Dude get rid of the Mr.Buddy and get a diesel heater. I live in Bozeman and I've been in a truck camper for 6 years. I used a Vevor 5Kw in my truck camper. I now live in a 38 foot toy hauler and use a 8kw and it keeps my place at 77 degrees and burns about a quarter gal of diesel a day if I run it for 8-10 hrs a day on med. And its been cold lately but not as cold as its going to get.Its a dry heat so you don't have to worry about condensation. Trust me they are great. Also good going with the channel. I watch from time to time.
I love the music you choose for the background it's so appropriate for the landscape and beautiful scenery. You are one hell of a cook. Either you're secretly a professional chef, or you just have the instincts of one, because you sure know how to make food look good, and taste that way as well I'm sure. Like your casual style, very relaxing, and you seem to incorporate a lot. ABSOLUTELY ❤ your new shell because cooking indoors, much cozier, especially during inclement weather. Enjoy the spots you pick for camping, even the ones that are not isolated. The one fishing near the river is really, really beautiful. What a place to own property. Your nature is diligent so with practice you'll become the fisherman you hope to be. 👍
Fire up the built in furnace that came with the camper. Check for leaks with soapy water, blow out the dust. Way more economical and probably puts out more btu's than that toy heater.
Great channel, man. I live in the area as well and your adventures are inspiring me to get out and see more of it. Exciting to watch. Keep beating that status quo!
I look forward to each of your videos, not only the scenery, but the truck camper life and the cooking! I’m always blown away by the beautiful scenery and the photography. They’re just great!
You probably know, but there is a hose that can connect your Buddy Heater to the 20 pound propane tanks (or larger ones), and an adapter to refill the one pound Coleman tanks from the 20 pound tanks (or larger ones). Might find a mounting spot on the outside of the camper for the larger tank.
He's could just t into the on board propane tank for the buddy heater until he gets the built in camper heater working. Guess it's down due to the electrical problems.
Dude! You need to get a Chinese Diesel Heater! Easy to install, work great, you'll never go back to a buddy heater. I have one installed in my van, hooked up to a 5 gallon fuel tank and a lithium battery. Enjoy your video's!
I was disappointed no Woo with the coffee?! I think you should do a compilation of woo’s from your morning coffees and post it as a short.. also keep up with the fly fishing. Don’t be disappointed about the lack of the catch it’s not always catching the fish but the fishing itself that makes it fun and relaxing. I am sure you know that already though. I am trying to teach this to my 5 and 8 year old sons and that fishing takes patience also. Thanks as always for making artistic videos. So many UA-camrs just throw videos together but yours show true filmmaking art.
Get a 5lb refillable propane bottle. Cost to fill it is the same price as you're paying for one 1lb bottle & better for environment.✌ A Webasto heater install would also be a great idea.
You can buy/ make adapters to refill the small propane bottles with a big bottles… guess you could also just make an adapter to run a buddy heater off a big tank
Hey Jonathan. Awesome video as always. Well I'm curious, I see something out your window at 12:52 timestamp and it's moving I can't make out what it is, I'm hoping that it's just a cow but looks maybe like a bear. Beautiful! The scenery is awesome! Thank you for sharing. When I was younger, I went horseback riding in the Grand Tetons. It was so beautiful, and I did not want to leave.👏❤️
Welcome to Montana Jonathan! You were within a couple of miles of where I live at the beginning of your vid. You cruised through at the perfect time. Full-on snow and cold now! That section of the Yellowstone is a tough river to fish without a boat, or at least waders. Easier accessible good fishing holes going West towards Livingston.
Suggestion for ur next duty dish clean up- We use a cheap plastic Coleman collapsible sink ( has 2 bins to it) for dirty dishes. I thought it would be meh but it turns out 2 b really convenient. Especially when we add some hot kettle water to it. Have fun out there!
“You’re a good little road buddy”, then unceremoniously tosses the mouse into the dumpster. 😅 I almost spat out my pancakes. Always looking forward to your videos. I watch all the ads to support your adventures.
Rice-a-Roni is a great staple. As a kid my Mom would make it the main course by putting ground beef into it, and then serving some veggies on the side. I make a really cheap version with fried white rice, broccoli, carrots, and ground beef or chicken and some spice...leftovers even freeze well.
I agree on the idea of buying a adapter to refill your own small containers. Just don't tell us your doing it or the Karen's will freak out about how you shouldn't refill them. Also they do sell hose adapters so you could use the campers propane system.
Good video, thanks for posting it. You might need to check your truck’s wiring if you never saw your little road buddy until he died. He might have been hiding up in your wiring…
I was stationed in Great Falls Montana, Big sky country. Yes, Montana has some absolutely stunning scenery and lots of wilderness. Glad to see you out there enjoying an adventure. Take care and God bless.
Try dropping your fly on the downstream side of those rocks, into the eddy currents where they get loads of oxygen and wait for the buffet to float past them. Polarized sunglasses reduce that glare off the water.

They can also get in through the fresh air intake vent holes under the black cover below wipers. Thats probably how he got in. Unless he just jumped in when door was open
A brown nymph with an orange ring around the neck will catch trout anywhere in MT or ID this time of year. Dry flies are tougher because theres no hatch going on in the snow. Good luck and great videos!

Up your game to the next level on those tacos by using about 2/3 cup Greek Plain yogurt and mix in 1 tsp of the Adobo sauce from a small jar of chipotle peppers with adobo sauce. Just a bit of the sauce as the peppers might be too hot. Plain Greek yogurt has no flavor but this is my main thing for any taco. The Greek yogurt is also fat free, high in protein, sugar free, salt free and good source of probiotics. So you can eat as much as you want. Take the plain Greek yogurt and mix in 3 or 4 drops of lemon juice and it is a 7 out of 10 for sour cream. Again, eat as much as you want. As for the fishing, save yourself the frustration and time and stop by any local fly fishing store and they will tell you what flies to use exactly on which rivers for what time of year in their local area. It takes alot of the guessing out of it.

Hey Jon!!!
Mice 🐁 entered into engine then escape on the floor of your favorite pick up truck 🛻
But it’s frozen…..mice ain’t survived because of freezing. I’m glad you respect mice 🐭 into “Dumpster cemetery”.
Montana is very beautiful state in USA 🇺🇸. I’ll be there later on. You’re so lucky that animals ain’t stalking you. It could be dangerous.
Anyway, you had adorable times in Montana. See ya next journey to destinations!
We had half an inch of snow here in Huber Heights, OH 2 days ago.
Great adventure, always enjoy your videos. Venture On 🙂
Can’t wait until you get the big 100 thousand!
Am glad you are enjoying Montana. I have lived here for over 50 years. Am not far from Glacier Park. Love watching your videos. How long are you in Montana for? Stay safe. Lot's of bears have been roaming my town.
Sorry to hear you lost your little road buddy, but probably for the best before he gnawed on some wires. Yet another great vid and some epic locations; mountain shot by the stream was beautiful!
Hey, if you don’t follow “Alex Lives Well”, you should checker her, yes her, out! She’s doing a full reno of her vintage Bigfoot; you might be able to get some insight and ideas for your reno.
Have you ever thought of starting a food truck? Damn you always make my mouth water! 🤤
Already looking forward to your next vid and destination. Until then, continued safe travels
So beautiful. I have had more luck in Michigan trout streams using a spinning rod with bait.
Those tacos look bomb my dude. Well done. Greetings from south Texas and keep making great vids!
