Great tip...I learned this lesson the hard way and had to go 2 miles upriver to the dock and take off the grate to clear debris...wasting about an hour of daylight.
my waverunner lost acceleration, it runs fast but takes longer to pick up speed. I looked in the grate and see nothing, and I also looked in the back and it looks clean and all in good order, no visible damage. Someone told me to flush engine cooling system with the garden hose and attachment, is that going to fix the lost acceleration? and why? thank you

I just leave my ski out in the water waist deep and not bring it near sand at all. I doesnt really go anywhere.
