- Barry wants to apologize for being a "violent asshole" etc., so he sends Sally a voice-to-text message while shopping and seems completely oblivious to the people around him.
Barry (2018), Season 3 Episode 6. - Фільми й анімація
Bill Haders directing style of uncomfortably slow long takes is hilarious and perfect for this show
Especially with how everyone starts to stare as him as the message gets more personal
Slow long takes are so overdone at this point
@@jordanjacksonshouseofhorrors As opposed to quickly edited scenes which are as rare as water in the desert.
@@altafkalam2716 great retort. That wasn’t my point but go off I guess
@@jordanjacksonshouseofhorrors I mean what was your point? Just being a contrarian for contrarians sake?
The classic Barry "Obvious violent hitman walking in a public space unnoticed and/or ignored". Love it.
The looks on the customer s faces as they hear him leaving that crazy message is the funniest part. 😂
Criminally underrated show.
Multiple award, include Emmy for best comedy and Bill Hader for best actor. twice! what r u even talking about?
@@user-nk4un8xg8w Still underrated. I hardly see anyone talking about this show. This show deserves to be way popular than it is right now.
@@user-nk4un8xg8w underrated in popularity, he means. it's kinda false for the first 2 seasons, but this third season is definitely poorly marketed, as the viewership has definitely dropped, while the quality stayed the same
@@tyc9909 I mean it's HBO's fault for not advertise it properly, or could be simply people rather watch something else
@@sxbtle6186 in a way I can see why people don't dig it, it's a lot of inside hollywood. you kinda need that showbiz knowledge to understand some part of the show. there's literally Jay Roach at the audition!
on the other hand season 1 when Barry talk about his first combat kill. it seems to connect a lot of veterans
that cut immediately after barry says oh man at 0:50 is impeccable
*Oh man this looks nice and it’s 40% off*
Sir you’re talking too loud.
@@jammin2575 Shit I'm sorry just please be quacky
I don’t think anyone noticed the dress coat he was looking at is the same one he wore to Chris’ wife’s house when she tried to kill him
Good catch !
Ooooh my god
Yup
This is quite honestly one of the most hysterical scenes I've ever seen. It's so simple and yet, relatable....... witty...... unexpected........ and propels the plot. Fucking great stuff.
After watching the finale. MAN this show knows how to make me cry and laugh hard.
Everyone here is trying to take sides. The fact of the matter is this is a perfect example of toxic co-dependency in a relationship. Sally fits the description of covert narcissism; she cannot empathize with anyone and has permanently adopted a victim complex that she uses to manipulate people. Not saying that she hasn't been a victim, but as a survival mechanism she's learned to use that to get what she wants. She asks Barry to hold a ton of emotional space for her while offering nothing in return. She's completely self-absorbed.
But Barry's legitimately a sociopath and a very dangerous dude, and what happened in the earlier scene was more than just him "yelling" at her. Anyone with a basic understanding of body language can gather that he was implying physical harm her in that moment. He walks up within inches of her, menacing down at her while shaking and acting completely unhinged. And when he realizes he's not going to get what he wants, he walks out without even a modicum of remorse or understanding of what he's done. He only finds it within himself to apologize after he understands that Sally is going to leave him as a means of keeping her around, but there's likely nothing genuine there.
Maybe there's hope for Barry. Either he's a psychopath from the womb and a lost cause, or he's been shaped into what he is, in which case he can change his trajectory. Sally clearly has a path out of her anti-social tendencies if she does some work on herself and gains some self awareness. Either way, neither of them are going to heal in a relationship together.
Amazing analysis
Well put
Damn gave me something to think about
Neither of them really knew each other. He projected his need for a normal wife and kid life onto her despite that being the last life she wants while she projects a nice guy onto him despite never taking two seconds to really get to know who Barry actually is.
Thank you. I always appreciate when people write 4 paragraphs stating what already is obvious to everyone in order to make themselves feel smart.
yeah she indeed dodge a "few bullets" haha
"If I suck balls, you're the king of suck-balls moutain."
RIP Akhmal. You may never hit your shot, but you "fuck you" to the very end (and RIP your left shoulder too).
I haven't laughed this hard throughout a show in a long long time. Scenes like these are so gold.
This show is amazing.
This scene was genius!
God, i had myself belly laughing HARD watching this scene for the first time. Hader knows how to direct comedy, and the editing is *chef's kiss*.
This entire scene is done with only 2 shots total. Wild
This is the voice to text representation that we sorely need
After Sallys breakdown in episode 7 I can 100000% see her running back to him lol hopefully not to die……
She'll find out Barry is a Hitman then hire him to take out Nathalie lol
@@CharlieBrown20XD6 this is what i was thinking too
Wow you’re right
close enough
She doesn’t die but she does kill a motherfucking piece of shit!!!
This is one of my fav moments of this season.
Somehow this is the worst thing Barry has done
This is GREAT! I just saw this in the show and immediately had to find it online to share it 😂 Great show and great clip here!
Everyone talks about the freeway chase but this was my favorite scene of season 3.
1:17 You have no fucking idea...
She literally dodged a bullet lol. I mean dating him for the long term, she would be prone to getting shot at some point.
@@Xerclipse she literally became a killer. Did you eatch the show?
this is the funniest fucking shit i've ever seen i came looking for this lil snippet and i'm glad i found what i was looking for 😂
I wonder if Hader's seen any of Roy Andersson's films, they feature long scenes that play out in long fly on the wall master shots that are uncomfortably dark and hilarious. Ari Aster's a big fan, wouldn't be surprised at all if Hader is too.
There's so many awesome scenes!!! This is one of my favorite
When I saw this scene I laughed so hard I couldn’t hear the rest of the scene

Sally surely did dodge a bullet in the series finale.
This would be a hilarious prank to do in public
Most toxic relationship I’ve seen on TV
“You dodged a bullet.” Lol later she would dodge an even bigger bullet named Sally.
*are no excuses
Hey sally this Dwight !
etcetera, etcetera
Et cetera.
Ha ha ha ha….
He shud watch the boys on Amazon prime
Lol. No lie, Barry is kind of a simp for her.
Yep and i don't think he do somthing bad to Sally well except he shout her. Which was strange when she laught.
@@angelgomezramos1015 true but she was also a drama queen that was too much her head up her ass.
She’s nothing special. It’s only cause she’s like the first woman to show romantic interest in him since he came out of the army. I think ever since he got out of the army, he’s been doing nothing but hits for fuches without any kind of social life up until s01e01
Yo have you ever been in a relationship.

Im sorry but this entire season feels like a fever dream, like its just so... off.
I was thinking that a bit too until this episode. It totally saved the season.
I think its kind of the point, Barry's mental state is deteriorating. He was a very high functioning sociopath, less so now. He cannot operate without someone doing the thinking for him, this latest episode was just so so funny IMO.
Tf you even talking about? You dont think ronny/lily episode feels like a fever dream?
It's the best season so far!!!
aha yes, Ronny/Lily is my fave episode, and had that sort of feel.@@ididntmeantoshootthatvietn5012
