Acceleracers Lore: Back in 2003 for the 35th anniversary of Hot Wheels, Mattel released “Highway 35 World Race.” This was a collection of 35 cars, 5 teams, 7 cars in each team, they were all specially decorated etc. Mostly unlicensed castings but there were some licensed models in the mix. There was a 4 episode mini series to go along with this, which was later compiled into a 1-1.5 hour movie. The Deora 2 was the car driven by the main character in the film, it was part of the “Wave Rippers” team. Fast forward to 2005, Acceleracers came out, which was a sequel to Highway 35 world race. It was a 4 movie long series, same main character, the Deora 2 made a come back with that livery you see there on the NFT and Mainline. There were 36 diecast released with Acceleracers, all unlicensed castings, all of which made their debut in the Acceleracers. However, the Teku Deora 2 was never released in tandem with this, so seeing it released all these years later is really nice. So yeah, thats the story behind Acceleracers.
Also worth noting the final Acceleracers movie left us on a huge cliffhanger and we never got a sequel (not counting Battle Force 5). A lot of the diecast cars were cut short with some of the most desirable models in the series (Reverb, Spectyte, Piledriver) were the ones in the final cases that were never distributed to stores since there was a backstock of the earlier releases.
Paired with that carry overs from the last case, this is by far (for me) the best case I’ve ever seen from Hot Wheels. 20 cars in total that I would add to my collection.
You gotta keep up with your TH's. Car D-Asada slipped right through you. 🤪Crazy colors. I'll have to hunt that one down ,cuz I'm skipping this case ,and going straight for M case. Many of us will order this case just for the Deora II. I'll still get my Deora II, and Deora III partner car in the M case . In face it has two Deora II in the case. Mattel has gotta rerelease all the Acceleracers cars for the fans. Anyway, M case also has Pagani Utopia, best looking Audie Avant ever, 5 Alarm, Tanknator, Chevy Silverado, and my beloved Muscle Firebird. I give this case a B, because there is a chance I would find the STH in the stores, but I'll be giving the upcoming M case an A.

As someone who religiously watched Hotwheels Highway 35 and Acceleracers as a kid growing up, although the Deora II isn't 100% accurate (the NFT one is pretty much spot on), I'm just EXTREMELY happy it exists at all. Def a mainline I'll be grabbing a ton of if I can When Acceleracers was being released, and specifically with regards to the toys, the Deora II in the Teku deco as seen in the show was never released as apart of the Acceleracers line (same with Sling Shot), so this help fulfills like that childhood wish of mine
So sad They did not get the "Team Cooper Van" a brand new Hot Wheels Car yet I'm still waiting for it Including the "Corvette C5.R"😔 It's okay that they still have other upcoming vehicles with any cool ideas! And so cool to see Mazda 787B! I have the Blue one that has my color signature! Along with the racing truck pick-up Ford Maverick!😺
I've only found the A-D case supers in the wild so far and the Mercedes is my favorite but I have to have the El Camino because I'm a huge El Camino guy and that Firebird is fire so if I don't get lucky enough to find them in the wild I'm going to have to break down and buy them. I've been collecting for a little over 3 years and only this year have I been lucky enough to find any supers and I told myself I wasn't going to start spending a lot of money buying supers on the secondary market until I've found enough in the wild to justify spending the money. Since the Mercedes is worth a good bit on it's own then I don't feel bad spending money on a couple. The El Camino will be fairly cheap and it probably won't go up much in value throughout the years but that Firebird will be a great investment if I can get a decent deal on it. But I'm going to hold off as long as I can to make sure I don't end up finding them in the wild. We're still on E-J cases in my area.

Why some of the red mustangs say svo and some just say mustang? It’s the same casting
They are both foxbody mustangs, but the SVO was a turbo 4 cylinder from 84-86. The front grille is different and there was a double rear spoiler
