Hello, I hope you're safe over there? I hope this year brings happiness, prosperity, love 💚 , and peace all over the world 🌏. I would love us to be good friends in honesty and in trust so as time goes on it will bring something great for us in the future, hope you don't mind? I'm Gabriel Wood from San Francisco, California where are you from if I may ask?
What a remarkable lady she is. I could go on listening to her conversations, which she perfects to the level of poetry with philosophical meanderings sprinkled all over. Indeed, she is a wealthy person.
Thank you Saad. And I couldn't agree more. If you want to hear more of Brigid, check out this podcast episode which contains the full interview: campfire-stories.org/brigid-lefevre-on-life-soil-and-kimchi/ Also, there's other short films on the Campfire Stories UA-cam page with her.
it went terribly wrong for us. I regret it actually. We had a wonderful project and put in a tonne of work but wrecked our health .. most of my permaculture , self sufficiency friends lived sickly lives of rural poverty. we all started out optimistic tho. even those with huge amounts of money behind them became sickly .. Camphill was floundering last time i checked .. as is the whole steiner movement. they had no nerve to stand up to covid tyranny either sadly :(
Thank you for giving me hope. Twenty-five years working on building up the wildlife ecosystem on part of my property was destroyed by the Canadian Trans Mountain Pipeline (for their temporary workspace) in less than 4 years. Just got a call from their rep who wants to remove the livestock protective fencing in order to destroy more of my property in order to "conveniently" carry out their "restorative" program. I refused. In another year they should be gone, and at the age of 69, I will start again. Thank you for giving me the will to do so.
Please start again. Don't give up your vision and hope. If governments tear down, I go into build-up mode: building my thoughts, a business, a garden, a healthy body... they can't control that❤
I'm so so sorry, this would break my heart to pieces. I become deeply attached to my plants and the land. I am sending you my support to start again! I believe this is what we are "here to do" 🙏
I hope that you are feeling more positive & hopeful in continuing with your wonderful ecological plans for your land. I am 68 this year and have been working upon my tiny plot in South Wales, UK, based upon permaculture principles.
Thank you for your resistance and persistence. I wish the circumstances were different and our government would actually care about and listen to the voices of reason. I’m almost 60 and have been using regenerative practices to create a tiny oasis. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻💚💚💚
What a beautiful person. I've never heard someone describe how they make a good living in the way she was first inclined to answer, and never, ever thought hearing the way someone else views fermenting could bring me to near tears.
right? When she was talking about the money aspects I was tearing up because she's absolutely right. There is so much more than money. You can be wealthy with food, your environment and some would call you poor. It's crazy. She's an inspiration.
A wealthy, rich life and fulfillment should not be measured in $, but rather in gratitude for our abundance of life. Joy in the people that surround us, and the sustenance that abounds. Money helps us to have that but is not the source of our happiness.
I cannot explain how much I love this film. I want to live where she grew up. Especially when she said the food should not be in the realm of the economic market is so true. Personally, I think the only reason food is controlled by the economic market is that the government want to be in control and wants US to rely on THEM. If we came toegther, and created small communities that rely on each other is what needs to happen to create a better life and healthier enviroment. This is what needs to happen to live a happier life.
Ah this is pure idealistic horse shit. How does this translate to a city like London, Tokyo or Singapore? Are they all to starve because a few people with hippy ideologies don’t want huge production. And I am a no till, regenerative grower in Ireland. Nothing wrong with doing it for yourself but are all the farmers to feed the cities for free? Idealistic nonsense I fear
Exactly, and the government certainly do not want people living in communities growing their own food and self sufficient. Here in Australia, councils make it very difficult to establish Multiple Occupancies.. they are actively abolishing land sharing legislation. They want most people in the cities where they are easier to control. I left the city early last year and live in the bush, but unfortunately there's no health centred community here.
The word ”förädlad” has two components to it: ”för”, meaning for or to make, and ”ädla” which has to do with nobless, noble values, higher state, but also deliciousness and valuable… It is such a perfect word.
Thank you for taking the time to translate this special word/phrase into English. Now I need to write this down to remind myself of what I want/need to do.
Love when she considers it carefully and says she makes a really good living. This, not working all hours for money to do nothing but work, is ACTUALLY making a living.
I love this. I'm halfway through your film, I have to comment how much I appreciate Brigid's comment that "I make a good living". From my place in the US, working a job 9-5, there's such an economic pressure on me and my peers to work so we can pay rent. It make's it hard to imagine living this way. I bet her quality of life is better than me. She seems quite happy here, and proud of her foradlad farm. Thank you for this documentary.
This video was recommended to me based on what I've been watching. I'm so thankful it was in the queue! What a beautiful soul you have captured. I had a similar childhood and also see "currency" as many things: not only finances, but family, freedom, flowers, and so on. I felt like I had 30 minutes with a friend today. Thank you, Mattias. - your new subscriber
I am totally in love with this film and everything about it. Thank you to all the beautiful people who were involved in every aspect of this amazing production, farming etc. I feel it in my soul that this is the future of humanity. Much love to all.
it has failed so miserably for all of us who tried it .. i cant say i am optimistic about it anymore. i wish i had kept a large amount of money in addition to doing this .. as long as you have backup it might not be too dreadful if it fails :(
@@mythtree6348our specific approach might have, but as we see with 3.5 billion years of nature, the systems work. Just need to know how to remove ones self from the product/consumerism mindset and work with nature not against. What felt like a gardening documentary quickly turned in a cosmic transe for me. Thank you so much! Every sentence calls for such a positive view on things. We need more gentle grounded philosophs like Brigid.
Everything about this video warms my heart inside. I have a very small garden in the suburbs of Los Angeles, and I feel these words to my core. My little garden is grown with polyculture practices sans a 4x4 garlic bed. I love it so much more this way. I see my garden as a treasure hunt and my soil is so happy with life. Earth to earth. Every bit of life is welcomed.
Bridget we are lucky to have a similar set up back at home in Ireland, it's wonderful to see one of our own go forward and do wonderful things abroad, Ireland is proud of it's sons and daughters 🇮🇪
Wonderful, sister, miss the irish accent , lived for a good while in Ireland, then felt to move back to rural România to care for a piece of land and few old villagers around us here, such an obvious, simple solution for humanity to cease its destructive madness and become harmonious, returning to nature..
Coming to this place to create this existence that is a reflection of how life was growing up..peaceful, very beautiful and bountiful .. for such a place to be the energy has so much influence…and that is the magic of the currency not $s that is the emphasis of the mega farming growing only one thing en masse..mono culture is not where the future is..bio diversity in every way possible..thankyou Bridget..❤😊❤

What an inspirational story of Regenerative agriculture from a young lady. I can't stop watching more and more people jumping onto this bandwagon of farming that holds the potential to sustain life on Earth while making food production more healthy for its people and the environment. Please keep going. :)
When you have clothes on your back food on the table and a roof over your head you are richer than most. Unfortunately many people don't realise that. Lovely film, hope it helps people change their perspective. As for house insurance personally feel it is yet another type of tax on people.
Thank you for this documentary. This is how we as humans are meant to live. We have sadly gone past this sensibility to a point of irresponsible mindlessness to the brink of point of no return.

Estou assistindo vc do Brasil. Amei a entrevista.
I walk in from a morning in my regenerative food forest and sit down and watch your delightful film on regenerative farming. There are pockets of perfection in the world. Thanks for sharing.
Watching this just made me realize how much my year in a Camphill community 11 years ago actually influenced me and completely changed my life. It took a lot of time and loads of detours but now I'm finally back on the right track that was set at that time and I'm super grateful. Thank you for this wonderful video!
Mattias,I saw your chat with Happen Films ,some time ago and have always been hoping to find you on UA-cam,well today you showed up and I was not disappointed.Your film was a joy for me.I'm Irish so I felt a closeness to Brigid, and I 'm a gardener of sorts, trying to grow regeneratively, though I struggle at the moment, the rain has increased so much here .Much success to your campfire stories and to Brigid Lefebvre, lots of love from Ireland.xx.
How inspiring, it has been almost a decade trying to go slow but you don’t realize when life accelerates you. Only when you start panting and have no choice but to pause you acknowledge your pace. Today was such a moment and serendipity led to this movie, Thank you from bottom of my heart for doing what you do.
A revelation. And so thoughtful; your simple acknowledgment of the delights and provocations of working alongside people with many different abilities fits so snugly with your embrace of diversity among your plants. Thank you.
I own and operate a permaculture based farm. She is on another level with life. Living walkway/pathway etc. Just AMAZING!! and great video!! thank you.
As I set here wallowing in the sadness of my failures, questioning the "rightness" of continuing down this permaculture/regenerative road, I am encouraged. Her life is exactly what I am hoping to build. Slanté
Yes! I so appreciate the movie, which was linked in a discussion group for folks crazy about fermenting. As a bonus, it's also about Gardening, which I love both in a natural great combo. Loving the idea of living in the fermenting kitchen with other Förädling folk! Thanks for sharing your story of upbringing and how you live now. Great example of diversity and richness.
I am back watching this a 2nd time. She amazes me. She is one of those souls who have found themselves and are grounded and happy with who they are. She pulls me in and makes me want to spend a day or 2 with her listening to her thoughts, ideas, opinions and stories
This is real poetry in motion. Thanks for this interview. The subject matter, picture, the music, the voice and lady. ...all blend to speak to the deeps.
Free market should never be forced, you'll end up without the bad things but also the good things. The rest of the documentary is awesome and beautiful
The most beautiful and refreshing film I've seen in a long while. I love seeing how some use Rudolph Steiners remedies on their lands. Thanks for introducing us to Brigid and biodynamics.
Truly beautiful, Irish indeed hold ancestral knowledge of the mechanisms of nature, our relationship to it and the sciences to learn and teach was renowned in the ancient world, wonderful film, go raibh maith agat 🙏
You are wealthy because you have everything you need on hand. You do not need money to buy food because you already have food on hand and is readily available in your place. I'm dreaming to set up the same soon. I admire you.
How about clothes and shelter and health insurance and trips to visit her sister? Where does (did) all that money come from to set up this idyllic lifestyle to begin with?
That video healed my soul! Feeling so similar to her and I WISHED I would have been grown up in that community she describes. I would have been grown so much more into the person I meant to be. Thank you for that inspiration 🌿🍀🧡🧡🧡
This film tuched me deeply in my heart. What she told how she lived in Irland, thats my future world. Beautiful to heare her deepest thoughts. Thank you ❤
I'm almost crying because she's living the life I want. When she talks about wealth that's when I started to tear up. There's so much more than money in this world. How fortunate she was to grow up in the community she did. That sounds beautiful. What a moving and wonderful film, I wish it was longer because I could listen to her talk forever. What an inspiration ❤️❤️❤️

When people ask: Can you make a living from this? We have to be bold & courageous....... I am alive, never die. Thankyou for making this inspired film. How I feel her fulfillment and satisfaction in life....... without $$$$
This is very interesting- Im extremely fortunate to be in a similar position as a professional gardener- i totally relate to her occasional panic about NOT having in a modern worldly situation! But by golly, our earth and our food security- thats a big part of every living things needs…and somewhere to call home…Blessed be this Earth in its hour of need.
Absolutely so so beautiful... Lifted me up...I worked on a bionamic farm here in S.A. It changed my life...learned to make cheese...am 74 and provide food for our Local Farners market in Garden Route S.A. what a beautiful soul you are....I want to watch this again...soo awesome. Thank you.
Absolutely fantastic! What a wonderful attitude to life this woman has, if only she could spread her joy and gratitude to us all. A truly Beautiful video ❤ Thank-you so much for presenting it to us, I genuinely feel my life has been enriched by having watched it 💕
Beautiful film! Technically one of the best films I have seen. The sound design and custom music track are beautiful. The directing skill shows in the heart brought to the film. And the editing is superb. Thank you all for making this film.
That was so beautiful. Thank you for making this film. It gives me so much hope to see people actually going this path and rejuvenating with nature. So now it's my turn, moving my body out in the garden and shoveling some earth, so this year's plants have some place to sit and grow.
Thank you for this beautiful and inspiring story to give hope to everyone. You are my biodynamic hero and regenerative permaculture hope. I love your beautiful song I would love to buy a recording of it, it gives me peace in my heart 🌬🌝🕊🌳❤
Hi Demita. Not sure if it's been released anywhere. If you'd like you can follow Brigid on IG, maybe there's more info about it there. @brigidfoodcrafter
We need so many more heart people like Brigid for our precious mother earth to survive:-) I could listen to her again and again. A very remarkable young woman.
What an amazing documentary, thank you for bringing it to the world! May it find those who need to see this and let it call them to take the journey to wholeness within and all around. Gardening is a beautiful representation of the wholeness within. When I allow fear and anxiety to be within me it is released from my consciousness and I am able to come to the recognition of wholeness within me and all around. What courage it takes to forge ahead on this path for the millions who will soon follow in our footsteps on this journey of recognition. Blessing there will be to the many who can walk this path in spirit and on Earth.
Amazing film, I felt very inspired after watching this through the story, perspective, the lady, the conversation, the soundtrack, and the song at the end. This was very great.
Thank you for another beautiful movie Mattias and all of you participating. Beautiful music and scenery! And as always an important and inspiring message! 🙏🏻
I hope such videos generate enough courage in city dwellers like me to embrace nature and live in harmony with the natural world. Brigid LeFevre's narrative was bordering on philosophy. Have been watching some permaculture videos lately and starting to see this more meaningful way of life.
Oh, this wisdom about the own humble role in gardening and fermenting is applicable for teaching as well, I think. Instead of forcing plants/people to become something they aren’t, we should just provide the space to enhance their natural development.

What an absolutely beautiful film :) The photography, the music, the wisdom, elegant humility, and peaceful prosperity are remarkable. Thank you :)
Thank you very much!
You're such a beautiful soul Brigid. Thank you Mattias for bringing another amazing story.
Glad you like the film! Yes, Brigid is amazing!
Thank you for sharing the wisdom, complex simplicity
Beautiful documentary! What a sovereign being she is. So inspiring
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you so much Quraiba! I was so happy to read your note. Much love!
Wonderful. Just what I needed to hear now in the month of March when I start my seeds and planning new varieties. Thank you so much both of you
Her life and spirit are beautiful. I can feel the peace she has as Im watching this.
Thank you Terri!
What a treasure Bridget is - such a wonderful story loved every minute xxx
Thank you so much Sally!
Brilliant. This is what we need more of in the world.
How inspiring, it has been almost a decade trying to go slow but you don’t realize when life accelerates you. Only when you start panting and have no choice but to pause you acknowledge your pace. Today was such a moment and serendipity led to this movie, Thank you from bottom of my heart for doing what you do.
💚
A revelation. And so thoughtful; your simple acknowledgment of the delights and provocations of working alongside people with many different abilities fits so snugly with your embrace of diversity among your plants. Thank you.
Thanks Julian!
Thank you so very much.
Sometimes, you just know a video is going to be great when you look at the thumbnail. This was amazing! And the interviewer was excellent, too!
Why, thank you very much! :)
She’s living her best life and sharing it with others. Beautifully simple and inspirational 😊 thank you
Very wise and brave woman! An inspiration 🥰
💛
Incrível, inspirador. Resgatou a minha fé de saber que não estou só. Grata por esse canal existir!
I own and operate a permaculture based farm. She is on another level with life. Living walkway/pathway etc. Just AMAZING!! and great video!! thank you.
Thank you Shawn!
Can’t like this enough, beautiful,in tune with nature as we should live and words spoken from the soul.
Thank you!
Sweet! Glad you enjoyed it!
ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL
THIS IS SO NECESSARY 🙌🏾🌹
She is a beautiful Soul! Praise God whom created her and her humble perspective of life!
💛
I am back watching this a 2nd time. She amazes me. She is one of those souls who have found themselves and are grounded and happy with who they are. She pulls me in and makes me want to spend a day or 2 with her listening to her thoughts, ideas, opinions and stories
Hello, do you know if this lady in this video has a website? I would love to contact her, thank you.
@@sacbe107 You can also put her name Brigid Lafevre in search For UA-cam and everything she is in will come up
Hey Thomas. Thanks for your comment. Sacbe, you can try her at her ig account @brigidfoodcrafter
This is real poetry in motion. Thanks for this interview. The subject matter, picture, the music, the voice and lady. ...all blend to speak to the deeps.

Thanking the soul that captured and presented this beautiful garden soul….
That would be me. :) Lovely, thank you Isabella!
These people like Brigid LeFevre, are the real angels among us.
Such an important documentary! What a great philosophy. Thank you
Thank you Palian!
You are very welcome!
Absolutely delightful. I wish we all could be born into this lifestyle...first. People are so disconnected.
You approach gardening from the same perspectives as I do. From a place where we're all a part of it all. This is so inspiring, Much love.
Thank you Keri!
Truly beautiful, Irish indeed hold ancestral knowledge of the mechanisms of nature, our relationship to it and the sciences to learn and teach was renowned in the ancient world, wonderful film, go raibh maith agat 🙏
Lovely, thank you so much for creating this documentary
Glad you enjoyed it Sophia!
You are wealthy because you have everything you need on hand. You do not need money to buy food because you already have food on hand and is readily available in your place. I'm dreaming to set up the same soon. I admire you.
💚
How about clothes and shelter and health insurance and trips to visit her sister? Where does (did) all that money come from to set up this idyllic lifestyle to begin with?
What a refreshing perspective. I was not raised this way but it resides within me.
Thanks JK.
Thank you ❤
Thanks Sylvia!
You might enjoy the longer version of the interview (audio only) in this podcast episode: www.campfire-stories.org/brigid-lefevre-on-life-soil-and-kimchi
@@campfire-stories I added it to my watch later 😃 Thank you! 🙏🙏
Lovely way to live life. I live a similar life here on my farm in Spain. I too feel very wealthy, surrounded by animals and plants.
Awesome! Thanks Elizabeth.
Phenomenal. Our future hinges on whether we head this advice or not.
Thanks John!

Remarkable story. We need more Brigids in this world.
What a wonderful woman. So well spoken and such great energy
Thank you Rudy!
When people ask: Can you make a living from this? We have to be bold & courageous....... I am alive, never die. Thankyou for making this inspired film. How I feel her fulfillment and satisfaction in life....... without $$$$
Thank you Maggie!
Thank you so much for this! 💚
Thank you.
Wow, thank you for this beautiful comment Rozann!

A truly Beautiful video ❤ Thank-you so much for presenting it to us, I genuinely feel my life has been enriched by having watched it 💕
Thank you so much for that beautiful comment!
Beautiful film! Technically one of the best films I have seen. The sound design and custom music track are beautiful. The directing skill shows in the heart brought to the film. And the editing is superb. Thank you all for making this film.
Wow, thank you Greg for noticing all the little things :)
So moving, I cant find the words.
My heart is stirring. 🍅🌶️🍊 she is radient.. a soul that knows!
That was so beautiful. Thank you for making this film. It gives me so much hope to see people actually going this path and rejuvenating with nature.
So now it's my turn, moving my body out in the garden and shoveling some earth, so this year's plants have some place to sit and grow.
Sweet! Me too. Thanks Surija!
What a beautiful soul! Thank you for interviewing Bridget 😍👏💕
You are so welcome!
This was so lovely to watch. Living in such a beautiful environment doing what you are passionate about is priceless.
It really is!
What can I say but, simply amazing. She is so connected to the cosmos. Thanks.
Thank you, this Is one of the most important and beautiful stories I've ever seen, biodynamics is the future of the planet.
Thank you so much! I'm glad it found its way to you!
Amazing film, I felt very inspired after watching this through the story, perspective, the lady, the conversation, the soundtrack, and the song at the end. This was very great.
Glad you liked it!
Thank you for another beautiful movie Mattias and all of you participating. Beautiful music and scenery! And as always an important and inspiring message! 🙏🏻
Thank you Anna! Glad you liked it!
I hope such videos generate enough courage in city dwellers like me to embrace nature and live in harmony with the natural world. Brigid LeFevre's narrative was bordering on philosophy. Have been watching some permaculture videos lately and starting to see this more meaningful way of life.
Thank you!
Very inspiring, very informative and very optimistic.... well done! This is the kind of film, I'd feel happy to watch and recommend and I just did 😊
Thank you for that!
Wow this wasn't about soil at all, but it happened to be EXACTLY what I needed to watch. It also inspired such beautiful conversation with my lover
Awesome! Thank you so much Bobby!
Thank you so much for sharing your farm and yourself. It is beautiful. All the best, mark
Thank you Mark. And you're welcome! :)
Oh, this wisdom about the own humble role in gardening and fermenting is applicable for teaching as well, I think. Instead of forcing plants/people to become something they aren’t, we should just provide the space to enhance their natural development.
This was life affirming! Thanks to all involved
Thank you for that! 💚
Thank you humans.
That was good to consume.
