In these Wanted Dead Or Alive guitar lesson videos you will learn the whole song in it's entirety.
Along with the classic 12 string acoustic guitar intro that everyone instantly recognizes, I also demonstrate the intro of the song with all the sitar type effects and harmonics.
From there we will also cover how to play the verse and chorus of the song and try to help you understand all the little different ways they may play those parts throughout the song.
I wrap up these Wanted Dead Or Alive guitar lesson videos in the second video with a quick tutorial on how to play the solo. The solo is pretty straight forward and shouldn't be much of a challenge, especially if you already have a good grip on how to play pinch harmonics.
By the way, if you don't know how to play pinch harmonics yet, just check out my lesson on how to play pinch harmonics on the guitar .
I teach this entire Wanted Dead Or Alive lesson on a 6 string acoustic even though the original recording is on a 12 string acoustic. Don't' worry about that, the song still sounds great on just 6 strings and if you do have a 12 string acoustic just play it like I do in the video to make it sound like the original. The playing doesn't change, only the sound.
Hope you guys enjoy these Wanted Dead Or Alive guitar lesson videos. Let me know if you wanna see some more Bon Jovi on this site.

The best most comprehensive lesson on this song I have watched so far. You don't just gloss over the important areas, you really go into depth which makes it a lot easier to learn. Thanks'

Hey Carl. I don't know if you remember me. I was a paid subscriber on your website until I had to quit because I got multiple sclerosis. Well I am back! I have symptoms that affected my hands but I picked up my guitar again and am trying to compensate for the lack of dexterity with my fingers.
I resubscribed to the UA-cam channel to see if I can play half decently at least. If I do ok I will sign up again as a paid member on your website. I hope this post is viewed as encouragement not to lose faith when given challenges. You can always find a way to work around it

This was amazing. The other day, I was with a Scottish pipe band, playing "Auld Lang Syne" at a Celtic fest in Carbondale, Colorado. When I had the stage all to myself, up there with my electric and my mic, I couldn't help but veer away from the soft, calm sound of the classic Scottish song I was supposed to be playing to a half improv version of this song. I had my own private little jam session, right then and there... or so I thought. The band was 2 blocks away, warming up, and when they came to the performance tent, my dad (who's the drum major) told me he could hear me from 2 blocks away. I was slightly embarrassed that I didnt actually know how to play the intro and that everyone within a 2 block radius heard me winging it on the intro 😂 so I knew I had to look up how to play it.
Thank you so much Carl, this has really done a lot for me! You teach so well!!!!

I like to play this song in Drop D tuning. I know that's not how this song is played but I like the sound of whenever there is an F chord, I hit the F5 bar on the 6-5 strings or hit the 3rd fret of the 6th string and bend that note up a little bit, and whenever there is a G chord, I do either a G5 bar or a G/B chord. I just like the sound in that tuning.

    Hey Carl,
I was learning this song on a lesson and it was ok but just didn't sound like the recording ( yes this happens often lol ), great tutorial man.
Your song videos are great an thorough so I finally decided to join your academy with the New Years sale you promoted and thus far it's pretty good. I'm finally learning the 5 poitions of the major pentatonic and learning to connect them and I'll slowly go through all the courses in sequence here, looking forward to it and thanks for all you do.
