If the engine light is on on your Dodge Journey and it is related to oxygen sensor this video will show you how to know if oxygen sensor is bad by a simple test. In this video we will show you how to test upstream and downstream oxygen sensor on Dodge Journey / Fiat Freemont. In Europe Fiat Freemont is actually Dodge Journey and that is why it should be the same to test upstream and downstream oxygen sensor. We will demonstrated how to test upstream and downstream oxygen sensor on a 2012 Dodge Journey but it should be the same for the whole generation.

I thank you for this video. It showed me how to check my O2 sensor in my Journey. I found out my bank 2 sensor 1 was bad because of this. But mayby you can help with what happened next. I now get a OBD2 message of P219B (air fuel mixture imbalance on bank 2). I read the sensors again and my new sensor doesn't go to the same higher voltage as bank 1 sensor 1. They both got to the bottom voltage of 0.055 and bank 1 sensor 1 has a top voltage of 0.875 and bank 2 sensor 2 has a top of 0.755. would this cause the imbalance on that bank? Should the voltage almost read 0.9 volts? It's a frustrating situation and it would be wonderful if you could solve it. Thanks for the great video's, keep up the excellent work!
I have code p0420 2013 dodge journey 2.4l.. Is it a O2 sensor or catalytic converter ?
I have a 2016 with the same code, it was the downstream O2 sensor.

Hallo I have 2015 Chrysler town and country 3.6 .and I have p0430 code catalytic converter below threshold bank 2.. can it be oxygen sensor or catalytic converter is bad ? Da car driving normal with de check engine light ..wat can i do to fix this issue?
had battery replaced and alternater. driven my car 400 miles after replacement. Been to the emissions 4 times and it’s still not ready. Replaced dias fuse. what is going on?
Does the check engine light have to be on for this machine to work?
If your asking if the scanner can give you this data even if the check engine light is not on, the answer is yes! Even if your vehicle runs fine, the sensors are always talking to the computer. Check engine light usually comes on if data is not in the normal range. Sometimes, light may have come on but go out on its own. A code reader should be able to read stored code for why check engine light came on before even if it is not on now.
