Nice to see alberta scenery. I just bought a Ctsw but I must admit I love the tail wheel on your plane and big tires. Up in the nwt skis would be a nice option
Have been hoping for another video! Great surprise to see a fresh upload. I’m in the final few hours before my PPL check ride and have been training in a Pipistrel Alpha. The Virus tail-wheel with bush tires is the ultimate dream. Videos like this help remind me what I’m working towards :)
Hi, why did you have to send the rocket back? I think im a little confused in thinking only the parachute has to be repacked and the rocket is good for 30 years.
Very interesting. So you ship a deactivated rocket to pipistrel, do they then re-activate it or send you a new rocket? Or do you have to re activate it when they send it back? Did you not worry about setting it off accidentally or is that why you taped the pin in the handle to it? Very brave of you to attempt this I would love to see a video of you putting it back in again.
That’s insane sorry to hear. There was big discussion on pipistrel forum recently about this shop. They are not authorized by grs to do repacks. They have no training from grs apparently and do not use same rockets. I’m sure it’s fine but just so you are aware. Total cost to get mine overhauled from factory is 1300 euro.
@@DarrylZubot they did send the parachute back to Czech Republic for repack - so you end up paying for installation, delivery etc .. as far as I know you can’t just have the new rocket send to your place ……you need to have permits etc … anyway, it is expensive but , well ….everything even remotely related to planes is :-)
@@walterrawdanik8077 that’s great it was factory repacked. Crazy how much they charge to be middle men in this transaction. In Canada you can ship and receive the rocket but it’s finding a company to ship it. It’s no problem getting to Toronto but still have to find a company to get it from Toronto to Alberta.

Glad to have another video from you! It's been a while.

Aw, I wanted to see Dave the mechanic set off the rocket.
