrock btw i don't know if that's the problem
Same problem
I double checked that I built it right, but the raiders are not dropping into the killing zone. They’re just standing around the pit. Please help! Bedrock 1.19
@@jordancollins1514 same issue. I closed up caves. Any spot they can spawn below. They spawn near the pit. I lowered the villager some so they can lock on. Spawning isn’t an issue, it’s apparently the ability to lock into the villager
Does this still work in 1.20?
when i came back with bad omen the raid didn't start
It works great but not all mobs go to the farm they stay around ¿What can I do for them to go to the farm?
I heve the same Problem
I think if you put the villager higher it will work
materials
trapdoor-38
ladder- 30
glass-24
fence gate-12
slab-10
Hopper -4
chest-2
water bucket-2
lava bucket-1
villager-1
bed-1
shovel-1
thanks bro love ur vid!!!! Deserve a SUBB!
Dont work in Bedrock version
Thanks for saving my time
DO NOT USE THIS DESIGN!!!! Almost died in hardcore due to vexes
just use campfires instead
Skill issue
This farm is terrible as hell. It literally doesn't stop vexes from spawning AT ALL, and, when they DO spawn, you have NO ROOM TO FIGHT THEM OFF. On top of all that, the evokers can STILL CAST SPELLS AT YOU. Literally don't use this unless you want to fail!
I found a few flaws while doing the raids:
Me and my friends r pretty far into the game and need the farm. Too lazy to build a complex one, this was perfect, THANK U!!
A flaw with this farm is that if pilliger spwan to far from the villiger in the glass cage, they will not agro it and go to the pool of water
Thanks Man you're the best
Thank you for tutorial❤
This gave me so many totems that I make my dogs carry them now
Built your iron farm earlier! And it works pretty good. I dont really build a lot of statues or buildings, i just build farms and things that actually help me progress. I will build this farm next since i really need totems and emeralds for trading
works very well. Nice vid
My first try got 2,5 stacks of emeralds, 6 totems and another loot only With bad omen I.
Thank you very much...
Does it still work?
Pillager
If you see this I am honestly amazed as this video came out almost a year ago!
thnx, works Great! :)
Pillager! Great farm thxxx
bro this worked really well and i was afking doing super good, in my HARDCORE WORLD, and some vexes ended up spawning, there goes my hardcore world!
thank you so much!!
advice if you want your farm automated i have a tip but not for xp put 2 iron golems as they can reach them:).Fully automated!!
this farm is amazing the only thing i would change is to add campfires on top of the hoppers no xp but for a starter hardcore totem farm its life saver!
Thank u for this farm I have been using it for My world
this farm is great but the witch can heal the evoker and he can kill you with te vex
Pillager!! (Wheres my heart👉👈)
Fun fact: to remove the farm just break the bed then the raid finished
Good build you should make a outpost farm
Thank you so much ❤
If you don’t want your villager to respawn but you don’t have name tags an easy alternative is to just trade with it once this will lock the trade and keep it from despawning
Villagers can’t despawn
great vid btw all the other ones are complicated
thank you this farm started out working than the vexes happened and killed me. ended my hardcore world they still spawned in thanks.
I got a stack of emeralds and 6 totems with a looting 3 sword. It’s really efficient.
Bro instead of learning the farm, I've learned tons mc mechanics in these videos 🗿
woah thats amazing definetly pulling up a seed map later and building this this looks great the only problem will be boating a villiger like 3000 block
will be annoying but worth it for sure
Those dirt paths did absolutely nothing to stop vexes from erasing my 30 levels several times over
You guys don’t realize but I made this farm with my friends and guess what, the raid was so long and it wouldn’t end as the kept respawning, but after a couple of hours, when the first round ended, hundreds of ravagers and hundreds of evoquers spawned everywhere in one single raid, I had at least 5 doubles chest full of totems and loots like no joke
The bad part was that I had been spawn killed by hundreds of vexes and illgers but it was quite fun
I am so dum, I should have pictured this
By the way if someone can explain how that happened it would be great
pillaged
also btw this helped so much bro
Pillager!
very useful farm ! Thank you so much my survival world is now better!
You deserve 100000000000000000 billion subs😁
The raid farm is epic I get 49 emerald and 4 totem but evikers are spawning vesex
Never seen such a good tutorial
Thanks! Lost my hardcore world to this super helpful!😡
Pillager!
I have a question, should I build the villager "box" and send a villager inside first, or just follow how the video built it? Because it seems like it is easier to finish the villager part first.
