Doom 64 was an amazing game that never got the love it truly deserved! It was less comical, had a Quake feeling to it, and was much edgier than the old dos version.
Doom 64 is more akin to PSX Doom than the PC Doom. Similar moody lighting and dark ambient soundtrack by the same artist. It was Midway games that made both PSX Doom and Doom 64.
You've done gods'- or satans work depending on how you look at it. Finally have a reason to try doom 64 now, thank you good modder. Edit: Also flesh wizards are a pleasant surprise addition. Those things scare the crap outta me whenever they show up in wads.
very nicely done never truly finished original doom 64 i also never touched brutal 64 i tried brutal doom but i def try this one seem challenging the monster actually put a sense of fear in you
Wow, I never believed it was possible to recreate the N64 style demons but this is really awesome. Some of the new designs like the Archvile for example with is four arms look very believable and totally feels like a design choice they would go for. I want to know how they recreated this style.
I'm enjoying this version but the only thing I can't seem to get over or ignore is the high volume of the flies on the dead sprites. They buzz really loud and it gets annoying after a while. It's there any option to lower the volume of that specifically?? Edit: thanks for working on this mod, you really did good. 🤘🏼
@@stevenconnell4222 Okay. This just looks so great - an unofficial update to Brutal Doom 64 with more Demons and other stuff, it looks so fun to watch gameplay of.
This is what happens when people just leave stuff lying around I guess ! It does make sense for the undead to have access to the full range of the UAC weaponry. I mean if they just gave everyone just upto the power of a chaingun then no wonder they kept being overrun by demons :)
Currently the monsters only version is still at V2.5, so only the normal and nightmare monsters are added. Once the new monster lineup is finished, I will update the monsters only.
@@stevenconnell4222 Well, some people like to think of the Doom 64 Pain Elemental as its own species because of how radically different it is from the original and one thing I've heard them refer to it as is Agony Elemental. I thought to myself and even deadlier version might be called Agony Elemental rather than Nightmare Elemental. The very first time I ever heard Agony Elemental was when one guy misspoke during a Let's Play of Doom 64. When he was playing Outpost Omega he accidentally said Elementals instead of Lost Souls. Then realizing his mistake and that he was imagining a monster that could spawn Pain Elementals, he said that kind of creature might be called an Agony Elemental. It's shortly after the 19-minute mark: ua-cam.com/video/jaqHZ8aqlQY/v-deo.html
@@HermaphroGynandro As per your advice, I have renamed the Nightmare Elemental to the Agony Elemental. It's a fitting name and a natural step up from pain to agony.

how do i find this ive played brutal doom 64 loads and ive never found anything like this
@@Spaghettiest, This update was until recently relatively unknown.
I'm really impressed the new content maintains the original art design but is still clearly new content and some imported sprite or palette swap.
I'm impressed by the new monsters that were added to this game.

Just discovered D64ifier and this build of BD64. Now I have a reason to play old Doom again.
The thing looks fantastic.
A Zombie Super Shotgunner was actually smart to create, a Zombie BFG soldier is just scary. The Thing looks terrifying in the mod as well
Fragile, but extra potent if left alive
Glass cannon enemies are cool to have because you can get away with placing more of them and they’re easy to prioritise.
BFG Zombies... literally Doom's answer to Halo 1's Rocket Flood.
I never knew this existed! I'm downloading this mod as soon as i get home! Thank you for the impressive work!!!
Wow! Props to you, man. You are making Doom 64 better than ever. Your mod was pretty good but this update seems it is gonna make it incredible!
I found funny what forgotten one makes the same screams as shang tsung from mk1 when he releases three burning skulls
Those revamped monster designs look awesome
That is the revenant we deserved in this game at launch. It looks perfect here
Thank Dr Pyspy. He did the sprites. I just added bits on top (gore and extra death animations)

They are indeed! The good thing about the ramdom monster spawners is that you can pretty much tailor your difficulty level.

I never thought that you would make a Creature called The Thing in this Game! Awesome though!! 🤯
It would be nice if we could use the new enemies but without any of the other stuff.
