Beautiful Park. Always fun to see where you go. I'm always impressed how well low power works in environments like that. I would never have guessed that your signal was getting into AK. Congrats on a beautiful activation! Take care, 73 Eric
The Hustler antennas works much better than the Hamsticks. I used Hamsticks for more than 4,000 activation on most of the HF bands. I switched to the Hustlers. 73 de N2NWK, nice video.
Thanks for working me P2P, I will look for your call on the video footage if I have it and you will be in the next video ;) looking forward to working again. 73 Kevin
Your not Kidding Chuck, that KX2 is so fast to setup. I am finding however with band conditions being poor, that more power is useful at times. I worked a POTA this weekend with 3 radios and 4 antenna systems. It was fun and the results were different. I want to work you one day either POTA or a normal contact. California should be an easy reach for me.
I hope I get make contact with you when you do. There are 4 other POTA entities withing a 5 mile radius of the park. Not that LYS would want you do that all day ;) thanks for watching Noji 👍
Michael is really fun to talk with as you might already know. Did I work you on K-4397 ? I saw you in the chat, thanks for watching the live stream, I hope i have you in the log and perhaps on the video to come from it. 73 Kevin
Hustler as by further m far the more flexible antenna, performance wise, I would venture to say they both produce a similar signal . The hustler surrender is far more flexible for using.
Thanks for sharing your experience and pictures from the park! Ps. Your live Q&A with KB9VBR was fun to watch! Are you on Patreon? If not you should consider it, I learn a lot from watching your videos and I’m sure many do too. Thanks N1YLO
Thanks Andrew, yes Michael is very fun to work with. I am not on Patreon currently, I will look into it because I sure could use that kind of support to help make more videos that help views like you. i look forward to getting you in the log if you hunt for POTA activators. 73 Kevin
@@hamradiowithkevin I hunt occasionally but really like to get out and activate. Took my gear to work today and hunted some POTA out of my lineman’s truck at a baseball field and managed one SOTA. Looking forward to making a contact with you. If you get on Patreon I’m willing to support your channel.
Thank you for watching, I would bet that video was a SOTA activation. POTA activation's can be made directly from a car or not. The rules are a bit different. and BOTH types are really a lot of fun to do. 73
Please don't say "seven three." I listened in the past to the CBers take 'seventy three' and mangle it from 'seven three' all the way to 'seven thirds'. I, for one would sure like to see it stay "seventy three."
It's an expression from CW, where there's no way to say "seventy three," just a seven, followed by a three. So "seven three" is the original. Even CB-ers are right part of the time!
Thank you Robbie. Yes, that will be great having a qso with you on the radio. I am hoping to an antenna up that will provide more reliable DX. 73 Kevin
Enjoyed the video very much. And maybe I will be in your next video. I worked you on 20m 14.292 k-4397 . 73 AE4OY William Peacock EM-81UF SOUTH EAST GEORGIA

Thanks for the video. It was cool hearing our contact. 73 de AJ5C Bob.
Absolutely Bob, it was fun for me to have you hunt me in those remote locations. Lets do that again ! 73 Kevin

Thank you Phillip for watching, I look forward to getting you in the log. 73 Kevin K7SW
KX2 for the win! I rarely have much luck on 40m on the west coast for some reason , but 20m is great!

Great activation! Utah has some fabulous national parks.
Thank you, and you are absolutely right about the parks. 73 Kevin
I should've known Goblin Valley is a POTA location. Our family goes there almost every year. Next time, I'll know, and will activate!

Well done...great audio...beautiful park.
Many thanks Kenneth !
Interesting geology. Mudstone hoodoos? I saw you with Michael KB9VBR the other day on his show and then on the air when you were at K-4397.

Curious about the Hustler vs. Hamstick on 40 meter.
And experience?

RF ROLL . . . 💯👍🙋♂🍻
Always appreciated ✌️💪
Watched another pota video and they said you have to be separated from your vehicle with a portable battery to be an actual activation?

i went to goblin valley years ago. it was a b!tch to get there...
There is so much to do, Wildhorse slot canyon, temple mountain and more.
