I always love the more subtle ways that Nekoma express actual cat-like behaviour: in this episode especially, the way that Kenma decides that Lev is interesting enough to pay attention to instead of not making eye contact at all, and the description of Lev at the end as selfish and impossible to understand.
so what sarah hasnt mentioned yet adam, the fanbase as a whole. doesnt purely vote for karasuno, u can probably find a good chunk of the fanbase support different teams and pretty equally too. all the players are just relatable and likeable. theres really no villains in this show

in terms of DND, Kageyama is RAW INTELIGENCE build, Oikawa is CHARISMA focused and Kenma is WISDOM player :D Kageyama has inborn talent but sucks at explaining it to others (similar to noya) because you can't explain something you are born with it over something you learn and practice. Oikawa lack's kageyama's born talent but is very charismatic (charisma is power of presence, not nessecarily how nice or good you are so even evil nasty and rude people can be very charismatic) and focus on his relationships with others to gain advantage on the court. Kenma is wisdom player, he does not have kageyama's born talent that makes him simply figure out everything on the spot as it comes naturally to him and he lacks social skills of oikawa but he is composed and calculated and approach everything as a problem to be solved so its only matter of time before he find a solution to anything that is thrown at him through trial and error. I said all this to point out that in terms of their skills there is no objective "best". sure you can say Kageyama has the most talent and that oikawa has most experience so naturally kenma would be 3rd place, but i dont think that either kageyama or oikawa would perform as good as Kenma in nekoma's team. That is my opinion at least, if others think nekoma would benefit more from other setter thats is absolutely fair, but my point is that these three setters have rock,paper,scissor relationship rather than 1st 2nd 3rd kind of comparison

Hi, I know this series will go on with the following seasons, but for me it has been a journey. On february 19th, UA-cam recommended me a video of an olympic player reacting to Haikyuu, it was season 4 episode 16. I got amazed at the insight she gave, how she spoke about Tanaka, his role, and a lot of things I didn't even think about on my own 😅. After watching until almost the end of season 4, I said to myself: , so I went to s01e01 reaction, and then the next one, and the next one... until today. Today I've reached the last available episode at the moment, after almost 1 month, 112* videos, and the certainty of always having something to watch when sitting on my own. It's been a journey, I've learned a lot, from Sarah and from the people in the comments, it has truly been a honor to do this "marathon", and I just wanted to say thank you, really, it may be not that serious, "it's just a club", but honestly, I got hooked. . . . *(it's actually 113 total, since couple reaction s1e18 is missing from the playlist)

13:00 I definitely disagree that Kageyama would have nailed it. The problem wasn't with Kenma's set. Even Kurou said the set was perfect. The problem was with Lev's swing. The reason Kageyama was able to exactly pinpoint the set into Hinata's palm because Hinata had a normal swing.
Naw, it's not exactly communicated to us that Lev makes any adjustments. In this OVA, the hitting line practice is shown entirely from Kenma's perspective. He's the one making all the adjustments by considering Lev's approach and backswing, trying to set slower or faster, etc. Then he gets one observation on Lev's arm reach with the cat scene and then suddenly they end up connecting the next day. This is possible because again, Kenma is the one adjusting here, this time with a jump set (all the previous ones are standing sets). It'd be fair to argue that Kageyama would've nailed it sooner OR a similar development between he and Lev would've happened like with Hinata where he just tells Lev to jump and hit as high and fast as he can and Kageyama would take care of the rest.
@@zeronrb1739 It's like you're not even watching the OVA. Like the said, the problem is Lev's SWING. He's new to volleyball, so his swing is INCONSISTENT. That's why Kenma had problem adjusting to his swings. I never said anything about Lev adjusting to Kenma's sets. He's too new for that. Even Hinata, who's been practicing spiking for years (although without a real setter) doesn't know how to adjust to a set. However, because Hinata has been practicing spiking for years, his swing is consistent. At this point, Lev CANNOT swing consistently, so there's no way Kageyama could pinpoint a set to his palm, like he did for Hinata. Did you see that even after Kenma realized that Lev had a slower swing because of his long arms and set it higher, which Lev hit the first time, but kept missing afterwards. Because Lev CANNOT swing consistently.

We also get Kuroo saying "Lev, you're putting too much force into it." Luckily, the original argument here is whether or not Kageyama would've fared any better (or "nailed it" as it were), and rather conveniently Kenma follows that up by saying "It's not like I'm Karasuno's setter," with the implication that he would've done just that, or perhaps that just maybe there is some difference in skill between the two.

However, the discussion that Sarah brought up was whether or not Kageyama would nail it right away, which he would not have. That's my point.

Heyy Sarah and Adam, i would like to give you a recommendation to react The First Slam Dunk Movie by Takehiko Inoue. It's one of the best sports manga and anime of all time. This show is on same level with Haikyuu and maybe arguably better than Haikyuu. In fact, the author of Haikyuu was inspired by Takehiko Inoue (Slam Dunk Writer's). The animation is on another level, It's very good at giving the impression of real basketball movements. More importantly, I want to know from athlete perspective about The First Slam Dunk Movie. Hi, I know this series will go on with the following seasons, but for me it has been a journey.
On february 19th, UA-cam recommended me a video of an olympic player reacting to Haikyuu, it was season 4 episode 16. I got amazed at the insight she gave, how she spoke about Tanaka, his role, and a lot of things I didn't even think about on my own 😅. After watching until almost the end of season 4, I said to myself: , so I went to s01e01 reaction, and then the next one, and the next one... until today. Today I've reached the last available episode at the moment, after almost 1 month, 112* videos, and the certainty of always having something to watch when sitting on my own. It's been a journey, I've learned a lot, from Sarah and from the people in the comments, it has truly been a honor to do this "marathon", and I just wanted to say thank you, really, it may be not that serious, "it's just a club", but honestly, I got hooked.

Loved the reaction, btw I think you guys are a little confused about Inuoka. He didn't figure out the quick from Hinata and Kageyama, he just blocked it. The one that figured it out and gave the orders to him was Kenma, I love Inuoka but he's not that smart haha.
But props to Inuoka that he could use Kenmas instructions and was able to block Hinata 😊
That’s fair, but the fact that he was able to actually execute it is huge in my opinion.

13:00 I definitely disagree that Kageyama would have nailed it. The problem wasn't with Kenma's set. Even Kurou said the set was perfect. The problem was with Lev's swing. The reason Kageyama was able to exactly pinpoint the set into Hinata's palm because Hinata had a normal swing.
Naw, it's not exactly communicated to us that Lev makes any adjustments. In this OVA, the hitting line practice is shown entirely from Kenma's perspective. He's the one making all the adjustments by considering Lev's approach and backswing, trying to set slower or faster, etc. Then he gets one observation on Lev's arm reach with the cat scene and then suddenly they end up connecting the next day. This is possible because again, Kenma is the one adjusting here, this time with a jump set (all the previous ones are standing sets). It'd be fair to argue that Kageyama would've nailed it sooner OR a similar development between he and Lev would've happened like with Hinata where he just tells Lev to jump and hit as high and fast as he can and Kageyama would take care of the rest.
@@zeronrb1739 It's like you're not even watching the OVA. Like the said, the problem is Lev's SWING. He's new to volleyball, so his swing is INCONSISTENT. That's why Kenma had problem adjusting to his swings. I never said anything about Lev adjusting to Kenma's sets. He's too new for that. Even Hinata, who's been practicing spiking for years (although without a real setter) doesn't know how to adjust to a set. However, because Hinata has been practicing spiking for years, his swing is consistent. At this point, Lev CANNOT swing consistently, so there's no way Kageyama could pinpoint a set to his palm, like he did for Hinata. Did you see that even after Kenma realized that Lev had a slower swing because of his long arms and set it higher, which Lev hit the first time, but kept missing afterwards. Because Lev CANNOT swing consistently.
@@erict1628 Ah, I see what you're saying, even with the rude comment. Kenma says "It's hard to set the ball for you because you're so sloppy." We also get Kuroo saying "Lev, you're putting too much force into it."
Luckily, the original argument here is whether or not Kageyama would've fared any better (or "nailed it" as it were), and rather conveniently Kenma follows that up by saying "It's not like I'm Karasuno's setter," with the implication that he would've done just that, or perhaps that just maybe there is some difference in skill between the two.

Again, because Hinata has a consistent swing, it allows Kageyama to precisely calculate his movement, which allows him to put the ball at the destination of the swing. However, with how sloppy Lev swings there's no way for Kageyama to just nail it right away.
Kenma eventually nailed it, so Kageyama would do so much faster. However, the discussion that Sarah brought up was whether or not Kageyama would nail it right away, which he would not have. That's my point.

I have a weight of 260 pounds, which lets other people think that I am an very uncoordinated person - but as soon as I am running away from them (on the field in my sports) or moving around some obstacles in real life or move myself on a dance floor or similar things, everyone is surprised how well coordinated a "fat" person can be.

But it MASSIVELY resembles a game series called Monster Hunter. 10/10 game, would highly recommend - it's one of my favorites

Heyy Sarah and Adam, i would like to give you a recommendation to react The First Slam Dunk Movie by Takehiko Inoue. It's one of the best sports manga and anime of all time. This show is on same level with Haikyuu and maybe arguably better than Haikyuu. In fact, the author of Haikyuu was inspired by Takehiko Inoue (Slam Dunk Writer's). The animation is on another level, It's very good at giving the impression of real basketball movements. More importantly, I want to know from athlete perspective about The First Slam Dunk Movie. I hope you read this and make my wish come true 🙏🤞. Thank You
