Love the GR Supra and Morgan. Crazy good for mainline models. They absolutely nailed the proportions of the Supra, and the execution of the decos on the Morgan truly captures the essence of the car.
Like the Morgan the most. I have an old Majorette 1980s model (it lost the canopy roof), but I would love one of these to go with my Jag XK150s & Healey models. Looking forward to the Mercedes 230SL to go with my Superfast versions.
Holy cow, that Supra is divine! I honestly hope it gets the Collector's treatment! I have long wanted a stock version of this since Mini GT dropped its drift specials years ago! I also liked the Fast and Furious version that Hot Wheels debuted some years back but this looks even better than that!
I think the Astra might actually be my favourite. I'm not an Opel fan by any means, but the proportions of the casting are spot on looks more like a premium model than a dollar toy. The Morgan is a close second, but it just loooks a little too big and it's almost impossible to avoid the elephant in the room which is the thick windscreen that plagues every recent cabriolet model. I seem to recal the plastic being thinner on some older MBX models, the 1990 casting of the Mercedes-Benz SL 500 comes to mind when I think of a well done cabriolet windscreen.
I completely agree with you about the basic, everyday driver's cars that you see on the street being infinitely more exciting when you see it in die cast replica form. I saw a 2019 Subaru Forester the other day from Matchbox and I was blown away by the accuracy. That's some kid's parent's car and they'd be ecstatic to play with the car they ride around in every day. I know when I was younger I was very sad to learn that no one made a 1993 Mazda Protege sedan die cast because I learned to drive on that car and wanted to keep it in my life even after we had to junk it.
Whoever designed the Supra model got it just right on the detail and scale as it looks even better in real life,plus we got front and rear tampos.Been a good year for Matchbox with plenty of well executed everyday common vehicles which other brands neglect.
We got the Opel Astra as a Saturn Astra in the 00's. That Morgan Plus 4 is based on a modern version (2020's). Though the name Plus 4 has been around since the 50's, that body style has been around since the late 60's.
I’m glad most people will be overlooking the Opel. Supra might be a bit difficult to find. I’ll definitely be grabbing extras of both models. Surprisingly I’m not as excited for the Supra as I thought I would be. Maybe it’s the color, yellow or red and I’ll be more excited.
AMC Eagle was one of my favorite Matchbox castings from last year. So much detail to customize. Been waiting for another color. Looks like this time they tampoed on the window sill lining. Less for me to customize, but it looks great. Loving that Morgan Plus 4. That detail on the front end is fantastic. McLaren Spyder looks great in that shade of purple. Toyota looks nice. Love the gold rims. Matchbox getting the nice chrome rims ,and Hot Wheels getting the dull grey ones. What's up with that?
NPC cars of matchbox are the best love them Also love I found a macan super chase the other day my first ever was super happy This year is best I've done for hunting so far it's only been the BMW 507 super and the Porsche macan super chase but I love them super happy can't complain hopefully I can find more I've never found before hopefully this is a turning point lets go
Bronco. Perfect proportions and has the same goofy stance that the original Bronco had (tall, tiny wheels, looks like its sagging in the rear). Great replacement for that terrible mudder 70's Bronco they had used previously.
Yes. Hey matchbox, that rear axle on the Chevy truck is too far back. Greenlight has the same issue with their new ram the 1980s ram. How do these manufactures make that mistake?

Wapiti 4 Wheel Drive from Vigilanti 8 2nd Offence was based on the AMC, and had one of the top coolest specials in the game.

What I've noticed is some of the Hot Wheels and Matchbox are using lighter and cheaper material you can tell by the feel of them
