Dang it Rodney! This is going to be yet another game I see played on your channel and have buy. You're just going to have to start playing terrible games. I've explained to my wife that just like Russia interfered with our elections, Canadians are causing me to drain my bank account. She's not buying it... Seriously tho, really enjoyed this one. Keep up the great work!

Usually I use Watch it Played to see what new games I should add to the 'try it out' list. I've had the opportunity to play Sagrada and I'm still 100% watching this play through, love the chemistry been you two!

Suggestion: I would take the yellow 5 and complete the column, thereby locking in the 5 points. I would then place the purple 2 in the corner. Reason being that yellow and green can always be recalled from the round tracker in case you need it. Also pep is hungering for those purples so I am assuming that is his secret goal and taking the lone purple works against him
Suggested move for Rodney's next turn: Take the yellow 5 and place it on the yellow space and the purple 2 and place it on the 2-shade space (top right corner of the board).
It's time to start using the good tools while they cost 1, he may have 5 but at 2 points he can only use a tool twice.
He has no reason to use the tools at the moment. None of his dice is blocking the scoring goals. Well, unless he wants to risk it and try and get a 3 on a yellow die. That said, if he got a 2 or a 4 on that yellow die, it would complicate things. And Pep should grab the purple 2, and place it in the purple space.
I think it is a little early for using tools, especially when they are so many "blank" spaces. I would still wait for using the tools until you are really stuck. Especially since you have the Lens Cutter in play, which you can take your pick to draft.
My recommendation:
The yellow 5 on the yellow space and the green 5 on the green space.
I think Rodney’s best move is to put the purple 2 in the top right (filling in the restricted spaces while there’s still options, getting a diagonal color bonus, and keeping Pep from getting another purple), and one of the yellows in the yellow space (probably the 5, since Pep is more restricted in where he can place the 1).
Edit: just watched part 2, and I got it spot-on.
The purple 2 should go in the top right, that helps with the column objective and gives you two points for the diagonals objective. The other one doesn't matter too much, other people have given good suggestions and it's still early to be able to block Pep. The green one in the green spot would unlock all your slots that were unreachable due to adjacency for example. Just avoid filling white slots while you have options.
Tips for the next rounds: Your next blue die should go above your purple 3, no matter the value. That gives you points for the column. Avoid putting a yellow die there, here's why:
If you get a blue 6 after that, definitely put it in your 6 spot beside your purple 3. You'll lose the column bonus, but you would lose it anyway putting anywhere else, but will get more points this way due to your secret objective and the diagonals objective (which comboed with my first tip =P )
rodney should place the purple 2 on the space that requires the 2 shade and then use flux brush to reroll the yellow 5 and place it on either above the blue 2(aka bluetooth), or just take the green 5 and place it on the green space. Great playthrough as always. So keep it up

Take both 5vs and place them into there colored places on the board.
Yellow 5 to the yellow spot and Purple 2 to the top right 2 spot. This will give you a diagonal purple and yellow score, AND most importantly, you will deny Pep the purple die.

You guy are hilarious. On the public objective card that says sets of 3 and 4 in your window. What does sets mean?
It's means having both a 3 and a 4 value. So each unique pair of 3's and 4s counts as a set.
What happens to favor tokens after you put'em on a tool card? Do they stay there till the end of the game or do they reset at the end of a round?

In that first round, wouldn’t it make more sense to put that green 3 in the top left of the left window, so that you could score a diagonal bonus with the green panel in your pane?
Very possible. Hard to remember my thinking at the time, and without a time stamp I can’t check to see if that was legal.

Correct me if I am wrong but I believe Pep's move no. 5 and 6 is incorrect. The rules say the next die should be placed adjacent to a die that was previously placed.
If you can provide a time stamp, I'll double check, from skimming through the video, I don't see the spot you are referring to, so I'm not sure which moment you mean.
@@WatchItPlayed 5:30. After Pep's yellow 5 the next die is purple 4 that is not adjacent to yellow 5 his previously placed die. After that blue 2 is placed again not adjacent to purple 4 die that was placed

@@WatchItPlayed sorry if I don't understand English to perfection but using "dice" or "any" in the rulebook is not a bad idea. Thanks for clearing that up. Rodney you are THE BEST. ;)
