  • Is Druze Food Palestinian 🇵🇸 or Israeli? 🇮🇱 - Today, I take you to a Druze village at Daliay Al-Karmel. Druze are a small and secretive ethnic and religious minority which is very interesting. I have walked this street in Druze village to show you this beautiful place. I also visited restaurants that were recommended to me by a local and I must say Druze people and food never disappoint!

From the Dates (one variety resurrected from 2000 year old date seeds), to the pomegranates, figs, pistachios, honey, the fish, doves, etc. Perhaps you could find someone who forages in Israel, go out with some fisherman. About the holy land. all crop are somehow accurate , however Pistachios, even though grow there, are practically non existent, a pistachio Tree is normally crafted from a wild( Botom tree-don’t known the actual name in english) ….which is in severe decline.
As for Foraging, it could be done….
but the best season would be around April…..Fish of the mediterranean is abit different, the most famous would be kinds like ( Denise Fish, and Sultan Ibrahim) . Honey’s are still amazing and unique. Dates are unfortunately reduced to one variety, which is the Medjoul dates . Real varieties are actually in Saudi Arabia or Iraq. pomegranates are still amazing and unique as well …now is the season . Figs are also Amazing , there are at least 16 different kinds , and i know the name and taste of all of them, now is the end of the season .
you forgot to mention Apricots, Olive trees ,Cactus Pears and most importantly Citrus and Oranges ( season just starting ) . Oranges in the Holy land are just freaking Outstanding ..esp that ( Shammouty Variety) .
