  • The wind howls, the sea rages, and nature throws its full fury against the towering sentinels of the Mangersta Sea Stacks. But amidst the chaos, one photographer stands defiant, lens locked on the raw beauty unfolding before them.

    Well done Paul.
It was interesting to see inside the houses.
The wind was certainly blowing a gale. Great shots of the stacks and waves.

LOL cracking video I have photographed those sea stacks several times and its been windy like that every time for me, its a cracking location for sure.
Get some heated socks to compliment the jacket, I got some from Amazon not expensive and a game changer when your standing around in the cold waiting for the light.
Keen to see what you have in the next video I'm guessing its "the secret [not so secret] bothy"?

Bet you didn't use slow shutter speed to get motion blur on the water like you usually do! Everyone insists on bluring moving water, that's not real. Great trip you had.

Thanks for posting. How are you achieving such crisp long duration shots in the cottages without a tripod please? Monopod, prop or just a steady hand?

What does it say on the bag hanging in the van at the start? 😆 The sea stacks looked amazing.

I must admit I'm not the greatest fan of 'Folk Museums', always found them a bit twee and I'd also be spotting the modern stuff, they tend to be a hotch-potch of donated items and can come across as a theme pub. If they're trying to show a sort of Victorian village then the metal framed windows are accurate though. I've had the joy of trying to get the bloody painted in rusted frames to open, with the cog and geared mechanism, in a cottage I once lived in.
