In my family, my dad first got a maxima and when my brother turned 16, my dad gave the maxima to him the color was black and the next car he got was a GMC denali from this year 2018
They are PERFECT school cars! I have driven several of these and they are really something else! Especially if you want to tote your friends around in style and then blow them away with speed! lol
I watched so many of your car reviews. And this is the first time I really see your face through the window! Handsome guy! Thank you for your great job!
I see a lot of people bashing push button star and I agree with you 100%. Nothing beats holding the actual key of a car in your hand and turning it to start the car. I have no idea why you guys are saying it but that's how I see it
Saabkyle04, I really like your car reviews. Very good job. By the way, you are correct, it is a 3.5L V6 (i.e., VQ35DE engine). Your explanation of the 2.5L was clear to me. I knew that you didn't mean that it was offered in the Maxima.
I am considering buying this car. Took it for a test drive and I really enjoyed it. (Drove the sport version) It looks great as well. My only concern is the CVT transmission. Not that I didn't like the feel; I worry about the reliability. I know Nissan had the extended warranty for CVTs for 2003-2010 models but they stopped that with the 2011. Curious: has anyone had any major problems with the CVT in their Maximas?
I have a 2011 Maxima I bought new. No problems at 100,000 miles!!! I travel for work and this has been a great dependable car! I average 22 to 24 mpgs on the interstate doing 75 to 80 mph. Set the cruise at 55 mph on a 2 lane highways and get 27 to 28 mpgs. I always use premium fuel. If you can afford a car like this you can afford a few more bucks at fill up. Very dependable so far!
The Maxima is decent on gas for a 3.5 liter V6. So if you you do 70mph you an average of 19.9 to 20.2 miles per gallon. If your lead foot, it will get about 18.X miles per gallon. Reminder listed MPG number are based on a lower speed than 70mph.
This generation is far nicer looking than the bulbous 2004-2008 version! If I could have a "showcar", this would be one of my choices, even if it's a used Maxima.
Thank you kyle I was actually wanting to try these out but as soon as I seen that push start I'm not even going to waste my time now, but really thank you for this review it helps a lot, and saved a lot of time. Still nice car, but the electronic stuff is what I'm trying to avoid.
This is a closet you can get to a Nissan Teana J32 which have very similar interior but more luxury stuff, prettier steering wheel and exterior look little more prestige more Japanese style. Maybe a Teana mod should do if I get this Maxima
@Diomedes01 ok. I plan to look into the extended warranty anyway. They have already proven themselves worth the money on our 2001 E-320. So worth the extra few dollars.
ComfortablyxNumb59 I don't think that you realize that the G35/G37 is designed to be better than the Maxima on PURPOSE. I own a 2000 Nissan Maxima and have driven a 1994 Maxima as well - they have that fun factor and many of the major car reviewers agree that the older Maximas were lighter and more fun. You're right about the fact that owners won't be pushing their car everyday but heck why not spend a little bit more and get a car with near BMW like handling.
these cars grow on you~~!! just drive one and see what im talking about. stiched leather nav, nice sound system good handling pretty quick what more can u ask for besides rwd 6 speed manual lol!!!
@bryanb16th Unfortunately, the Nissan website indicates that the warranty only covers years 2003-2010. :-( I have test driven the 2011 Maxima and I really like the car. Unfortunately, no dealer in my area has a 2010 with the features I am looking for. The powertrain is still 5 years, 60k on the 2011 version. I may just opt to get an extended warranty just to be safe.
I put 91/93 octane (whatever is available) into my 2002 Nissan Altima 3.5 SE, the same series engine as this. Way better performance than the gas the dealership put in (87, they said it was fine, bulls***). It revs and responds quicker. No way I'll go back below 91. Nissan recommends at least 91 for it's VQ engine series anyway.
@Diomedes01 Have not heard that Nissan discontinued the 15year 150,000mile warranty on the CTV. Guess I've have to get my 2010 ASAP. I looked and drove the a 2010 SV Ocean Gray a few weeks ago.
The Maxima was once the best V6 Jap sports sedan out there. Now it's terrible, that CVT is only good for cruising and while it's fast it hardly feels that way because of no manual option and not a straight up automatic. Put forth a few more dollars and go for the G35 sedan. Being RWD thats a total monster and the most you will give up when driving the G35 or G37 is a bit of ride comfort.
In my family, my dad first got a maxima and when my brother turned 16, my dad gave the maxima to him the color was black and the next car he got was a GMC denali from this year 2018
Thumbs Up If you like or have a Nissan Maxima
I have a Altima 2012
My dad had a 2000 Maxima from 2000 to 2011.
I have a 2009 maxima
04 Maxima
My pops has a 2018 model
They are PERFECT school cars! I have driven several of these and they are really something else! Especially if you want to tote your friends around in style and then blow them away with speed! lol
I watched so many of your car reviews. And this is the first time I really see your face through the window! Handsome guy! Thank you for your great job!
Nissan and Infiniti > Both my favor it because they're the same. I stand by them
Man that Maxima looks badass
Duh, it’s a Maxima, not a freaking Altima
Just brought a 2012 maxina...love it to death
I love the way this car looks because it has "hips" around the back wheels and it makes it look so sexy!
2:04 I like that startup
All that's missing in this car is a 6-speed manual option.
Bought one in 2022. 163,000 miles. Like new!! All good 3 mos later.
nice video. So you just have to have the key on you to start the car & unlock the door with the button on the door handle?
I see a lot of people bashing push button star and I agree with you 100%. Nothing beats holding the actual key of a car in your hand and turning it to start the car. I have no idea why you guys are saying it but that's how I see it
I'm wondering should I get a 2009 Nissan Maxima 3.5 sv it's fully loaded. Never had a Nissan coming from a 2007 chevy impala
Ayee DonOnTv Yes, I love mine. It's treated me well, and it's impressed my friends when they scoffed that I drive a Nissan until they got inside.
Yes great car I hav a Altima 3.5 which has a maxima engine an I love it!!
Great video as always! love the lines of the new Maximas!

Perfect review & great Nissan.

Did it come with a six speed or CVT
Still CVT .
Ok I guess the six speed is gone

GOOD REVIEW & GREAT CAR.

For once the Maxima was a generation AHEAD of the Altima when usually it's the other way around.
Is their a way to start up a lexus by the key in case your smart key dies?
wow that sounds quite i couldnt tell if it was on or not, and how is the ride like if i am going to be traveling short 200 mile trips?
This car is beautiful.
That car with premium and premium tech is the shiznit.
Thank you kyle I was actually wanting to try these out but as soon as I seen that push start I'm not even going to waste my time now, but really thank you for this review it helps a lot, and saved a lot of time. Still nice car, but the electronic stuff is what I'm trying to avoid.
2:26 I like that song
i got nissan maxima a33 3.0 v6!
And i love it!
Very durable car.
you should do a video on a 2013 Nissan maxima
This is a closet you can get to a Nissan Teana J32 which have very similar interior but more luxury stuff, prettier steering wheel and exterior look little more prestige more Japanese style. Maybe a Teana mod should do if I get this Maxima
MAN I love the engines in these car :D 5* kyle great vid :)
I hope you don't think this is rude. But, don't you usually do start-ups first?
hey im looking to buy a 2009 altima coupe 3.5 but i wanna know if 33,215 miles are too much fot the year of the car???? thank you!!!
yep it's a 3.5 and a CVT transmission
I thought that you were a used car salesman until I saw your update video. Whoops, shoulda got my facts straigh :)
the 2009-present Nissan Maxima is assembled in
Smyrna, Tennessee, USA
Face reveal @ 1:20
Does this car have Bluetooth??
Does this particular car or other base model 2009-2014 Maximas have Bluetooth hands free phone and aux?
are those cup holders in the front doors?
You should do a new fully loaded maxima
the transmission on the 2009-present Nissan Maxima
Transmission
CVT (Ratios:2.371-0.439)
@tickross yah it comes standard the SV trim
do the 09 models come with panel shifters???
Q: when u use the paddle shifters do u take ur foot off the accelerator?
WOW I really like the body style of the 2009 Nissan Maxima it almost looks like a Luxury sedan but cheaper

3:30 I like that horn
With all the features and technology this car has it might as well wear an infiniti badge!...its a pretty luxurious car when you load it up!
is this car better than the new Acura tsx?
Is this fwd ??
Yes
Yes

where is the car charger area?
My brother just got a 2009 Nissan Altima 2.5 SL.. I love it.. So much better then his old car.. 98 chev cavalier.. lol.
Is the car worth the money?
@shoxrux93 No. It's cluthless and you can leave your foot on the accelerator.
This will be my next car
That is one Bad Ass Nissan!
Also make sure it's 2012 SV w/ Premium Package!
@Motorfordtoyota You don't even like the new model Altima's?
in all honestly, I think you should do another review of the maxima or at least one that's fully loaded.
these cars grow on you~~!! just drive one and see what im talking about. stiched leather nav, nice sound system good handling pretty quick what more can u ask for besides rwd 6 speed manual lol!!!

Well it looks better than the old one so its an improvement....
where is this maxima?
@saabkyle04 Since 1984 ALL Maximas have been V-6s and unlike the cheaper Altima, Carmy, or Accord the Maxima come standard with V-6 power.
You should put premium into any car you own anyways. Its damn 20 cents more, and is so much better for your car than anything under 91oct
I put 91/93 octane (whatever is available) into my 2002 Nissan Altima 3.5 SE, the same series engine as this. Wait, isn't it a 3.7L producing 290hp in those new models??
This clearly is a base model.instead of the navigation its got an info center
how is the cvt transmisson ?
Max Power ....Terrible! ...Stay far away from these!
I love Nissan cars.
im getting one of these, its real nice.
Back then he didn’t talk so much during car reviews lol
@Diomedes01 Have not heard that Nissan discontinued the 15year 150,000mile warranty on the CTV. Guess I've have to get my 2010 ASAP. I looked and drove the a 2010 SV Ocean Gray a few weeks ago.

Beautiful vehicle
Can you please review 2012 Maxima
Thanks!
this, or es350?
Nissan said that is a sedan version of the 370z they pretty much stretched the 370z and turned it into a maxima.
FWD tho. I like to think the g35 as the true 350 sedans lol
It would need the 3.7 for that to be accurate
@@BurnedAura68 u sir are correct. The g35 370 and nissan skyline are the same if not similar cars. Overseas they call the g35 a skyline.
@TheOneforbrian Not really. Leather seats looks way better on any maxima
the 2009 Nissan Maxima only comes with a 3.5 V6.
Looks like it's doing well at 30K miles...so far so good=.
that thing looks like the gtr from the front it looks oh so much better than my malibu
yeah there is
@HB2369 They come in leather seats! but those are way more expensive. I see what you're saying though... cloth seats don't look that good.
My older brother has a 2014 Nissan maxima
It's funny how that car changed to a sport sedan within a year.
Da Gangsta’s car
My brother wants a black one
I like the cloth on those seats
I like the fact you put on Tool to test the Sound System.
@jjchargerboy16 No, the last Nissan I liked was about 2000, the pathfinder.
I do like it
my next car, or a silver altima v6
Im sure they can do better with the interior. No leather seats ?? Its not that inviting to me
@eddox94 not really..........it looks more like a back of a mercedes
A killer exterior...But for the base Maxima, the interior is a little disappointing. The SV trim looks a lot better
