I had this Jasmine doll as a kid. I was so attached to her! I’ve been re-collecting all the 90s disney princess dolls i had and I now have a decent collection of about 7 of her dolls. ❤ love what you did with both of their hair! ❤❤❤

This is the condition I usually get my dolls in, but it’s so very satisfying in the end after the dolls have a complete overhaul. Love every minute of breathing new life back into a doll that was once heavily loved by a someone else.

Next time just soak it in dawn dish soap for 3 days straight and it will come out like magic. I did it with Ms. Heart and was able to keep the original hair style too
I shampoo, condition, boil wash, brush, and then a liquid fabric softener soak. Fabric softener helps with synthetic hair.💋

Ahh I use synthetic hair conditioner used for wigs. Fabric softener damages synthetic hair 😬😬😬😬
@@Zathena I like the way it takes the static clean away and leaves it scented. I’m using it on my dolls not my wigs hunty💋.
Arian, I use ice water to peel off melted rubber bands from soaked hair, I apply her hair with fabric softener or hair conditioner to comb leftover pieces off before you wash her hair with dish soap.

Hi, Arjen. If I may give a tip about stubborn stuck-on rubber bands, next time you could use Oxyclean or Oxyclean alternative and just soak the doll in it for a period of time and I believe it would loosen the rubber bands really well, without having to use a knife or other potentially damaging techniques. So far no doll of mine suffered facepaint loss with this method. Do note that if the doll has any metallic jewellery or accessories, they should be removed as Oxyclean eats metallic paint away. The ladies turned out amazing either way though!

When i do kanekalon i use a brush for the bulk of the detangling and only use a comb at the very end.

I got hot glue stuck in a doll’s hair. I got it out with hair conditioner and a flea/lice comb. That was nylon hair I was dealing with though.
Ah good old nylon, our friend 😌🩷 haha Kanekalon is literally your enemy in these situations haha 😂🩷 thankfully people are sharing their knowledge here! 🙌🏻
They are supercute!! I love old Mattel Jasmine dolls. I just got mine (Water Jewel Magic) a few weeks ago and I think I ruined a bit her hair boiling with water too hot. I still need to learn a lot about different types of doll hair and how to treat them.

We had a Jasmine doll incident! 🫣 I let my kiddo play with my dolls bc then we play together and build wonderful memories 🥰 Her neck broke (I mean she is older but still fabulous) and I wanted your opinion on a replacement body.
I don’t mind MTM or a differently articulated doll body. I’ve been taking her into stores with me trying to match her but she’s got a reddish undertone 🫤 really will treasure your opinion! 🦻

Is Miko missing a hair plug at the hairline? if so this would be great practice for you to start rerooting I find it therapeutic, helped me through really dark times a lot.
