I agree. It could also use some major quality of life upgrades as well. Things like setting a quick button for attachment swaps, consumable item usage. That final boss fight needs a complete redesign! But a very cool game that was ahead of its time and very deserving of a refresh.
I saw this game featured in the Electronic Gaming Monthly Magazine in 2001. Extermination is like Sony's version of the Thing. Still one of the best horror games on the PS2.
