Great job man, I'm following your tips for my first even 7 challenge win, pharma and forbidden scrolls not taken ( trying to reach 1M points ). Currently at caves, floor 13, warden, got ring of haste ( currently at +5 ), switfness armor, +2 disintegration, +2 prismatic light, cursed corrosive and crossbow, so I got everything I need to win. My plan is to put upgrade scrolls in disintegration, some in corrosion and maybe 1 or 2 more in haste. Wish me luck :D
I think +5 for Haste is enough to outrun everything. If you have a wand of corrosion I would upgrade that since it allows you to deal with many enemies at once. Good luck!
@@roguelikespixels thanks, I fucked it up, unfortunately. Floor 19, discovered summoning trap room and I thought I need some XP ( was barely lvl 20 at that time ). Instead of throwing food at door I accidentally threw it 1 step further, thus I triggered the room before filling it up with corrosion. The whole floor got screwed up, too many golems at full HP and I was in panic mode. I probably could've survived ( I had 8 healing potions, healing from them was nullified by golem melees though, I also had some paralyze darts and phase shifts but I panicked ) but I didn't. In hindsight I shouldn't have triggered that room, it's far too dangerous, even with a good setup. I was very confident in finishing the run, dwarf king was my only worry. However I've learned a lot, next time I get good sewers I should be able to comfortably do 7 challenge run.
Wow amazing. I learned a few things too, especially the psionic blast and mind vision trick. That's OP. Im not sure if you knew, but you had a lot of wands, you could have turned the extra ones into arcane resin to upgrade the ones you want to use. Appreciate the vid man
Nice to see that warrior is getting some attention on 9chal. I main berserker and am currently working my way up with challenges, beat 7chal and am working on 8chal (everything except runes) and have recently beaten DM-300 for the first time with it. Faith is my armor makes it rather difficult but it's fun to see how tanky you can really get with it enabled. Do you plan on ever doing a 9chal berserker run and do you think that berserker is even viable?
The warrior class is the hardest in my opinion to do a 9-challenge. I've only done it a few times and only when I got some speed modifying items + good artifacts. Haven't tried berserker yet but its abilities rely on strong armor and taking damage - both of which you normally avoid with all challenges enabled. Let me know if it somehow works though!
It's sort of about getting just the right equipment to survive. With a good setup though I've found myself actually being able to consistently enrage. It's difficult but I am making progress on beating 8chal with him. If I ever manage a 9chal I'll be sure to record it
I'd probably go with crush rather than fury for weapons this low level weaponry, since the armour is really proving to be a problem, and making it so you only have the armour block against one attack rather than 10+ probably is going to do more damage. Except for Yog. He doesn't seem to have any armour to speak of.
I probably should get into the habit of augmenting armor more often. Though I think evasion might be even better if we're trying to avoid getting hit. Will have to try it out next time.
@@roguelikespixels If I were you, I'd save the haste potion instead of the spear after using the ankh. With the armor skill, I would jump and reach my bag. Hiding the potion in haste saved my life once but I died right after I got my bag :D
@@roguelikespixels I'm sorry dude, I wrote increase defense by mistake, yes you should increase evasion, I don't want to mislead you. Sometimes I get confused when translating from Turkish to English :D

It is a struggle to beat the game regularly

That psionic blast - mind vision combo is a lifesaver! I beat my first game after 90 tries and yes i hate scorpions

Oh, you threw a fire potion at it? I usually chuck a toxic gas potion in when I need to use resources to take a spawner down.
Maybe I enjoy setting things on fire too much. Haven't thought of trying Toxic Gas, will give it a go next time

I have a question why don't you upgrade your armor with augment stone as defense? 0-7 blocking does nothing.
