  • Farmers are discovering they can't continue with conventional farming practices as usual, because the negative effects have created tremendous ongoing challenges. And at the center of that important conversation is how to remain profitable and in operation while doing what's right for the soil, water, land, animals, environment, etc.
This clip is of Directors Josh and Rebecca Tickell, who were featured on Fox 40 News in Sacramento, California before Common Ground premiered at Crest Theatre on February 7th.
Regenerative Agriculture is growing, and it's adoption is so important in such an influential and important agricultural state as California. California agriculture acreage are showing signs of topsoil degradation or loss, (for many reasons) which decreases water retention and nutrients, disrupts small water cycles, could increase flood and drought risk. These are the same lands that provide a third of the country’s vegetables, nearly three-quarters of the country’s fruits and nuts, and whose farms and ranches received $55.9 billion in sales for their output in 2022.
There is hope. Stay tuned as we share more about how a California coalition alongside the CDFA is trying to define the practices, methods, theory, and science that will help #regenerativeagriculture flourish on every farm, so they can restore biodiversity and thrive.

Regenerative agriculture is about the only good thing I hear about in the world.
