- Today we are customizing our Hot Toys Bane figure by swapping the body with a Phicen M34 body. I'll discuss if I think this is something you should do!

Much, much better. There was always something awkward about the Hot Toys body, the skinny looking legs and the head appearing too big when the coat is off. The Phicen bodies (M34/35) might not be screen accurate with their bulk and shredded look and the absence of the scarring, but there is no doubt they make this figure look more lifelike, more in proportion and considerbaly more intimidating. I wonder if anyone has tried adding scarring to the Phicen? Could it be done with a heated small sowing needle?
That’s a great question! Not sure if you’d be able to add anything to the rubber body.
Really nice mod…using baby powder helps…especially when putting on pants. Clothes slide on a lot easier. M34/35 are great to use for kitbash but I wish there were more 1/6 clothing producers that made clothes and uniforms specifically for those bodies
The trick to putting clothes on the phicen body is to use baby powder on the phicen body. It'll go on much easier.

Great vid like always brodie. My advice, you may not like it: sell this bane recuperate majority of your money and opt out for the dafttoys version. I know it’s going to be hard but I had to do it too. Dafttoys iteration is made for the phicen body and therefore has not set back in regards to the clothing.
I actually wanted the daftoys version but couldn’t find it anywhere online.

Thanks to the Phicen body your Bane figure now looks like a real person shrink to the 1/6 scale.
Just an Idea:
Why you don't make his neck a bit thicker?
That will give him even more bulkier look.

Exept the head sculpt which was pretty good, the body looked like a Quasimodo to me !

I bought a Phicen M35
The blue Superman siut from Trancedent Superman from ByArt ( the VERY BEST on the market ) and a custom angry Superman head sculpt and I built my first custom figure and frankly, I can't be more happy.

I had the tremendous luck to find the best 1/6 Lobo head sculpt from the Sideshow 1/6 Lobo figure.
Now I am going to combine that head sculpt with Phicen M35 and some accessories and clothes from DC and Marvel with the idea, that Lobo travels in both universes 😉

I believe so. It’s a slight shade darker than hot toys body
would you say that the M34 is comparable to Chris Evans' Captain America body? or too beefy? im thinking about swapping a body to get more posability
It’s comparable but might be a tad too big. Tough to say by eyeballing it.
did bane orginal body have skin like phicen ?
No it’s plastic, visible joints
Hey there! Thinking on doing this body swap myself with the S.Kings clothes kit but my HT head sculpt because I’m curious on the skin tones - how well does the hot toys sculpt fit the M34 body? And does the skin tone match up?
The skin tone doesn’t exactly match as the M34 is a darker shade. It’s not too noticeable though.
Those Hot Toys pants are still way too tight. I have the Daft Toys Bane coming so I’ll have some new baggy cargo pants.

The Hot Toys version of this figure also has the wrong eye colour.
