  • Vladimir Putin is officially in the running for his fifth term in office ahead of next spring's Russian elections, solidifying his hold on power until at least 2030. In a race where the winner is almost guaranteed, Putin will be re-elected in March - but what could he lose in the process?
CORRECTION (Dec. 14, 2023): A previous version of this video incorrectly stated at 3:56 that Dmitry Medvedev is Russia's current prime minister. In fact, he held that role until 2020. The video has been edited to remove that part. A clip at 7:48 was also edited out because the broll did not match the audio.

Too little has been said about the Russian opposition, inside or outside Russia, I understand that it has no real power, but opposition sentiments are strong in Russia, I would not advise trusting the Levada Center, as people are very afraid to answer such calls, and those who answer often lie for their safety, and as a result, about twenty percent of those who received a call respond, in fact, the absolute majority of Russians do not have clear views on Putin and even on the war, and do not believe that something can be fixed, but speaking of politically active people, the number of anti-war and pro-war Russians is almost equal, according to my observations. I would also recommend watching videos from channel 1420 to understand the general mood inside Russia, although it is worth noting that very few people even answer their interviews.

When the CBC says that Dimitri Medvedev is still the prime Minister of Russia you know what to do about their Britain government claim that 300 000 Russian soldiers were killed in Ukraine even though only 180 000 Russian troops were sent to Ukraine.
No I did not make a mistake in the numbers. Only about 180 000 Russian soldiers were sent to Ukraine, of which only half of them were fighting men. The other were support staff.
Most fighting men were sent back to Russia in May 2022 and replaced by irregular forces like the Kublai Cossaks, Chechen fighters, Wagner and local Ukranian militias of Russian decent.
These irregular forces are the ones doing the bulk of the fighting in Ukraine.
The vast majority of the Russian regular forces are back in Russia.
There are pro western Russian liberals doing research in Russia on behalf Western news agency.
These people are checking obituaries, knocking on every door in Russia, harassing the families of Russian servicemen and women all across Russia to calculate how many Russian soldiers have died in Ukraine and the maximum number they were able to get was around 38 000 casualties both wounded and dead.
Far far off the 300 000 dead claimed by the British, the same people who claimed Iraq had Weapons of mass destruction.
Russia invaded Eastern Ukraine and basically sat there, built trenches, dragons teeth fortifications, mine field covered by layers of artillery fire killing field and took defensive positions while waiting for Ukrainian soldiers to throw themselves at them to be impaled by Russian artillery and scorched by Russian air power.
And yet you want to tell us that Russia lost 300 000 soldiers when they enjoy complete air superiority in Eastern Ukraine.
They outnumber Ukranian artillery 7 to 1, in many cases 10 to 1. They outnumber Ukranians in drones 6 to 1 and are fighting a defensive war from well protected trenches.
    Yeah right 🤣
And by the way, you CBC clowns the second most popular party in Russia with the second largest support base after Putin's United Russia are the communists.
So go ahead and ask for Putin to step down and you will see what will happen to Ukraine when the communists take over Russia again.
You better thank your lucky stars Putin is in Charge of Russia.
In Russia Putin is a moderate.
He is actually the most pro western leader Russia will ever have.
He wanted good relations with the West but you kept on pushing NATO expansion down his throat towards Russia's borders which are a direct threat to a country that lost 27 million people in WWII to another coalition of countries who wanted to destroy it.
What do you think when the communists would do to Ukraine and NATO if ever took power in Russia again.

    • @rbesfe
      @rbesfe 5 місяців тому

If Russia enjoys complete air superiority why do their jets keep getting shot down? And why can't they establish that superiority across an area bigger than their small air defense network? Desert Storm was more than 30 years ago and Russia still can't match that level of expertise and operational efficiency.

    • @danwelterweight4137
      @danwelterweight4137 5 місяців тому +9

@@rbesfe Are you telling me that the US did not achieve air superiority over Vietnam during the Vietnam War and Germany in WWII?
Cause the US lost 2,251 aircraft: 1,737 to hostile action during the Vietnam War.
The US and the Allies also got thousands and thousands of warplanes shot down over Germany .
Air superiority doesn't mean you don't lose any warplanes. It means you deny the enemy's airforce the ability to operate freely over the area of conflict.
Ukraine is much larger than Iraq.
      Ukraine actually has S-300.
      Iraq has S-125.
Russian drones, cruise and ballistic missiles can do the job it's warplanes can do without putting warplanes at risk.
While the US bombed Iraq, Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia indiscriminately without any concern for civilians.
40% of the Ukrainian population is Ethnic Russian
Therefore, Russian forces are under strict orders from Putin to minimize mass casualties on the civilian population of Ukraine.
That is why Russia killed 12x less children in the entire 2 years of war in Ukraine than Israel killed in 2 months bombing Gaza.
Furthermore, barely any Russian jets are getting shot down. It's Ukranian jets that are being blown up and are unable to fly throughout much of their own country
Plus Ukraine is much much bigger than Iraq.
The Russian air force is concentrating it's operations in the areas around the contact line between Russian and Ukranian forces and using ballistic, cruise and drones to hit deep inside Western Ukraine.
The Russian military is fighting this war with 2 hands behind its back.
They don't even see this conflict as a war.
If the Russian military saw this as war all the Satellites and telecommunications aiding Ukraine would have been shut down or shut off a long time ago z together with all the water and electricity in Ukraine.
KIEV would have been carpet bombed like Allepo 2016 and Grozny in 1999.
Zelensky is living in the presidential palace meeting world leaders on the daily basis using easily traceable telecommunications devices.
. You think the Russians don't know where he is?
You think the Russians can't get to him.
If Russia considered this a war he would have been dead on day 1.
Again Kiev and all Ukranian major cities would have been carpet bombed into a mood crater the same way Israel is carpet bombing Gaza.
All of Ukranian economic and industrial capacity would have been target and destroyed and so would it's population centers.
Russian artillery and the Russian air force would have just be bombing Ukraine for the sake of the total destruction of Ukraine WWII style
That is how Russia conducts war.
This is not even a war to Russia.

Dabble in regime change and take your risks, for when the US deep state feels you might no longer adequately serve their interests.
Navalny's support was never more than low single digits.
As Kissinger said: Being an enemy of the US is dangerous, being a friend can be fatal.
Ask Zelensky how that "friendship" with the US is going.
Opportunistic Realists might say the "The enemy of my enemy is my friend". Maybe, For a while.
A better way to look at such is: You can't always tell your friends for the enemies they make, but you can always tell your enemies from the friends they keep.
Navalny is most assuredly in the later group. Look at who has been championing Navalny and what their track record is for honesty, fairness, a truly free press and so on.
Actually, Zelensky got an honorable mention in the Panama Papers. If he gets out with his head still on his shoulders, he should do OK.

They pushed this narrative and closed bank accounts for people that even donated. Justifying them their rights under our regular laws. Then the news justified them being trampled by police horses. Then the media pretended that it never happened and everything the truckers requested happened eventually. No apology from the media or government.

The last Russian election was 2018. The last Canadian election was in 2021 and the next will be in 2025. Canadian election schedules are more flexible, but there's a limit of 5 years and it's not always that long. Russia has 6 year terms.

Is that right... Either way the Russian election turn, we preempt ourselves the opportunity to interpret. Smart.. Because in the changing world we may need the flexibility....March 2024 is still in March next year, isn't it... and that, in (Geo)political life could be a lot of heads...??

What’s the difference between imprisoning and debanking the people when they disagree with their elected leader. After all, they are both punitive measures against dissidents.

You are not very awake! For over three weeks, the so-called Freedom Convoy occupied a street in front of the Canadian parliament with their big trucks. The Canadian government invoked the Emergencies Act. Then, banks have temporarily frozen the accounts of some organizers of the protest. This was not business as usual, but something that had never happened before in Canada. Plus, the Public Order Emergency Commission was put into force to inquire into the circumstances that led to the declaration of the Emergencies Act. Even the Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was sat in front the Commission and questioned on this matter.
