Yep and I had to build mine backwards and put the casters on the other end otherwise I couldn't put the roll of wire in my welder my tanks are in the way
I would have used a rivnut/nutsert when lowering that bottle holder. I'd feel much better having that positive attachment and not relying on just a self tapper. Otherwise looks like a good cart, I'd have one if I had the room for one. I just have the small Chicago Electric welding cart.
yes if I were holding a large bottle in place I would have used the nutserts. The small Chicago Electric cart is the one that I'm replacing for the Vulcan, it has been a great little cart.

Hello Martin, I too picked up the Protig 205 a few months back. Upgrades include CK touches and SSC foot pedal (super smooth setup). Loving this machine.
Hello, just curious if you could tell me the dimensions of the surface that holds the machines. Harbor freight dimensions include the bottle shelf. I want to see if it will fit my 3 machines. Thanks
Thank you for sharing the assembly experience. I enjoyed how you articulated your thought process as you went along. Like another commenter, I am also curious about your experience with the Vulcan TIG welder.

Yeah it's always something isn't.
Thank you for watching.
how did you get the cab unlocked to get the keys
The keys should be with all the hardware. Which should be in that bottom larger drawer.
Can you build it left handed? ie bottle rack on other side?
No, I don't think so. Thanks for watching.
where were your keys located???
with the bag of hardware.
No rubber mat for the top
yeah, it should have come with a rubber mate.

It’s stupid that the drawers don’t lock they should definitely be able to be locked
the lack of locks didn't bother me, I never lock my tool boxes.

Its not that hard to install locks in them.

How is that foot pedal different compared to the Vulcan one?
@@martinbuilt way smoother than the Vulcan pedal. Arc light up is very crisp
@@Irukandji01 I may have to look into that. Didn't know the pedal could affect how starts-up.
could give me the part number for the pedal, thank you.

I like everything about it but would rather have the bottom "door" on the top for grinders etc.
What are the dimensions of the cart? (height and width)
very nice Martin, thats a great piece of kit for your workshop...excellent.
Thank you, it's been working out great.

The top surface area is 34.5 inches wide and 20 1/8 inches deep.
hi matin..... those machines are new !!

Hey, Martin, would you review the welder? I'm considering...
Great review! Where did you find a 10mm socket?
from my tool box, I even have several to choice from.
