Duelist: So anyway, I started missing
It's also nice to read a scroll of Magic Mapping when you first get on a level instead of after you've already finished exploring it.
You missed on the sleeping enemy because your scimitar is too heavy. You cant surprise attack if your str isnt high enough
Duelist has been pretty great. I've gotten down to Tengu on 9 challenge already. Lunge ability states that is always hits. Also, you can lunge through any closed door or non-visible space by clicking on the unknown space.

Agreed, it's really fun to target enemies through the dark. Too bad it doesn't work with the spear :(
things I've learned today:
> running through doors and grass to refresh burn
> purity to remove hunger specially usefull on challenge runs

I find the duelist pretty hard to master, but still interesting whatsoever.
Fire wand... good cimetar... lot of good food... lucky alchemy... good glyph... good spear... You play well even if here you made some mistake. But so much luck is hard to reproduce ! :-D
I love the steam version of this game and I highly recommend learning the basic key bindings. After some time it'll feel really natural and I think it's even more playable than on mobile. Great stuff
damn ive been trying duelist 9 challenges since the god damn patreon alpha and i just cant do it, how tf do you already have it done
Duelist is interesting to say the least. But the early game is very rng. Every other class has something to carry them through the early game. The Warrior has the broken seal, The Mage has his staff, The Rouge has the cloak and The Huntress has the bow. But the duelist doesn't have anything. I can't imagine doing a 9 challenge run with duelist. I can't even do a 7 challenge, even though I can do 6 challenges with ease.
The duelist has weapon talents which are incredibly powerful. The rapier lunge is guaranteed to hit and gives +67% damage, its nuts.

It gets kinda redundant. And the talents are strong yes, but not in the early game.
The duelist is not finished yet anyway. Maybe Evan can add some special item to the duelist that carries her through early game
@@t-flop5152 I highly doubt she will get any changes of that kind of scale, if anything else gets changed it will likely only be numbers again. Anyways her early game is already strong

Missing that sleeping enemy was due to you not meeting the strength requirements of the scimitar at the time.
Oh you're absolutely right. Still comical to think about though :)
i have really enjoyed the duelist already won a couple of games with her, her current kit seems to have a few things id love to see added i think she should have something she can attack to weapons like the how the warrior can with armour Mabey the duelist's charm or something like that. That way every character can have an item special to them (charm, wand, cloak, bow)

Dude, how do you play so casually? When I lose a lot of hp in a game (max 10-15 hp :D) or make a small wrong click, I delete the dungeon that gave me 2 rings and 1 artifact from the first floors. How can you stay calm and finish the game?
lmao I definitely do that sometimes if I make a big mistake on floor 1 or 2. I guess the calmness comes with dying thousands of times knowing you can always try again :)

Are you using a specific seed at all?
The floor icon in the top right turns from gray to green when a specific seed is used. if it is gray it is a random seed.

I still havent gotten past prison with duelist bruh.
I mean flow or speed is not so OP on sweres but if you will use this one prison with spear i will explode your house
pls dont tell me that you drop that sack of water because it affects dmg from electrisity on you...
I kind of disagree about content with the glyph of flow. obviously variety is the spice of life, but I wouldn't mind seeing more movement based builds. Especially now with voice overs.
Glad you don't mind, after this duelist run I'll go back to experimenting again.
