The way the "must land or surrender this territory" thing works is that all flying units on that side start to take a leadership debuff that steadily builds over time, with no limit to it. You can see it if you check their leadership.
17:12 yes there is a way to open more rifts. Few minutes earlier you looked at a rite that said "open a rift at the target army's location" (but apparently the side benefit of gaining a unit took your attention)
I think the reason for the rift in the Empire is that it's close to Mordheim, which be'lakor had a hand in being the shadow lord that the cult of the possessed worshipped. His plan there was to use Mordheim to escape, but it went tits up and left him in a prison even smaller than his previous one. How did he escape, your guess is as good as mine.
Absolutely love the chaos warriors as a faction! Belakor is definitely one of the best too. You do a lot of specific god armies so maybe Belakors should be mostly undivided chosen with some demon support? Love the content man!

I went to a haunted attraction park I use to work at to hang out with friends. It was cold so we were all around a bon fire inside a round metal horse tank. Well, at some point my foot ended up against the metal for an unknown period of time, and I melted 3in off the front of my shoe and got 3rd degree burns on my toes. Since I have bad blood flow to the foot because of the nerve damage 20yrs ago, I am going to lose the toes. They're currently still on my feet until surgery can be scheduled, but they look pretty nasty! I've already lost the nails on those 3 toes.
Honestly, Be'lakor and the Beastmen are imo the best Chaos factions. The Beastmen destroy civilization and with it Order, while Be'lakor wants to overthrow the main powers of the Warp. Absolute units that deserve more spotlight.
In my Belakor campaign, I died early to Oxylotl gunning for me mid-campaign. So the next time I took the portal down there to eliminate him early. Cuts early souls pretty hard, but it beats being ambushed routinely. You also get to snipe Kairos.

You're gonna want to send out agents to see the world, so you use use enemy armies to open portals where you want to go.
One of the rift is near Mordheim. So I guess it has some lore in it.
